  • Hello everyone, after a couple of busy months and not much opportunity to get out, we finally pack our bags and head into the central area of the Lake District for a cold camp next to Sprinkling Tarn.
    It was a good opportunity to test out a new camera we had bought as our old DSLR stopped working a few weeks ago. All in all a good night out and a great place to wild camp.
    Thanks for watching! 👍

    Great little route, so many summit options from there 👌🏼
    We camped there around 10 years ago, it was busy back then but plenty of room for us all.
    Good to see you back out again 👍🏼

      Yeah it was really busy on our way down, it was a Saturday morning and there was about a hundred car parked up at Seathwait! Great area though, it’s easy to see why it’s popular. Cheers! 👍

    The gulley you thought was skew gill is actually piers gill! Skew gill is just to the side of the band route up onto great end.
    One of my favourite parts of the lake district.

      Ahh yes you're right, it looked like Skew Gill from my OS map but it's clearly Piers Gill.

      @@Adventure-Outdoors the corridor route is fantastic! Look out for lambfoot dub, about 1/2 way along and above, well worth the effort, with a couple of off piste routes up on to Great End.

    It is good to see you get out and camp again. That is some pretty cool and rugged terrain you both trek through, and I can see that it could be very windy most times. Very nice that it was not so breezy for your outing. Keep up the good video work and I look foreward to your next video.

    Dude, those drone shots are stunning, we are so jealous of the mountains. We see those lakes and are always curious about the fishing, is there anything in them do you know?

    • @Adventure-Outdoors
      @Adventure-Outdoors  Рік тому +1

      Cheers! Yes you can fish the tarns up there, this one has trout and a rare introduced fish called vendace and all of the high tarns have plenty of perch. I should really take my fly rod up there at some point! 👍

      Hi mate, yeah I think half the problem for me was the weather, we've had westerly winds for weeks on end over here and long dark nights in a wind blown tent didn't seem that appealing! We're off to Sweden at the end of April to do some canoeing, can't wait. I've finished refurbishing my old touring bike so hopefully I'll get out and do some Cycling trips once it warms up a bit. How about you? Any plans? Scotland maybe?

      Thanks Linda, it's not far from Keswick. I think the 78 bus goes past Seatoller and Seathwaite is about a 2 kilometre walk along a road from there. The farm is also a campsite during the season by the looks of it. First time I've been to the area too and I reckon there's loads of potential for a multi-day trip 👍
