Why Tthe hell whould you want to save that piece pf shit
Sure I’ll pin your comment, have a nice day!
Funny shit. My answer to that is why not.
Your mom gets asked that every day
I think he forgot your a fabricator of metals and you could make that thing look brand new. Have a nice day 😊
Says the the guy who doesn't even know how to spell "of " lmao.
It's great that you work with your Dad. Miss my Dad all the time.
I love it.
KR E I’m in the same boat! My Dad had 20 times the knowledge that I have!
Lost mine 1.5 yrs ago
Sorry for all of y'all's lost 🙏
In the words of the late Kenny Rogers " You got to know when to hold em and know when to fold em". That truck is definitely a hold it, just for the sole purpose of where you came from and where your at now. 🍻
Yes sir!
It brought back memories to see you working together with your dad. I remember when I bought my 1970 Cuda and brought it home. The Cuda was pretty much a shell of a car. No engine, trans, rear end or front seats. My dad looked at it and said, " what in God's name are you going to do with that " I told him I was going to put it back on the road. Every time I went out back to work on it he was there trying to help. Miss him a lot.
Cherish the days you have with your pop.
I definitely do!
The stuff I did when I was 18, I'm glad I'm still here.😁. Any chance to spend time with family, never pass it up.
👊🏻👊🏻
Good to see you hanging with paw paw!! Life's short buddy. My mom said why don't you come see me more often, and I kept saying I will, I will, next thing I know ma had massive heart attack, and died, in 2006. Now I hate myself!! Spend every minute you can with your family!!! Much love from upstate ny bro!! Thanks again for sharing!!
Thanks for watching!
Rest In Peace.
It's awesome to see you and Pops (what I called my dad) hangin out together and having a great time. Take every advantage and chance you can to spend time with him. It's too late, before you know it. RIP Ginger's "Pops".. 3-26-11..
im so glad your keeping it. thats your early years man cant let it go
It will be cool.
Glad DeBoss garage recommended your channel. Brother you are a kick in the pants. 🙃
Glad you enjoy!
agree 100%
Your definitely blessed Puddin, to be able to have those cool moments with your dad, I hope he is in more of your videos.
Our schedules make it hard.
@@PuddinsFabShop I get it, but times that you get, Awesome
"It took skill to build this, not your daddy's money" Love it!
Well that’s just a good one though ain’t it !!
@@keeferstheakston4439 Sure is!!
Then you see my “skill” 😂
@@PuddinsFabShop 😂 Wasn't bad, I've seen more sketchy builds. Gotta start somewhere! lol
@@trickyricky12147 It really was Jimmy's money. He just didn't have none!
My high school days was a sweet coil chopped, rear blocked Mitsubishi mighty max. Thanks for taking me down memory lane.
You and your dad have a lot of fun. Fun watching you two.
Thanks for watching!
The part of this video I liked best was you and your Dad workin together. My Dad's been gone for years, so I was smiling watching you two together. Brought back good memories
I love working with him
@@PuddinsFabShop I can see why. You got a lot of him on film. Most of my old man is just memories.
I wish I could give this two thumbs up. Saving one of your first projects means you never regret selling it and spending time with your Father is priceless. I've give anything to be able to wrench with my Dad again. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for watching!
Your dad saying under his breath, “eh-dapter kit,” cracked me up.

Make a short tune if he pulled the stubby one piece at a time lol
One of my fondest memories of working with my dad was putting a new water pump in a 78 Chevy. We got it done with enough leeway to take it for a spin that sunny Sunday afternoon.
I lost my dad 25 years ago and miss him every day.
Seeing you with your dad brought back some good memories. Thanks so much for posting.
Thanks for watching and I’m glad you enjoyed!
Lookin at old projects is always fun. Looks like it was a blast to drive.
It was fun at the time.
E. . Daptor kit right ther..i heard that too. Hes brilliant too
I love your videos, Puddin'! It is so nice that you get to work with your dad. I miss mine but cherish the times we got to work on projects together. Keep up the good work!
Thank you! I don’t take it for granted!
This is awesome. I'm glad Raceton talked you into keeping it and bringing her back to life. I still haven't seen his truck in person since he's gotten it running. I remember when it was sitting in the driveway at his parents place. Time flies. Can't wait to see this project on the channel!
