Beautiful collection!! My favorite line & era. Sometimes I'll dig one out just to admire the shell. And now I'm commenting about it at 3am. Whatever, I'm fine with staying single ;)
Those are plastic hubs, not ceramic. The ceramic tape guides are where you think they would be, down in the bottom of the shell ... 'guiding the tape' The Metal-ES didn't have ceramic tape guides which is why it doesn't state having them on the wrapper. Ceramic 'composite' was introduced into the Sony metal line with the Metal Master - where the entire shell was... well... ceramic composite. You're welcome.
i found that these sony tapes sound amazing in any tape deck. from a simple deck with dolby B mechanical transport to a feather touch multi noise reduction calibration deck
I remeber when i was bying them back then :-) ........ SONY - BASF - MAXELL - TDK my favorite cassette brands Cassettes of 80s are the best , you want design ,, construction quality - beautifull packeging e.t.c :-)
Cassette pazzesche, quella e stata una gran generazione, tutti modelli buonissimi.da quel modello della HF io ho avuto prestazioni decisamente di alto livello, con il mio teac w990rx e codifica dbx,da urlo

I think you're missing an HF-ES cassette. I recall them being the higher end Type I ...
I am! Good catch. Yes, the HF-ES has been elusive to get so far. Hoping I can find one or two soon and not pay through the nose for it!
Very cool tapes !
Кассеты супер! Я тоже собираю sony , но 1988 год
Very nice collection, did you ever get thee HF-ES ?
I did! Need to do another Sony collection video I guess!
You should do a video on the rare sinys
The UX-ES and UX-Pro have the same tape inside.
I think it’s high fidelity.
Yes it is
You need the HF-ES Metal S
