I am building this set at the moment. By the way, it is very near my house and since I have seen it so many times I can say that Lego have done it very well!
I remember building both towers at the same time. Only problem I had was that the bags were not numbered so all bags had to be opened at same time. Great set though.
The very first thing I noticed was all those cheese slopes. Holy heck those must have been such an annoyance to place on, over and over and over. Geez....End product seems worth it though, this set really looks great!
I have built it and trust me it was. I completed it in about 4 hours with no breaks. I actually think I scarred my fingers from the amount of pressing I had to do. It was so worth it though.
Only 4 hours? That's pretty fast. To be honest, I'd get annoyed with a build like this, I hate doing parts over and over xD Although I must agree, the final finished look is really quite marvelous. Epic display model :D
CoolBricksSayHello The first recorded record speed build time for this thing when it came out was over 2 hours for a team of *five* people working together. My wife & I probably put 6 hours into our build together. One person doing it in 4 hours their first time seems... unlikely.
JANGBRiCKS Oh...hmm good to know. It did seem a bit suspicious. Regardless, no matter how long this takes it looks like it was a painstaking process. I don't have the attention span to build sets like this xD That's why I mostly stick to themes that have minifigs. They tend to have a bit more pizazz. The compromise, however, is the amazing look achieved by these large scale models. They really do impress :D
Eh, I'll say a few things to you, sir: 1. To each his own. Opinions are just fine : ) 2. Not everyone can simply 'put their mind' to something. Albeit, there are many things we are capable of if we try hard enough. 3. I am very aware of the process of building lego sets, as you will see by my channel : ) 4. The only painstaking part to me was the cheese slopes, as I mentioned in my earlier comment. 5. As you will also see by my channel, I have more pride in knowing that I've not only built something of lego, but built from the ideas of my own mind, not someone else's.
If they wanted to make a truly scales collectors piece, they should have made the base plates an off brown color, so it more accurately captures the color of the Thames.
I love that the cars are driving the British way on the bridge! Also, for anyone curious, there are 556 of the tan slopes. There are four other pieces with at least 100 of them in this set and three more with 90+.
Thank you for doing this review! I've wanted a good review of this set for a long time it's done in a scale that I enjoy working in. In this scale your town doesn't take up a whole room (no where near the detail) but for us space limited folk you can have more then 2 or 3 buildings. Love your channel and can't wait for the next town video.
I have this and it's truly amazing. It took my 10 hours to build it and it looked beautiful when it was finished and it now sits proudly on my mail shelf. Best if all it only coast myself £144
Got this for Christmas a few years back, but because my space is limited & I already had other sets built, I have yet to build this one... but I will! I've started dismantling the made sets so I can get to my backlog. ;)
Ah yes, the Tower Bridge. Got this thing for Christmas "last" year (2013) and it took me almost 3 days to put this whole thing together. Those damn cheese slopes. Worth it, though. And now it's being displayed in my room on a table which is actually too small.
Having lived in London for 18 years and having walked over the real thing countless times, I can't say how much I want this set! Would love to see them do other iconic London landmarks in large sets. Big Ben, St Paul's Cathedral, Buckingham Palace, The London Eye, The shard, The Gherkin, all would make for awesome sets
I think they should have put a micro-scale Aston Martin DB5 in it(but then, now that i think of it is too small). Maybe you could put a golf ball through it to make a mini around the world mini golf
If there is one thing I hate about this set it would be that in the middle with the draw bridge, you have to lift the car up because the bump between the draw bridge and the towers aren't aligned appropriately.
My wife and I did this and it is great. I like it even more than the Big Ben. The only problem is that it is so large it is difficult to find a place for it. It is currently monopolizing the desk.
Approximately how long were those "very long" building sessions? I got this set for Christmas and it's still in the box right now, and I really need to know when's a good time to do it, and also, tips on how to get it done, questions including "Should I do both towers at the same time or finish one and go back?" or "How should I sort the pieces?" or "How should I split it up if I need to do it over multiple days?". I haven't yet built a set with that high a piece count (closest is currently the Sydney Opera House), and that combined with the extreme repetition and lack of numbered bags really makes me wonder how I'm ever going to finish it.
If I remember from LEGO's official video, they shortened the bridge a little bit so that the size is manageable. Also if I remember correctly, 556 1x1 Tan Cheese Slopes!
No sadly it is sold out, I got it a couple of weeks ago and it is an amazing set but it is not available in Canada anymore, I still don't know about the us though
I have also made a MOC building and the most of the details are from this set. You can find it here ua-cam.com/video/erUlKlDEt-I/v-deo.html . Hope you like it. 2342 Details MOC.
+jan dixey You are so right because a lot of lego sets are either Danish or American styled for example in most lego vehicles the steering wheel is on the left, it should be more international or modular so you can move it to the right (if you want) so I agree because I'm English and proud
Jang, why do you review sets of buildings from London, Paris etc but not Australia? Is there any chance you could review the Sydney Opera House? (Set #10234)
+Pig Expert13 Oh and btw to all you americans out there Taxis are only like that in London and some other big cities (you occasionally see them in other places)
While the built does look good I decided against getting it because of the amount of repetition in the build. Also, it is too massive for my city. It will look oddly out of place. But very nice review as usual.
When was this set updated? The box is different than it used to be, (now labeled as Creator rather than the original plain blue) and the set has 4,295 pieces, 8 more pieces than the original.