Yes sir! It’s crazy
Glad to see you're keeping it (potentially). And enjoy that time with your dad. I regret every day not spending enough time with mine.
I’ll keep it
Hell ya, I still have the MT mag of this truck! Stoked to hear you're bringing it back to life! Keep on truckin' ✌🏼
That’s awesome!
It's great to be current with your episodes! Nice to see you bringing your magazine truck back to life. Never disappointed in your content, thank you for another great video. 👍
This video motivated me to go save my Grandpa's truck.. It had been sitting for 9 years in about the same shape as your Datsun... Thanks for the motivation!
Hell I don't know if you're paying attention pudding but I'm watching your old videos starting off at the top so yeah thanks for your time and keep up the hard work, and I appreciate your services thank you very much.
You girls go. I would love to have my first truck back. A 62 ford econline pick up. That's how you learn. Keep them coming. Your channel is real. Great to see you and your dad work together. Life is to short.Enjoy
Thanks Lance!
My dad was a technical staff sergeant.in the USAF.. I miss him alot. Love these videos with your dad and you.. 👍 From Cadillac Michigan.. oh and cool truck👍
Thank you!
I bet it’d be a good day spent hangin out with y’all. You our dad is a good man and father I can see that for sure. Wish my Papa were around still to enjoy days like this. Cherish every moment my dude.
It's great to watch you walk down memory lane. I had a 20 year carrier that started from me having an interest in DJing. Everything we had for gear was pawn shop finds or homemade. No shame in that game. Everyone should be so blessed to have passion and the confidence to apply themselves to see where it takes them.
You are amazing, Love listening to you talk! You make my day!!! Love those International!
Thank you!
Nice to see your original old Datsun. 🙌🏻
👍🏻
That is a pretty cool story I'm glad I go back and watch your older videos.....JJ...
You look just like your Pops I see where you get your tight eyes from and your crafty sense of humor he seems like one hell of a Guy my God Bless you both 🙏🏾🙏🙏🏾
I love the Steam Whistle on the Allis. Your dad's got Class
I can’t wait til he watches this and sees where I edited the whistle in for him!
@@PuddinsFabShop hahahahaha
@@PuddinsFabShop You mean Jimmy Bar has the UA-cam?!?
I was waiting for you to do another stage dive off the tailgate again! Glad you're going to save your first project.
Not interested in one of them! Lol
Good choice. The fact that you still have it after all this time is reason enough...
Plus, it’s a cool little truck with history, I’m looking forward to seeing you put it back on the road.
Almost as a good choice of using the KANG as your picture!

👊🏻👊🏻
It’s the memories that matter. Making new ones with your dad those are priceless
Man I was so happy to see you deciding not to walk away from the little mini truck. Watching this brought me back to the 90's when we bagged averything with ball valves and whatever we could scab together.
It will be cheap and fun!
I love your work Brotha, but when your Dad's shows up you know it's gonna be Extry GuuuD!
Love it!
Thx Puddin👊🍻
Thanks man!
Good ol' father and son teamwork. 👊🤝
Yes sir!
I hope you restore that gem. Great to see son and Dad working together, your dad looks like a cross between Bruce Willis and Santa 😂
Keep your videos coming they keep me sane I think 👍🇮🇪
Glad you enjoy!
You have to keep it ! A master piece , the first , it has a story ! It has history ! Brilliant !

bro that would be awesome to keep her alive. Can't wait to see her come back to life also me and my homie had that mag and always loved it.
That’s crazy
That looked like an awesome day with your dad! Great video Puddin!👍😊
Thanks!
Back in the late 80’s early 90’s I was really into mini trucks. All because of my dad’s orange king cab Datsun. It was just my dad, lil brother and I . We travel all over in that thing.
I love it and looking forward to seeing it run again
That’s cool. I have no clue why I like them so much.
@@PuddinsFabShop upper body line feels like late 50’s early 60’s
Awesome you still have your truck from when you were 18 bring back some good memories an put smile on your face thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
That tractor sounds like my 620. One day I'll get it right when I have a bunch of time and money.
