Wow wow wow!!!! AMAZING! As a lifelong fan, aged 53, I find this so interesting! Well done! Such a lot of effort has been taken to do this! Thank you!!!
I've followed it all through the years, and hearing it all combined in this way is fab!!!

Angeleyes was not a lone single, but a Double-A-Side released equally and jointly with Voulez-Vous. This chart gives no perception of that reality and historical fact (in the UK).

Excellent video. I love the top 200 from the dark years of the 80s. Fascinating stuff. You’ve missed When you really loved someone. A ‘hit’ at number 115 in March 2013 😝

Agh, so annoying! Can’t believe I’ve missed that one 🤣 It was quite strange seeing I Wasn’t The One only reaching #200. Do you know if that single and Let It Shine have a limited amount of copies pressed at the time?

Hey, this video looks great. I enjoyed watching it. I'm curious, how did you add ABBA's music without getting hit with copyright infringement?

A bit of voodoo magic and it works wonders!

Did the singles really drop out of the charts at the point you’ve marked or do we simply lack the data? Can’t believe a song like TACOM is at #19 in one week and then gone from the charts the other week.

There must’ve been a rule where if sales had dropped down over 20%, the single would’ve stopped charting or something like that.

The top 200 has often been a thing during various incarnations of the official charts. Certainly through the 80s, 90s, 00s and 10s. Was never published publicly but it could be subscribed to.

@@RubberBallMan a friend of mine has been looking at the top 200 for ABBA for those years too with the recently available figures. I Wasn’t The One only sold a registered 11 copies! In real terms it’s probably estimated around 200 copies!

No wonder- Frida's Shine singles did badly as I never seen her doing any promotion. The same with Agnetha and Peter cetera, However The last time was promoted and even played on local radio and only got to number 77, Shame as its a good song.

When Heart Of The Country was released in November and December 1985, Frida was preparing to promote the album and single in the UK. However, the single wasn’t well received, and all the invitations in the UK got cancelled. So the fate of Frida’s Shine singles were sealed.

Aww now that is a shame, Heart of the country -for me wasn't a strong song choice, Did Frida promote the shine single?. I have often wondered why Frida didn't appear on UK tv at the time.

I don’t know the details, just that the whole Shine album was a huge disappointment for her commercially, to the point where she pretty much quit making albums. In fact, apart from the odd collaboration, she didn’t record again until Voyage. The vibe I caught back then, I think there might have been a bit of ageism at play at the time: Frida wanted to work the hot new producers of the day, and they made a cool album. But she was in her mid-thirties by then, and we all know how obsessed the industry is with youth. You know, if you were a kid at the time, she would have been of your mother’s generation. Agnetha might have fared a bit better because she wasn’t trying to be on the cutting edge.

Don't forget Djupa andetag. A great album that still sounds good today.
