Godparents are what Rob described. My mom is a godmother to many of my cousins but also to a couple of her close friends’s kids.

My family is Catholic and they typically only choose family to be Godparents. When the baby is baptized the Godmother and Godfather are present on stage with the family to show they will help raise and take care of the child.

Both of my god parents are related to me. It's my aunt and my step grandmother ☺️

I understand everyone has careers and those careers are blossoming. And they are booked and busy. But it’s not the same as it was at the beginning. I’d rather them take a break and be all present then just half arsed produced episodes. No hate towards them whatsoever

My mom always told me my uncle (dads brother) was my godfather. I assume that means his wife when I was born was my godmother but they divorced not long after 😅 i don't think it changed anything about our relationship and thankfully he never needed to step up.

Haley is like a boiling pot she holds it all in time and time again until it boils up past the surface she reaches her breaking point and explodes like a reacter. It's uncommon for Haleys character so thats why its more captivating to watch her unleash the fury, it relieves the audience to see her finally release .

I kind of like that it took Dan to take down Carrie. Psycho vs psycho. Its not right bc of the man on woman violence. Never justified. But I mean its not just a man , its Dan. I mean thats his character he has that evil streak in him . There is no way he would of or could have handled it differently. Especially since he just got out of prison. Hes not going to call the police ( thats a lucas move)hes going to do what Dan does. Sometimes the devil you know is the devil you need . Alternatively, it would have been interesting if Carrie was attacked by a female. I just dont see Haley doing that or any of the female characters. It really had to be Dan thats very much in his wheelhouse its within his character. Also its somewhat of a redemption arc to be like a gangster grandpa.

I love that they call out these misogynistic men and the creepy show runner. Its very important to address these issues and those creepy men. Those men need to know and learn the power of women.. disrespectfully. So many times women are taught to be silent and submissive as if we're the inferior gender. F that. Speak out always!

I loved this episode because Haley recognizes that Nathan should have been with them and that she should have accepted him coming home but I also loved when Jamie comes home and says "mom" and Haley sees him says "oh my baby" and hugs him tightly it was my favorite scene also the kissing scene in the kitchen in the rain I felt like I was going back to season 1 when Nathan kisses Haley and Haley replies "you shouldn't have done that" and Nathan replies "I really wanted to" and Haley holds her hair puts her arms around his neck and says yeah and kisses Nathan it was very romantic for me this episode 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

I'm a woman close to my 60s and I just found OTH. Just binged watched every episode! I do believe this is the best series I've ever watched. Hands down I loved this show! I fell in love with all the characters. Thank you guys so much!

I didn't like this episode where Haley said that she shouldn't have tried to change Nathan when she had done worse by kissing Chris Keller in season 2 twice and another time in season 3 she should have forgiven to Nathan as he had forgiven him at the time Haley for me was cruel and unfair towards Nathan

Speaking of local scandals, small towns, and prostitution... My high school AP picked up an undercover cop. I felt really bad for his daughter whow as in my brother's grade because everyone knew her Dad was picking up prostitutes.

I love this episode!!! I love Nathan in this episode. He is my favorite. But I love Peyton and Jake in this episode.

You guys, I am rewatching season 5 and I am loving it, only have seen it a million times, lol. Please bring Jackson Brundage on the pod before you're done. He was such an important character and played the personification of Naley's love. He was THE most adorable kid, and his perfomances till the end were so good. Give him the spotlight. An episode with him, Joy and James would be a dream.

The thing that really gets me about the whole teacher/student thing as a teacher is that ethics aside (SUPER UNETHICAL) its also illegal in most states for s public school teacher to have sexual contact with a student EVEN IF they are 18.
