🍖The Indoor Smoker will be shipping out to our backers this month!
It's been a long journey and we are so thankful for everyone that backed. We could never have done this without you. So thank you, and get ready to start smoking indoors because our backer units are about to start landing on doorsteps.
🍖In the meantime, the 1B team has been looking into possible future accessories for the smoker. Rib dividers, Beer can chicken holders, and the very popular drip tray liners, are all ideas that we need your input on.
🍖Like what you see? have an idea? Be sure to share it with us because the only way we'll know that you want them is if you tell us!

I was backer #25 and got my tracking number this morning! Oh, and I've got ribs, brisket and pork shoulder in the freezer just waiting.
Just a suggestion............. In the unpacking instructions, it should be mentioned that the top half of the control panel has an incredibly realistic protective film hiding the real panel. Peel that off. Took me an hour of fooling around before I noticed it was to be peeled off.
😃
Good comment! I was suspect of the same thing, but didn’t want to damage the display. I eventually bit the bullet and it came off.
Sorry about that. The sticker has been changed for all future units so hopefully it doesn't affect as many people. The graphic design team did too good of a job haha. Things we were never have thought of
Still waiting on my porch for mine, hurry, getting colder at night
What number are you??
Great update👍 the rib rack dividers look like a great accessory.
Rib rack divider and the beer can chicken both look like great accessories. Making full use of the smoking area of the unit is a must given the small space available.
At this moment, I have a 5lb brisket, a 3lb tri tip, a 3 bone slab of Dino Ribs, a 5 and 7lb Picanha Wagyu a pack of country ribs, three 16 oz rib eyes, 3lbs of sausage in my freezer and Fed Ex is dropping off more today. HURRY UPPPPPPP lol
Be right over!
A rotisserie with both a spit and basket option.
A flat pan / grate option (perferated bottom) with sides for vegetables that would normally fall between the wire grate.
Cold smoke would be great but I know it was discussed before
I thought of it after, a vertical rotisserie
@ firstbuild I have been using it a few times this week. Some salmon, pork belly burnt ends and a pork shoulder. I found using the standard sized aluminum pan (half pan) won't fit inside. Not sure if it might be something to consider as an accessory. Also, i never thought of it at the time, i had a smaller aluminum pan on a rack which was in-line directly with the smoke generator. I noticed after my pellets seemed to have been swollen and breaking apart as if they were damp. They are pellets ive had for a while and will be checked them but due to the number falling part inside the hopper vs in the bag, my first impression is moisture from the lower racks hit the bottom of the pan and redirected into the smoke generator and up and out through the hopper causing the pellets to swell. Has this been something you experienced during testing?
Gonna be a very Smoky Holiday Season! Woohoo!
I never clicked on a video faster...
So excited. What about making an Arden Xtra Large, one that will fit a good sized Turkey.
Great news as always! I'm hoping soon means in a week or two! That rib rack idea is excellent! I can't wait!
Smoked ribs today! O-M-G! The house smelled like a BBQ restaurant all day and no smoke. Unreal.
My smoker arrived and it is beautiful! So proud of your Arden Team for doing such a great development job! My unit is now all setup and awaiting my first smoking session. The accessories of most interest to me are the drip pan liners (which I wish I had now!), a rib rack and a basket for fish and smaller items such as vegetables.
One question…I originally ordered a variety of the Mad Scientist meat rubs which I understood were to be shipped at the same time as my Arden. Do you have an update on that delivery window?
Thank you for the kind words. Concerning the rubs, we are expecting to know a shipping time frame soon. We will let you know from there.
I'm the person that send several comments on several videos about the smoker going to 350 degrees.
You said you would have to do further testing. I understand you may not have the time right now.
But please keep it on your "futures list" and not get lost in the shuffle.
I promise we haven't forgotten.
@@Firstbuild Thank you. You guys are great !