One day!
A cummins R2.8 would be neat project, high gearing high mpg
Never forget the inside tape!
Never forget.
Enjoy as much time with your dad as you can. I wish I didn't have regrets for not spending more with mine, but I do.
I do!
Man that Jacob Warner is a good guy for sending that battery.
So far you're nailin that UA-cam equilibrium algarithee-um translucent!
I’m trying!
It won't hurt you to hang on to this one for a little while anyway! BTW I think your Dad is really into this UA-cam thing now!😉😂
He is! He’s warmed up to the camera.
You are so lucky to have a dad that awesome. Miss mine.
👊🏻👊🏻
I wish these little trucks were still made today. Loved them.
Me too!
Pulling it with a Alice Chamber tractor. Love the International Harvester hat your wearing though.
Bringing em from down back to runnin down the track on Puddin’s Fab Shop!
Yes sir
Hey puddin, if you take stuff too seriously our channel might not be for you! But I have a feeling you'll love it!!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Glad you're keeping her! Those trucks are getting hard to find! I loved em when I was a kid 5,000 year ago! LOL
Me too!
Figured this was a fitting video to watch today. I remember doing stuff like this with my dad. The good ol days. 👍🏻
Father, son and a mini truck.. darn good times.
Yes sir!
Good for you I miss my 72 Buick from 77 every day can't be replaced lot of great memories .
👊🏻👊🏻
Bought a Datsun 1600SSS in 1971. Was had slightly better cam & 2 side draft carbs. With about 105 hp would bark the wheels with 5 skinny passengers in 4 gears. Loved it and got 37 mpg.
That’s awesome!!!!
Your channel and VGG have the best car content on UA-cam. The blue collar working man's car restoration. And we all get to laugh! Thanks for the inspiration.
Thank you sir!
The whole video my heart was wanting you to put it back to the way it was. Wish = granted!
Yes sir!
I just stumbled across your Channel … I’m plumb addicted. My girls roll my eyes every time they catch my watching. Love the channel, I’ll end up watching every damn one of em… hopefully I can still get stuff done and not binge watch them in a weekend!👍
Those 620’s have to be the best looking import trucks .. glad to see you bringing it back to life !!
glad to see you are keeping your 1st born at home for now... from past experience, it always sounds good on paper to get rid of your first that is just sitting in the field but 20 years later you always regret it.
I’m glad I’m keeping it.
This is where it all started, TWICE! Arm swinging fun! Cool day with Puddin' Pops! A wonderful day made wonderful for just simply being together!
I hope you get many more enjoyable days with Puddin' Pops!
13:03 Mini-Truck Man once again, well Box Truck Mini Truck man now! 😂
Mini Trucks are cool . I saw a mini Truck Datsun for sale for $1,000 . I passed by it everyday on my way to work . I passed it thinking , if I could see myself driving it daily like my S-10 Truck before ?
It sat there for a while , then one day it was gone.
Puddin , I really appreciate you saving all makes and models from going to the crusher or getting parted out for a few dollars .
I bought a 1947 Ford Truck off a trailer
one day from a man who was on his way to the crusher .
I bought the truck , someone else rebuilt
It . I gave that Truck away to
My friend for giving me a Truck .
Puddin , I love your videos ,
You’re a natural behind the camera !

That train whistle with your Pa, made my day lmao
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 my favorite part!
Thanks for the walk down memory lane, Puddin'. Yep - we all did crazy things back when we were young, dumb and full of c-c-c-c-confidence and believed we were bullet-proof, invincible and we "knew what we were doing" already. It's sad somethings have to change, but good too, you know? ...and we all get a bit embarrassed about some of the early examples of our customisations, but hey, as you said "everyone has to start somewhere!". Wish I could find just one of the cars I had when I was in my teens and bring her back to the road, but I would have to settle for another of the same make and model as I lost track of them all and they aren't on the road any more to track 'em down. Glad you got the chance to bring one of yours back, so I will just have to enjoy riding along with you when it happens. All the best.
Part of being young!
@@PuddinsFabShop - Yep. Sure is. You've got the chance to do one of your projects over again with the extra knowledge and experience now too!
