@RieBec-K I can picture a future DPS, that generated his shields to have basically infinite poise (even if the shield is not that strong) . They could have a mechanic of everytime the shield breaks it explodes around them, and like Thoma they can refresh the shield. Sounds strong and practical in my point of view
for just requiring a shield, this weapon is crazy solid for f2p. Its passive is like the blacksword with a bit of CR which already has a lot of potential and value. There’s many shielders besides zhongli who are also good so i think it’s worth using it. Here’s some teams i think would work nicely with this weapon (the first character using the sword): - Clorinde, Fischl, Chevreuse, Thoma. - Clorinde, Fischl, Zhongli, Nahida. - Ayato, Furina, Layla, Jean. - Ayaka, Furina, Layla, Jean - Ayaka, Shenhe, Diona, Mona. For Keqing i still think her best f2p is still Lion’s Roar especially at R5 since her main source of damage is more her skill slash and her burst spam rather than her normal attacks and since her charge attacks use quite a bit of stamina. But again, its usable if there’s no other options! Big talk but hope it helps.
@@moltrescompanyCitlali as a shielder could work but its not the best, if you have kirara or even noelle they’re better suited in an aggravate team. But you can try Clorinde - Raiden - Citlali and any hydro applicator for taser-freeze team since it got a buff in this patch :)
I think overload Clorinde with Thoma will be a great pairing with this weapon, tho ofc this weapon seems to be made to compliment Citlali, so maybe it’s supposed to be an Ayato weapon based on Citlali’s current kit?

bro this is like the first event weapon i leveled up during the event time with the 1.5times exp. It looks so good on clorinde too asthetically. Baizhu also gives a lot f shields. breaks easily but it keeps refreshing so gurantee good uptime during clorinde's short field time
Literally same, I love Ayato (because I don't really have any other character who can use this weapon), but I never got his signature, and now I have a pretty great 4 star weapon for him that can easily be r5 and I got it to lvl 80 in a day. My motivation to build Ayato had increased especially with Mavuika on the way 😍😍
Loving it on Keq in aggrevate with Kirara/Baizhu and I do play Ayayo in dendro teams nowadays so at least he can be doing lil bit more personal dmg while driving hyperbloom for example
I think for Clorinde this is a straight upgrade over even an R5 BP sword. Most Clorinde teams like having a shielder, and you lose only maybe 11% crit in total (which is fine, since Clorinde gets so much crit rate as is). You gain 55 base attack, and like half an attack goblet on top of that. It's pretty sweet.
This looks to be a pretty solid option for Keqing. An R5 Lions Roar looks to still be the ultimate 4 star option for aggravate but it's on par with or better than R5 Iron sting, so you can save yourself som billets if you stilll don't have a LR or better for your Keqing. Also it gets extra points for drip, the color matches her perfectly.
My current strongest team is Clorinde, Furina, Nahida, and Baizhu so this might be a very solid weapon for my Clorinde. Though would it be better than al’s signature which I currently have on her? Also it just looks way better on her, fashion is a huge thing for me so idk
Idk...it seems meh? Like i am not using anything that do not have crit rate/dmg substat, it just messes up the stats overall, and from what it looks the calamity of isshu isnt gonna be good with support characters aswell...
This weapon is really interesting, you don't need to equip on your DPS, it affects all characters, so really good on Layla, as she provides the shield, i was testing with chasca and i got a little more damage, i imagine at R5 this weapon will be really good for normal attack comps. Also.... Another Neuvillette buff 😂
I have an f2p chlorinde, I wanna test her current build with HoD vs this new weapon. But it might go to Ayato still not sure yet. I really wish it didn’t hv that needless shield limit, bec my Alhaitham has black sword. So this would’ve been perfect for my Ayato who has to share with Alhaitham.

Both at R5 i’d say yes its better, +40% normal attack damage and 16%CR with high base attack and atk% substat is more valuable than pure atk% stack from Finale of the Deep. With Kirara, Baizhu, and C6 Lanyan Calamity of Eshu is better!
@@topherrobeson4446 You can use Kirara or Baizhu if you have with 4pc deepwood instead of Nahida, Or use Lanyan on 4pc viridecent if your kazuha doesn’t have his signature. (But given how Lanyan is rn, it’s better if you go with Kirara/Baizhu as shielders!)
you can use it if you have a decent set but its highly not recommended to farm that set since it isn’t that good. Using this weapon with a good shielder is enough
Yes but you basically missing a lot of good artifact sets(even though i have a good bolide) Though if you plan to use a shielder always for squishy characters(like catalyst or bow onfield) it should be a better option for comfort
i’d say at lvl90 R5 the event weapon gets ahead for sure, that is *if* you have a consistent shielder like zhongli or even a well built thoma or kirara. If you’re not playing Clorinde with a shield most of the time then fontaine craftable is better.
@@Lolamy she can move around quite fast to easily avoid most of those attack that knock you around, if that's still an issue then her c1 and 4 give interruptions resident The main benefit of her is to able to the strongest quicken team thank to her self sustain, if you not take advantage of that then she's not really much of an upgrade from Keqing :v

I am quite confused about the weapon's wording. I doesn't say "equipping character" or something like that, it just says "while characterS (plural)" Is it possible that the weapon can be given to a support and the buff still counts on the active character attacks?
will be good on Tighnari but in the same time Xilonen do not buff dendro but still i think with an electro a second dendro and xilonen to make a shield his attack will be crazy charged from a bow like Liney and Charged while covered in shield + crit rate boosted while using charge attack must still give him a good boost in attack damage.