Richard
All the accessories look fantastic--can't wait to try them. I second the idea of a custom grate / perforated pan for veggies, seafood, delicate stuff that would normally fall through the racks would be great!
love the update video. I'm going to just wrap my drip pan in foil myself xD
all accessories look great and cant wait for those to go on sale. and anyone bring up like a cover for it for ones that might need to keep out like in garage till they use it.
How about a silicone mold drip tray? In the long run it's not only more economical but better for the environment. Foil is a 1 time use product. Why not have both options for consumers?
Well I'm pretty excited now! mine is about 24 hours from delivery! Side ribs and chicken wings await!
Some sort of innovative way to load up a bunch of wings and leave them all exposed to the smoke. Thinking like your beer can chicken one but with lots of dishwasher type spikes you could set the wings in vertical to make sure smoke goes all around them. Order a couple and put in a ton of wings on each rack.
Excellent news. Rib Rack Dividers, Beer Can Chicken and pan liners would all be something I'd get. Can't wait to see the shipping email as frigid temperatures will soon be here.....
rotisserie would be cool
We love to hear it. We have dabbled in rotisserie projects before. We'll look into it.
I’m backer 1028. Hoping to have mine the week before Thanksgiving. So so excited
You need some kind of beef jerky trays or skewers or something for beef jerky
we were just talking about this today...Great minds
Thanks for the update!! The rib rack sounds great. Just a question, can a chicken be spatchcocked and fit in the smoker?
I love the beer can chicken rack and that it has enough volume to stand it up. Please don’t send it to my neighbors. I’ll never get it back.
Rib dividers pls!!!
we already have some out with a group of beta testers. Waiting for some good feedback and then hopefully we can get the final version(s) out the door quickly.
Chute to gravity feed more pellets as needed.
Will backers get a special discount code for the accessories?
something for rotisserie
Please tell me you are making the cooking accessories out of stainless steel or something dishwasher safe.
I would like to see a stainless steel mesh shelf for small items like shrimp.
I will definitely be looking to purchase what you've done so far !
Thanks, Richard
Yes. All stainless, except for the aluminum foil tray liners of course
@@Firstbuild perfect ! Thank you !
As far as the drip tray liners is concerned, have you all considered a silicone molded drip tray liner as an option to the single use waste contribution of a foil type liner? Silicone is heat resistant to 450 to 500 degrees and nothing.... litteraly NOTHING sticks to it. It'd be a win win situation!
While I'm really looking forward to getting mine, just want to say I'd rather get a drip pan mold so I could make my own as needed.
The drip pan mold is the drip pan. Turn it upside down and press tin foil around it.
Where did Josh get that way, Cool hat? Are they are available somewhere?
Interested in rib rack as it comes along same with chicken tray but definitely would not buy the tray sell the STL file so I can print mold at home to pretty please
The beer can chicken looked good. No doubt. As an ex bbq restaurant owner I didn't notice any smoke ring? The meat also kooked to firm to classify as bbq. Anymore videos available with finished products? Thanks. I'm on the fence but really am hoping I buy one of these soon. Thanks
Smoke rings are formed when high levels of nitric oxide from wood smoke, react with the myoglobin in the meat. It takes a large amount of smoke/nitric oxide to create a visible "smoke ring" on the meat. While this is possible in the Indoor Smoker, it usually doesn't show up because of how few wood pellets we need in order to fill the entire chamber up with smoke. Also we don't use burning pellets to provide the cooking heat like a traditional smoker does. Basically, the Indoor Smoker is very efficient with its smoke and it's a closed system. So there usually just isn't enough nitric oxide created in order to form a very visible ring. We could and have achieved smoke rings by turning up the smoke production beyond its normal limit but that almost always resulted in terrible flavor and meat that tasted like ash.
Hope that makes sense.
F**k Yes. What's the situation for hanging sausages? Got something in the works for that?, or already thought of that one?
Also, I'd happily pre-order the rib rack situation (or if you just want to send me one to beta test it like a mad man...). Looks like it would have a lot of additional uses beyond just ribs.
