My preloader just drops all the packages on the tail of my truck so I have to sort them after the PCM. Then a solid 20-30 stops didn’t get taken off the belt so they went all the way to the end and we all have to sort through them and then bring them to our trucks and load them. Then we waste an hour loading and sorting and we’re late on the road. Good times

I’ve had fixtures on my lighting rig that weigh more than me, my FOH lighting board road case weighs more than the board- albeit it is an Anvil! My sound consoles and racks weigh in upwards of 500lbs which we use me and 2 guys to set up onto the casters after it’s landed in the case. You really have no clue what you are talking about. You don't want a job at UPS. It's decent money but they find a way to pay you for less than what you worked. It's also reminiscent of sweat shop labor, package handlers get next to no breaks, and you're moving constantly for 5 hours, 400+ packages an hour. It's not worth what it pays.
hear in ventura county UPs is starting at 10 hr but after your get your benefits you are really making more money than what is showing up on your paycheck. Im only a driver helper right now but I am prepared and willing to work here for many years.

As an exceptions clerk for 8 years I've realized how stupid some customers are. I've had people yell at me because their package didn't arrive early but just on time. I've also noticed that more than 90% of the time that packages are late, it's due to the consignee or shipper entering an incorrect address or forgetting an apartment # or having a rottweiler running loose in front of the house. Most customers are entitled pricks. (With that said some people have been very polite and understanding and they are most appreciated).

UPS is the worst carrier in America!! A shipment was sent to me on a Monday, tracking stated a Friday delivery!! Got an email on Thursday that it would be delivered the next day and needed signature, so I took off a day from work and then got another email at 2:30 that delivery had been changed to Monday!!! Really!! I can mail a letter faster than you jokers!! NEVER SEND ANYTHING ups!!!
