Kinda. They don't seem to have that many current stories yet, just compilation videos of older stories. For example, they have quite a few from Beryl even though she hasn't been there for some years now.
@@Wolvenworks did you order the shared plate (whole plate of meat with rice on the side) or the single plate (a thigh/breast on a plate with rice and vege)
It is interesting how AI 🤖 content passes as “dishonest”, “fake”, “cheap”, not “real” I wonder how would these perceptions stand in a double blind placebo controlled study.
I randomly had Hawker Chan’s food when traveling without knowing who he is and I was so surprised when years later I found out that he’s world famous and got a Michelin star. Definitely deserved!
He lost the star last year cause the food became worse once he got that star and all the idiotic tourists started occupying the queues not knowing the standard has dropped
@@calvinl5726 Well that's unfortunate but I'm just happy I was there before he was famous and got the star. Can't really blame the restaurant for losing the star tbh. It's extremely difficult to keep the star rating for any restaurant, even the ones that are not overrun by tourists.
The original hawk chan stall is still the best. He has a restaurant across the street, in Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Taipei. They aren't nearly as good.
Went there in 2019, waited 45 minutes in line, wasn't aware the place was sold years prior. Definitely wasn't $1.50, definitely wasn't Michelin quality, and definitely other better places in SG.
The potato chips (crisps) story may be true, but wouldn't have been the 'invention' of crisps, as they had been listed as a recipe in William Kitchiner's book The Cook's Oracle published in 1817.
There were probably not many fine dining restaurants in the area. So the Michelin star had lower standards. It is based on whether it is worth a trip. So it makes sense for it to be relative to location.
Which of these meals around the world have you tried? 👀🍴
I have tried potato chips
I think the only food i tried potato chips and i always wanted try food u guy shows
I live in singapore and frequent the michelin stall. The food is absolutely delicious!

can someone update the price for the Liao Fan Hawker, it is 6.80 SGD or ~5 USD. The 2 SGD or 1.50 USD is since 2016.
ya the prices change already.
Oh no… how we’ve will someone with UA-cam on their iPhone and travelling to Singapore ever be able to afford it😮
Locals must regret it though.
Honestly given the inflation trend in the world... Jeez, seems about right
I guess i went to the wrong hawker chan at chinatown since that costs me $11, and it tastes like crap?

Thanks for not using ai
Pretty sure the transitions still are ai. Shorter sentences with irregularities built in make it easier to pass as human

this is a really old video.

You definitely have to wait to taste Madam Toups' cooking, because she sadly passed back in 2022.
