  • The Governor of Arkansas, Asa Hutchinson, has scheduled eight men to be put to death within ten days of each other. The reason for the unprecedented timetable is to use up the state's supply of a lethal injection drug called midazolam before it expires.

So he murdered someone, got a life sentence (max sentence aside from death), escaped and then killed more people!?! How is that someone who will learn their lesson?
Death penalty was the only punishment left in the book!
If he was truly sorry, he would accept the punishment with grace

Let’s be real, Kenneth Williams brutally executed 2 hostages from a robbery, managed to spare his life by getting a life sentence only to escape and murder another 2 people, im against the death penalty in most cases but certain people deserve death if not only to give so many family’s closure and imo Kenneth got what he deserved in a far more humane fashion to what he did to his innocent victims.

What if they were truly innocent? Is that truly justice to put someone in a tomb for 20years and then be executed. I dont have a moral problem with the death penalty. I have a problem with innocent people being executed. There have been hundreds of exoneration's and people that were found innocent after they were executed. God doesn't want vengeance, these quilty people have to stand before god which is ultimate justice.

Like I said before I’m against the death penalty because of how flawed it is but make no mistake some of these guys, serial killers, child murderer and rapists they deserve death in some cases that’s just my opinion.

I'm on the fence about this. How easy would it be if word got around that X murdered your child........ the family of murdered child gets to get a family posse together and go murder their child, or kill the murderer?

  • @bookhangoverz4945
    @bookhangoverz4945 2 роки тому +7

THIS! This is why I’m in such limbo about the death penalty. They committed an awful crime and get the death penalty. And after years on death row awaiting their death, they completely change. They become a different person. Most of these inmates had a vile upbringing and they don’t know any better when they commit the crime. So they go to prison where they have structure and guidance and they become the person they were meant to be. You see the potential in them and you see that they truly regret what they did. And that’s what makes it so hard and so so sad. Yes, Everyone makes mistakes! And we pay for those mistakes. They committed the ultimate mistake, and so they must pay the ultimate penalty. But damn…. You can’t help but feel bad for the person especially the ones who changed for the better. They are not the same person who committed the crime so long ago, but yet, they are. Ughhhh!!!! This is why I struggle with the death penalty. 🥺🥺

I don’t believe in the death penalty but if someone knows it exists in their state and they go ahead and commit a crime like murder, they run the risk of being given the death penalty. I understand that childhood has a major bearing on negative adult behaviour so it should be considered but as human beings, to take the life of another person for any reason other than self defence, I struggle with that. It’s a difficult topic.

It's amazing how sadistic humans become when they've been wronged or feel like they've been wrong.
Not only do you say somebody needs to be killed, but you also want them to die in the brutal and torturous way possible... You're basically like Islamic extremists but with a different cause and no way to carry out your barbaric acts.

I have served 27 1/2 years in prison, straight. I'm not big on the death penalty but I don't like when admittedly guilty inmates plead for their lives. I understand their family's pleading for their lives to be spayed, but as the murderer, you don't have that right bcuz you didn't afford it to your victim

Medazamam is a heavy duty sedative used in many surgeries worldwide daily. It works very well. The only issue is if the needle is inserted correctly , and this is an issue with all meds, The laws in the US STATE THAT A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL CAN NOT ASSIST IN AN EXECUTION , so , you have no trained medical staff there to insert the needle into the correct point of the veins. If the whiners were the one on that gurney, they would be crying for professionals to insert the needles every time.

To foxy lady: death is a punishment that should be administered to who go around killing people and depriving them of the chance of living, using the excuse of coming from a dysfunctional home and family and being abused is no excuse for a person to go on a killing spree, so if the authorities see it fit to execute such a person then I'd say justice is served

I agree the drug must make the person go from this world to an other world with no pain if possible.
If there is some pain, I don’t think it would be any greater than that he inflicted upon those people he admitted he killed and their relatives.
No one likes pain so spare it to everyone whenever you can.

I wonder do the lawyers ever stop and think about, when they're arguing for their client, (who's on the row because they murdered someone), and they're trying to argue against the drugs being used, until then all of these horror stories, and the pain that could damn well feel, but can't say anything because their lungs are paralyzed, and them feeling like they're suffocating, and on fire at the same time, which is true, we have seen that has happened time and time again, however their lawyers, so they know that, we have never saw a case, that has won against this argument, or been commuted because of these drugs, so it's like, as a lawyer, Do You realize by wasting all this time, and telling the stories in front of your client, and then just to lose, that you're actually the one making it worse for them, because you're scaring the living shit out of them, at least if they don't know what to expect, it might go by just a little bit easier for them, because they don't know what does that, just like their victims did not know what to expect, so why it was absolutely horrific for their victims, I'm glad that at least they didn't go to bed knowing that some Maniac is going to break in tonight, rape me, and my daughter, and kill us both, and buy them put in an all of these last-minute appeals, knowing for flipping a well, that nothing is going to become of it, and they do know this because we see this over and over and over and over again, they are only making it worse for their client, when he's there expecting to die at 6, and scared to death because his lawyer has told him already that he's going to suffocate to death, and feel every bit of it, and instead of him getting it over at 6, he has to look up at the clock and see that it is 7 o'clock the 9 all the way to midnight sometimes, and the in May of course is of losing their mind at this point, thinking is there some small chance, that they're going to get us stay that day, just end up being killed at midnight instead of at 6, like seriously, if these lawyers are going to play these games with these people, then they should be filing an appeal for uneffective council, against their selves, because they're idiotic as hell. Smh

Asa Hutchinson, as he portrays himself in this video, seems to be a smug, self-righteous politician. Who smiles joyfully when talking about the execution of another human being, criminal or otherwise? Even families who are victims of prisoners sentenced to death dont talk about such a topic joyfully. It's sick if you ask me.

Has anyone else seen the full episodes? I've always been on the fence about the death penalty, so I appreciate documentaries on the subject. Have watched seasons 2-3 (Hulu) a few times. Really enjoyed season 2 since it seemed they at least attempted to equally represent the victims' and convicts' sides, albeit some bias is evident from the filmmakers.
But it really started showing itself as anti-death penalty in season 3. It's almost entirely focused on the Arkansas mass execution/drug expiration rush. One victim's daughter made a comment that hit home, about how that story removed attention from the individual victims' stories, and how the only thing people seemed to care about was the mass execution story. I don't remember this story in the news at the time, but at least in this series, I think she was right. Don't get me wrong though, I think rushing to execute people simply because a state's drug supply will be expiring soon deserves MAJOR press and side-eye. Especially a drug that supposedly has questionable effectiveness.

Sure they had tubes and stuff, running thru my head/neck. Why can't they use that stuff. Great stuff, I tell ya.
