Red Dead Redemption 2 (PS5) 4K HDR Gameplay. Red Dead Redemption 2 is an Action-Adventure video game developed and published by Rockstar Games. It is the third title in the Red Dead series and a prequel to Red Dead Redemption, having been released in October 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and in November 2019 for Microsoft Windows and Google Stadia. The story is set in 1899 in a fictionalized representation of the West, Midwest and South of the United States and follows outlaw Arthur Morgan, who must deal with the decline of the Wild West and survive the persecution of government forces, rival gangs and other opponents. Gameplay is presented in both a first- and third-person perspective, with the player being free to explore and interact with the open world. Gameplay elements include gunfights, assaults, hunting, horseback riding, interacting with non-player characters, and managing the protagonist's honor through moral choices and deeds. A bounty system similar to that present in the Grand Theft Auto series governs police and bounty hunter responses to crimes committed by the player. A multiplayer mode called Red Dead Online debuted in November 2018.
