As a Ryze one trick, I must say that the psychological trauma of playing a caster minion and getting his wr as low as possible has paid off for two weeks of unbridled happiness

Not 12 years he's definitely been strong before once or twice, but nowhere close to this
It's fascinating how some niche items end up being trash after a nerf (like serpent's fang). I think it points to a fundamental game design problem in itemization where the majority of items are stat sticks and if their stats are not good then you shouldn't buy them because typically their utility does not make the item suddenly worth buying. Although there are exceptions, many of the cases where you do rush the item is when the item is incredibly gold efficient.
This problem is exemplified in Mid Lane that has infamously shit items.

yes gathering storm is better, but the amount of fun you have and the amount of suffering you can inflict onto the enemy with scorch + aery is what gives me life in that game

Ryze is not broken is just finally good, the problem with that is that in pro play it will be op. Although some big counters are strong too with the new roa and archangels

In high elo people still pick mid champs like in pro play not the same champs as pro play but by Prio, scaling, and safety.

if riot nerfs his cooldowns and ult passive and buffs the damage a bit from his abilities then maybe he would be fine like any other mage but the fact that u can spam Q, W and E and build tank items like frozen heart and still having insane damage because of level 16 ult passive giving 100% extra damage to one of his abilities are the reasons why riot shitted on this champion and can never be given any window of buffs because he just becomes completly overtuned

@@officialrimika2818 Coming from 40 something, it is, more if it is Ryze, that champ in good hands is broken, it's just the low elos lowering the wr, in high elo KR it have 56% rn, that's absurd.

Played since alpha, ryze has been absolutely broken or garbage since release, it just doesn't work, similarly to how Cassio becomes bonkers if she is given even a bit range.
Midbeast, I play on Korean server. As someone who also experienced the toxicity and tilt that these players put you through on a daily basis, what is my best course of action to get past them? Even at plat there are massive boosters and people griefing on a game by game basis.

He’s definitely not being played by casuals. I haven’t lost 1 game against him and even with these stats I can barely keep 55% winrate in diamond. People just never play for you cus they see Ryze and leave you hanging. Especially hurts when you roam and don’t get the resources (kills, waves, etc.) obviously this isn’t challenger but idk about casuals playing Ryze
ryze cant be playable for one patch but champions like camille and aatrox can be s+ op meta defining picks for years and years
IKR, also those complaining about being "too good in pro play" where people can co-ordinate ways to nullify the pick. The same people were probably having a blast watching azir vs corki every fucking game in professional games. if solo queue had voice comms this champion would be overpowered and need a rework. voice comms could ultimately save this game and i expect them in league 2, one of its differentiating qualities in addition probably to a 3d game. [why else would you bury paragon?] it's nuts to me that i can press t and effectively communicate with an listen to the cavemen in a fortnite or pubg lobby, but i can't talk to my teammates in one of the most complex 5v5 games of all time. genuinely nuts. but i get why they do it . league caters to a fairly strong representation of shutins would probably cower a little bit in a voice chat. people would play less, but there would be less toxicity and better gameplay. plenty of mechanics would become absolutely broken. duo lanes would need a nerf from the sheer ability to value max due to the seamless comms and synergy. that's a crazy concept to consider.

Idk about the complexity of league tbh, i might be biased but i always found dota harder with the whole wave managing it had(has? Idk).
You can pretty comfortably start league and be a gold player in like 1 season if you have someone tell you some basic macro.
I coached a bunch of people into gold,plat in the past and all i really did was tell them learn to cs and find 3 champions you like..one friend started gold 5 and he ended up challenger two years later after i duo'd with him for a while he used to have the ign Arcaadian( i think he copied it from a then pro idk lmao).
