After watching the movie for the first time, I was left begging for someone explain the lake house movie to me. This video also includes the lake house movie synopsis and the lake house movie plot summary. It doesn't talk about what book the lake house movie based on but it includes all sorts of other cool information! The lake house film ending left all of us a bit confused and asking questions like: do they meet at the end of the lake house? Does the lake house make sense? What is the meaning of lake house? What happened to the house from the Lake House movie? Why is the lake house movie so confusing? What happened to the dog in the lake house? and many more! This video focuses on the 2006 film, not the lake house movie 2020 or the lake house movie 2021. Skip the lake house ending explained reddit and check this video out instead if you want the ending of to the lake explained! This is a must-watch if you've seen the lake house and just don't get what happened. Trust me, you're not alone. This rom com is so confusing, but it's also one the best rom coms 2000s gave us, and for sure one of the best rom coms 2006 produced. Prepare for a good cry though because Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reaves' characters totally crush it.

One of my all-time favorite movies I grew up in Riverside and I watch them film those days when they were at the train station where he was running with the book. The house where they stood on the porch where the party was it's just down the street from the train station swinging bridge that goes over the river that Alex was running on looking for his dog. The lake where the house was built in is in Maple Lake in willow springs Illinois. All very beautiful places. If you love sandra bullock movies you can see the house they used in the movie "While you were sleeping" about 8 miles from there in the town of LaGrange illinois off of 8th and Elm street.

guys.. the lake house and mailbox are just a plot device to help tell the story - a spin on Austen's Persuasion. Kate's scenes are real-time. Alex's scenes are flashbacks - except when they are in the scene together. Those are Kate's history, and Alex's present.

I love this movie. It's a remake of II Mare, a Korean movie. The Lake House has a lot of changes. I recommend both movies

Yes! I also loved Uhm Jung-hwa as Min Joon in the Korean movie from 2006, Seducing Mr. Perfect. It was such a cute film! Of course, Daniel Henney as "Mr. Perfect" was pretty easy on the eyes! But the Min Joon character was so funny! Their "meet cute" is hilarious! If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. I was watching a lot of Korean TV and films while I was in Hawaii and I fell in love with this movie! As a big fan of Lake House, I'll have to check out Il Mare, too. Thanks for the reference!

i love this movie, but her changing the past means she changed the future. she wouldn't be at the lake house anymore if he were alive the whole time. but, whatever, is entertaining!

Like many others I Loved this movie . There was parts to pick at like they lived 2 yrs apart and it all seemed natural ?The final kisses was right there! They had real Love for each other, oh my gosh who couldn't see that ? its like Sandra went in for 2nd kiss not scriped , and turned to him with a smile that probably everyone could understand. And interviews when asked if they dated her expression, eyes ,mouth and overall a smile that just says NO we never dated was just admitted they skipped that step. Working together so much with an amicable connection where would dating come in! I think if Sandra had no children it could have ended differently! Alaxandra must love him very much to know his involvement with Sandra and let his heart decide. All of them really great people. Id Love to take Alexander shopping , she needs a work over on her style, and hair.

I loved this movie. I tried to get my husband to watch it with me but he thought it was confusing and didn’t want to keep watching. I admit it is confusing but I think it’s worth it. The only objection I have is the gratuitous planting of the Saviors name in it as a swear word. I read somewhere that Sandra Bullock always wants to include that in her movies. I wonder why except that perhaps she is anti-Christ and that is her purpose. I really don’t know if that story is true. I hope not. MsS

It's about timing, not time, and where we are and who we are in time, and how we move thru time to become the people we are when we find the "right one." It's Not about who did what when and this other thing happened and then the timelines cross and whatever all were the series of scenes in the film. There are no idle conversations here, each one tells you about what that character needs or wants, what he or she could have in the moment, and what they keep space for, for later. Parallel to the conversations between Alex and Kate are the conversations they have with others, pay special attention to the conversations between Kate and her mother, and between Alex and his brother.
The house itself is not a character, it's the meeting place between the water and the land, the mutable and the fixed, in Alex and Kate and the conversation between them (facilitated by the mailbox.) The overwhelming glass windows speak to the openness and vulnerability between them, yet it is an utterly private place for the two of them, there are no visitors and no other house or vehicle is seen from there. Contrast that with the way Alex' father used the house, not as a reserved place for private relationships with his family, but as a trophy case to house a growing family, to contain and control them. It's not about architecture, but how we build our lives with each other.
Ultimately, they both have to wait - to be the right people for each other, in the right time, and in the right place, before they can come together, knowing each other, face to face. There are some critical differences besides time in the two days at Daley Plaza, but I'll let you figure that out. I hope you find some of this helpful.

I think the version of kate at the end of the movie is the version we saw on the train . So the version of kate in the beginning of the movie finished lonely because Alex died in her timeline but she saved alex in the past for the kate past, the one from the train.