We've hung sausages before but on string, which....wasn't great but I know it's on the list. We've just got a ton of ideas to try out and work through. Just need more arms attached to each engineer.
A Mesh Basket / cage of sorts maximized to fit the space to hold smaller things like nuts or chopped veggies would also be nice. It would be cool if you could fit 2 in there on the shelves. @@Firstbuild
Are they shipping in order by backer number?
Yes they are
Cool, I just picked up a Trompo King 8'' Tailgater on sale for tacos al pastor
I need a unit made for Swedens 230V outlets in my life!
Are these coming to the uk? I want one. Considering getting one shipped over.
Is there a cold smoking feature? I remember you talking about it a while back, but don't remember the outcome.
No, not specifically. It was too difficult to get a "full proof" method of cold smoking in the current model. But we did have some success using trays of ice, adjusting, and monitoring, etc. But there is no official cold smoke setting.
The Active Smoke Filtration system must remain hot to ensure the smoker can operate safely within your home. This means that the smoke chamber will remain hot whenever smoke is being produced.
Bummer. I cold smoke bacon in my weber smokey mountain using an A-maze-n cold smoking maze thing. Works great, but would be nice to do it indoors in the winter here in Maine.
Settings to be able to “cold smoke” like for lox and other like items

Will you take my Suvie kitchen robot in trade?!😂
Is there a user manual that can be downloaded now? I’d like to come up to speed before it arrives.
Yes, I posted a link before, but it was taken down.
@@stevejensen6210 That’s strange. Could you tell me the host website where i can find it? Thanks.
And my reply was deleted again. Sorry bro, I tried.
@@stevejensen6210 thanks anyway. I was able to find a product page for the smoker on GE appliance website. No manual but it's something.
Google this for the manual at Lowes: GE Profile 100-Sq in Black Smart Electric Smoker Item #5615496 Model #P9SBAAS6VBB
How many units at a time are shipping out ?
Do you have to wait for this to come to market now?
Can someone explain what the point is in creating a shipping label and a week later it still hasn't shipped?
Shipping labels are often created in large batches with the shipper.
Actual shipment logistics can be limited by what the shipper can pick up per day.
For example, the warehouse and FedEx may only be shipping out 50 or 100 units daily.
Very common occurrence.
Yes, I've seen this with my own single personal packages. Plus, the same delivery Fedex trucks do not pick up small packages. I've never seen this with commercial/retail/crowdfunding items I've ordered. The worst thing I've seen is it might take longer because of the transportation method, but at least the item is moving.@@flynace
Lite Beer????
@firstbuild Is it too late to back/buy this product? I've look everywhere and can't find were to get this.
It is too late to be a backer. But some good news is, the Smoker will be hitting the larger market sometime in the near future.
@@Firstbuild Is there any chance you guys can make an exception? I wanted to get this as a Christmas present for someone.
Will these newly mentioned accessories (beer can chicken stand and rib spacers) be included with our purchase or will we be required to spend more $ to unlock the true potential of our smoker?
If you are a backer, then your unit is probably being prepped for shipment and these are just prototypes that are only in the early testing phase.
Fair enough. May I suggest free or discounted accessories for early backers once they go into production.
@@aaronwenger2731We already got the Arden at a discount and a free bonus bag of pellets. Not sure why they would send extra accessories for free too. Personally I think they should be rewarded financially for all the hard work and innovation. I'll happily pay for that rib divider rack if it's priced even remotely well. Hell... I'd pre-order one right now if I could.
How does it vent?
It vents warm air out of the bottom front end of the unit. The smoke does not need to be vented outside of the house.
How can I order one?
Currently, you can't. The crowdfund is closed. But a little bird has said that the smokers should be hitting the larger market around the new year. Keep your eyes peeled
Could you not fit full racks hanging from meat hooks ?
Possibly. We haven't tried it yet. I'll tell Jared
yeh i think you have the meat hooks already for sausage no ? but yeh would think you could get more in there hanging@@Firstbuild
