- Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau admitted "it's a tough way to lose a ballgame", after New York allowed the 76ers to overcome a six-point deficit with under a minute to go in regulation and force overtime in Game 5. Philadelphia prevailed in OT 112-106, extending the series to a sixth game on Thursday night.

I am genuinely shattered and devastated from what happened tonight.
Okay Mitch's foul happened, Maxey got the shot and one, we're still up by 2, Hart makes one out of the two, still up by 3, they're in bonus with no timeouts, just foul someone before they take a shot, they can't shoot more than two, get the ball back and pass it to someone again, there would be like no chance at all for them to make a 3 with no timeout and like 4-5 seconds left on the clock.
I just hope this game didn't cost us the series, otherwise i'll never forget about this nightmare.

I was wondering the same thing, but it was pretty early in the shot clock and the guy pulled up from half court basically, if they fouled him right away, then the Knicks would of had to go to the line at least 2 more times and hit the shots,and send the sixers to the line 1 more time. If he misses the shot game pretty much over.

PA Needs to play, period. He’s proven to be an impact player. A Big that can defend and knock down midrange shots is invaluable at this point. Even if he doesn’t shot well, he impacts the game in other areas. A seven man rotation is simply not going to cut it.

Brunson was doing too much at the end. Wish he passed some of those but he needed some help. Thought Mcbride should get it again. Also wish knicks had a good start to the game. They keep starting slow. And I'm so confused why precious achuiwa didn't play. Crucial missed free throws and terrible defensive mistakes at the end.

Mitchell Robinson should never be closing a game. Mitch has had a bad habit of committing dumb fouls his entire career. He’s been injured a lot so he doesn’t do it as often but that was the worst possible situation for it to happen. Should have went back to the lineup that closed Game 4 with Precious . Precious is way more mobile & can defend the perimeter way better than Mitch. In a situation where they need 3s Mitch should not be in the game 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️

Several things led to the Knicks meltdown tonight.
Knicks took game 2 in a similar fashion, I guess this was a way for things to be evened up in some crazy cosmic level.
