Any evidence of predation in the water? Crayfish burrows open? Raccoons leaving any evidence along the shoreline? Overnight poachers leaving trash behind? Many use live bait or cut bait and leave it behind when they leave. That is going to attract other fish and decomposers.
In our place there are bass fish but they are not the target for fishing, generally the targets are tilapia, carp and snakehead fish, even though there are also bass fish but they are small, I use small shrimp as bait

For those without sonar equipment, how do you find the bait? What did you all do before sonar?

@@theoriginaltech019 yeah I have a jon boat thats modded for bass fishing but I dont have sonar equipment. :/