30:14, lol golden! You can't fool us Puddin', those wipes are for when you have to take a shit out in the weeds! I have a lot of good memories riding the same spot on my great uncle's tractors. You're not crazy; that's awesome and we'll be looking forward to it.
I’ll shit anywhere
@@PuddinsFabShop me too, brother. I've been known to pull of the side of the road and sprint into the woods with a few Hardee's napkins in tow.
So fun when you take dad along!
Yes sir!
Puts a smile on my face to see that old Datsun. Looks like another fun project. You were pretty crafty at 18. In a magazine too. Thinking the last year for the Datsun was 1979 maybe 80? Classic
I don’t remember exactly
I am 18, and seeing what you did when you were 18 makes me want to get out in my garage more. You are an inspiration to me 🙂
That’s awesome! Jump in and go for it!
Happy to hear you're getting this baby back on the road and keeping it in the family !
Yes sir!!
I love the way you keep it real like having your Dad with you and helping you.
Love it when we get together!
Thank you for your service to this country
Your dad is great! See where you got your humor! Love it!
Mini trucking needs to make a huge comeback. They use to be everywhere and now, I haven’t seen one local in at least 15 years. It’s sad because it was fun to see. Glad you’re keeping it
This thing was a little local legend. Seemed like everyone loved it.
@@PuddinsFabShop we had a couple local
Legends. One was a sonic the hedge hodge theme with blue and white. Then one was solid neon orange and the last best one I remember was painted like an old school 1985 trapper keeper “rad” design. Ah, the good ole days in a small town.
I'm constantly amazed at how little rust all your mini trucks are showing. Hell, my 78 LUV was a rust bucket in 1986.
That’s crazy. The luv had rust under it bad.
My Dad told me once, he spent 7 days, sawing the 4x12 beams that held up overhead bins that went over the driveway in a corn crib. He had to sharpen his saw with a file, and had a hand setter, to keep it cutting. . He was young and likely his first job off the farm, working for the guy "building" corn cribs all around the county
Real work right there.
Pudding I don't know how I missed this video but I have watched the rest thanks for being yourself. Your right we all gotta start somewhere glad you went all out and saved her.
Awesome! Jeje- brother both our trucks came out at the same time. We do remember seeing that magazine - ours came out on Diesel World Mag center fold Sep- 2011. Thats God Allmighty at work there! Many blessings to you brother and thanks for hanging out with your dad- we like seeing him smiling when you guys get together and have some fun.
👊🏻👊🏻
The FAMOUS down and dirty Datsun finally getting some respect.
Seriously though, you and your dad are great together, videos with both you guys are a lot of fun.
Hopefully we get to meet Robert Glasgow soon too
Minitrucks might be out of style but they are getting rarer and rarer. I dunno if it's worth doing but hell, I'll watch it.
Hell ya!
Great job! Not often we get the chance to redo our first big project (1974 Ford Courier) I am proud for you and hopefully this inspires some kids to get into the hobby! Screw those million dollar builds, buy it, build it, drive it, your only young once! Have a great day and thanks for all the awesome content 😀
👍🏻👍🏻
As a southwest MO boy I can totally relate to everything you do. I'm pretty sure some of my friends had a buddy pretty similar to you. I love every video. Thanks for being real!
Thanks for watching!
thats a bad ass lil truck can't waite to see it go again
Thanks!
A client of mine had to high tail it back to the mainland, and he just gave me his D21 hardbody. I'm digging watching your vids and piecing this mini 4x4 together. Thanks for the content and the info, brother. I appreciate the Hell outta you, Puddin. 🤙🏾
Man im so glad your saving these old datsuns they are the best ! Loved seeing the old pics of it . It reminds me of my 77 datsun truck i also had at 18 and i still have it today at 47 mine has so many memories.
Man that’s awesome!
Still have my mini from 20 years ago, gonna get er back on the road again. Looking forward to seeing yours built.
Awesome!!
I am glad you came to your senses and decided to keep it by the end of the video. You were rockin' it at 18 son!
Yes sir!
Can’t wait to see you work on the Datsun Truck. Reminds me when my brother had a Datsun 510.

Doin' my part to make you a few cents! Get her done, Puddin'!
