I run a macro with a 600 lumen olight pl mini Valkyrie, flush fit, with a holosun 407k. 18 rounds in a smaller pistol. I like glock, but it’s really all about reliability, shoot-ability, capacity, and conceal-ability. You can run a better red dot on the 19, and many folks with larger hands will benefit from the 19’s larger size. The aftermarket for the macro is gonna be sick in a year or two.
For home defence where you are gearing up for armed intruders coming into your house whilst you are there, you want to keep it as simple as possible. You don't want to be thinking about lasers, torches, buttons, batteries, mixture of bullets, etc. You want a gun that you can access quickly and easily handle in the dark. Pick it up, fire a single shot and 99% of the time the bad guys will run away. In close quarters, you won't need a laser sight anyway, you can hit a person by pointing and aiming - barely using sights. What you do need is training for gun safety, confidence and accuracy.
I never use multiple weight rounds, simple put lighter at longer distances require you sight higher to hit the same spot. If you forget that you have lighter rounds in your in self-defense situation you might get hurt. But to each their own.

How she is SORT of into guns, not knowing which direction to tight the screw, what individual gun parts are called etc., doing it for a role being more a ballet dancer / actress type of girl. I use a laser boresight electronic round to co-witness the laser light for the indoor distances, that way right/left eye dominance is not a factor like when you do it by eye.
earth its a sphere stretched at poles aint it? so aiming farer with a red dot or laser will be aiming/pointing higher as far i undertand, any red dot that can adjust automatically on the market Mr.Taran?
Yeah, it does make you wonder why he didn’t do the video himself, because she seemed to have a lack of knowledge in the mechanics of guns and gun parts, I was super surprised she never heard of an Allen wrench, when I say it I mean nothing against her(because she is cute) it’s just better for her to be behind the gun, then in the middle of it.

Just my training but a light on your gun gives away your center mass .. use a flashlight and hold it high or wide away from you so if someone shoots thinking you are behind the light it won't cause the damage it typically would if you caught a bullet in your chest. It's those little things that make huge differences
Interested in Taran's thoughts on the Timney in a self defense pistol. I'm running one in my comp gun and love it, but with it being marketed as a "comp" trigger have been hesitant to run it in a self defense weapon...
