Hi Bill when it comes to 2 wheel vehicles I’m not into the big fast ones, I like the small engine ones. There is actually quite a lot that can be done to this little 50cc engines, tuned up some people achieve over 50mph and that’s definitely fast enough on one of these 😂 thanks for watching 🙂👍
@@menditman2004 I agree 100%. You can't compare that to a motorcycle, it's a different animal. When we go to the Florida Keys we rent them and have a great time buzzing around
Hi Gary yes it does sound good, I may put a new clutch in it and clean it up but that probably will be about it with the engine. I think sometimes I’m a bit to hasty ripping them down when they don’t really need to be, as you know it’s takes a lot of time and money. I’d like this one done fairly quick with minimal expense . Thanks for watching 🙂👍
Hi for its age it sounds good, I’ve done tanks on these before and used acid which did work well, I still have that but I’ll decide when I have the frame stripped. I’ve never tried evapo rust but I have heard a lot of people rate it. Thanks for watching 🙂👍

I noticed that most of the nuts, bolts, and screws are buggered up. Always use the proper size wrench or screwdriver. I would never use an impact driver on a carburetor. The metal is just too soft. I always grind off stuff like that with a dremel before putting things back together, or replace the fastener if it's too bad. I've had a LOT of trouble with the float bowl gasket/O rings leaking on those Bing carbs. The new ones don't seem to fit properly. When the engine is running, it splashes fuel around in the float bowl, and it drips down from around the gasket. Type F transmission fluid is recommended for Puch engines. There should be an O ring inside the part of the carb that slides over the manifold. Without it there will be a vacuum leak. I wouldn't sit on it with it on the centerstand. The stand was designed to support the moped, not a person. Sitting on it with it on the stand can bend the stand, and even crack the engine cases. Remember on this type of moped, the fuel tank is also the frame. If it is badly rusted, it can make the frame structurally unsafe. I found pinhole leaks in one tank after cleaning the rust out of it. They can be sealed, but I decided to scrap the frame. I weigh 240, and the frame could literally break in half while riding.
Hi I can’t remember the 70s as I was to young but growing up in the 80s was great, I don’t like it how things are now things seemed much simpler back then. But unfortunately we can’t go back, but i have tried to surround myself with nostalgia items like this moped it keeps me in the past abit. Thanks for watching 🙂👍
It starts and sounds nice. That looks like a ton of fun to fun around the city in.
