I also really liked it when Joy you got angry with Nathan it helped him finally get out of the wheelchair and I also found you very safe towards Jackson when he is in his soapbox 💗💗💗💗
I feel like sometimes you can be too in control. Haley is like that sometimes so much so when she gets pissed it's so much sweeter. It's like unleash the fury Haley lol
Haley is like a boiling pot she holds it all in time and time again until it boils up past the surface she reaches her breaking point and explodes like a reacter. It's uncommon for Haleys character so thats why its more captivating to watch her unleash the fury, it relieves the audience to see her finally release .
I loved episode 2 too Joy when I saw you play with Jackson I had the serious impression that you were really his mother so much you played Jamie's mother with your facial expressions and the game with your eyes how you looked at him you really play the mother with the children 😍😍😍
One of my favourite episodes seeing Brooke with Jamie the whole “I’m taking a stand!” And Skills relationship with Jamie!! I love this episode so much. Thank you for being vulnerable that moment about grief and how you picked each other up was beautiful. I had my first big loss this year, I lost my beautiful soul dog Jess in April and it was the hardest thing in the world
Yeah he has such cute relationships with Skills & Brooke. I love the Jamie and Brooke relationship. You get to see a bit of a diff side of Brooke it's a great motivating transition into Brookes storyline of her maternal need to have her own baby.
I agree with Sophia about the Nathan and Haley situation. The thing is Haley always tries to do her best and be kind to Nathan in these situations and that solves the problem for a moment, but then he ends up repeating these things. When we rewatch the show, knowing what happens, we see that, even though she doesn't have the tools and knowledge necessary to deal with these problems, Haley is always trying to help Nathan. And we saw her try in every way: she talked to him many times, she was kind, she asked him to be more careful with himself; In the flashback, we saw her literally giving him instructions, like: "have fun, but don't do this or that." And we see Lucas doing the same and even Whitey talking to him about it. And the situation always repeats it.
This is definitely true, and there’s also the fact Haley was missing half her support system with Peyton and Brooke not being there even though we definitely see Lucas and his friends pick up some slack. When they all meet again for the first time you can just see how emotionally exhausted she is. It’s not just that Haley decided 4 months was too long for her take his behavior; it was that Nathan decided IN FOUR MONTHS that he’d never play basketball again and if he couldn’t do that, nothing else mattered. That mindset can be absolutely maddening from someone who seems to be able to anything they really want even if it’s hard, BUT this is the second time his basketball dream has been k*lled with his opportunity of Duke being taken away, and guilt because he knew this was the fallout of his own bad decision. It’s just a lot of ignoring all the previous trauma until it bites you in the butt. Plus, I’m sure whatever her own feelings were, they were doubled every time Jamie was disappointed. I was totally here for her finally snapping. You could see it coming because Lucas was telling her she had to start pushing him, and she wanted to be supportive and just do the whole ‘fake til you make it’ thing she tends to do. Eventually enough’s enough. And then we get to see that effort, and it’s maybe just a small step, but the decision is almost more important because Nathan at least has a track record of follow through. Honestly, this episode was just so beautifully done.
There is an really important scene between the girls that it was deleted from this episode 💔 Where they are talking while Haley interview another nanny and she explains how the situation is: that Skills and Lucas will no longer be able to take care of Jamie because the basketball season, Haley will start to have her own class at school, that Nathan refuses to go to the doctor and physical therapy and that she has to figure out everything at that moment. And that's why Brooke takes care of Jamie and Peyton goes with Nathan.
Yeah they're great. And they made each character iconic. You can have great characters but the actors don't fit right and the show bombs. The characters were great bc each actress fit their shoes and made them great. Not to mention they have great on and off screen chemistry.
Also, Haley has always found a way to fix things for Nathan, but it's gotten to the point where she can't fix it, no one else can, only Nathan. I always saw her reaction as a person who is seeing the person she loves most like this and don't know what to do anymore because she has already tried every possible way. It's a parallel with the class scene, she tried the easy way and it didn't work, let's try another way. It's not six months of this situation, it's six years (since they met).
That's kind of marriage though, you know. You can't do it for them, but you can do it with them. It's a united front, partnership, team effort. Highest highs , lowest lows, you stick by them whatever way the wind blows.
I think both Haley and Nathan were valid with how they felt in this situation. Haley had a right to be angry that Nathan wasn’t showing up for her and Jamie, and that he wasn’t making moves to make himself heal and be better but Nathan is also valid because he’s become disabled
I’m sad you guys didn’t touch more on Lindsey. This is the episode with the funny scene where Brooke meets her for the first time. I love that scene, and Peyton disappearing on the night out when Lindsey appears. I do hope we dig into the meat and potato’s of the Lucas/peyton/Lindsey storyline
Haley was like Michelle Pheiffer in Dangerous Minds. Lol
❤Sophia has a great contagious laugh. Its like " aha. Ha.haaaa"
That was such a great scene- Peyton telling Lucas his art matters 😭
Dan would be a PI lol always sneaking around
No , he's a felon. It's a different kind of PI

When someone gets sick, sometimes it's harder for the caretaker

Love you girls!

Did Whitey die on the show?
