It’s too bad Dr. Julia Hoffman isn’t there to give Quentin a Zoloft, a Remeron or a couple of Clonazepam to help him chill-out. At least, with this depression, Quentin is a heck of a lot less likely to verbally abuse Maggie.
It is dangerous to play with magic, if you don't know what you're doing! The same goes for Tarot cards! Quentin should be careful! Alexis and Hannah should be careful, too! The blood dripping down the portrait of Maggie looked creepy! Dark Shadows is very creepy at times, and full of excitement, too. I was very relieved that Alexis/Angelique stopped Quentin from hanging himself! ~Janet in Canada
I don’t recall if it was night or day when the hanging sequence occurred, but if it was night, why didn’t Barnabas come to the rescue if his vampiric senses could tell him that Quentin was about to hang himself, unlike Angelique sensed with her aunt’s tarot cards? Just curious 8:29 & 10:30 are my favorite dramatic themes Robert Cobert composed for Dark Shadows 8:27 the same scream from when Quentin successfully transferred his mind back into his own body from Count Petofi’s in 1897 is heard again in 1970 Parallel Time
Quentin seems to be bewildered & almost hangs himself. But Angelique stopped him just in time. Quentin is so reluctant & refuses to get a hold of Maggie to return back to Collingwood. Cyrus decided not to be John Yaeger again. So he convinces both Quentin & Larry Chase by "sending" him (Yaeger) away. I'll see what happens.
In truth, it would be terrifying to have someone put spells on you lol! All these poor mortals at the mercy of people with super and supernatural powers.
As a tarot reader and teacher, thanks to Dark Shadows getting me interested as a teen,I always smile at some of the interpretations of the cards The Hanged Man doesn't mean someone will die by hanging but one is in a state of suspension, unsure of the next move Much less dramatic than what's happening here. 👳♀️🔮
I love the look on Hoffman's face as if she is not sure which sister she is addressing.
WHAT A MYSTERIOUS CHILLING SUPERNATURAL SOAP OPERA!!!

It seems like every little difficult means a sedative from the wonderful Dr. Hoffman.

Julia Hoffman’s theme song could have been “Go Ask Alice” by Jefferson Airplane.

The themes are always so important to support the action of the scenes.
The music is great!
I also love the music that precedes 10:30 (starts around 9:15 ). You know something big is going to happen.