MEH< It's TLG - they have their limits, but that would be sweet had they done that insetad
I agree, but so it doesn't look like dirt, the baseplate should be a transparent brown.

Apparently although the thames looks dirty it is actually very clean and salmon live in the thames! I do like your idea.
Yay, finally! I have wanted to see this for a while.
Okay. Now that you've done this, you can buy and build the Sydney opera house!
So,the set came out in 2010,the video is from 2014 and I'm getting this set for new year of 2018..... it appears I might be a bit late........
I think they should have put in a mini boat, so that there is a reason to lift up the bridge, but it's still an amazing set
I love that the cars are driving the British way on the bridge! Also, for anyone curious, there are 556 of the tan slopes. There are four other pieces with at least 100 of them in this set and three more with 90+.
This model is truly a sight to behold! Excellent review yet again, JANGBRiCKS !

I got it two weeks ago. Took me about 12 hours to build, now it is on display - really great model.

Wow is that all?
Yes I got a discount.
Love the Routemaster bus. Also, that is the City of London crest on the shield on the high walkway. Lovely model.
i have met the designer of this model. really nice guy!
Hi jang i love watching you /i myself love lego city sets/keep makeing more vids
This is an absolutely amazing set and I couldn't resist getting it. It was a blast assembling it as it is the largest Lego creation I've ever took on.
Building it now... what a piece to work on.... Superb...
This is a set I've interested in for a while. Thanks for the great review.
Getting at for Christmas 2018 so checked vid out to just look.
3 days away btw
YEAH! Jang is back with another LARGE model that I absolutely love...Way cool mon'
Ever since seeing it on Instagram I've been waiting for it.
Been waiting for this review Jang. I go past this bridge everyday I go to work. Cant wait to get hold of this set!
Same! But on my way to school, lol.
Thanks for the review, Jang!
The Thames is brown,not blue!
Angel Mcfadden Sadly.
Yeah lol
Thats really cool Jan!
awesome review jangbricks! really looking after for the upcoming lego star wars 2015 set :)
I just got done with mine in June 2019😂 I really enjoyed putting it together
It is so accurate!
I finished it in one day, wonderful set, great model, fun to build.
Got this for Christmas a few years back, but because my space is limited & I already had other sets built, I have yet to build this one... but I will! I've started dismantling the made sets so I can get to my backlog. ;)
love your videos jang

Why just London? A Statue of Liberty model would make an incredible set IMO.
All your suggestions sould amazing. The gherkin would be interesting to pull off
+You_just That has already been done as a miniature poly bag
chill dude True, but if London gets a 200 dollar set, so can New York.
Very awesome and beautiful
I really like the scale of the vehicles. Smaller than mini fig scale but bigger than "santas workshop" toy scale.
It looks great.
I think they should have put a micro-scale Aston Martin DB5 in it(but then, now that i think of it is too small).
Maybe you could put a golf ball through it to make a mini around the world mini golf
Green and white car was probably a classic Mini Cooper.
I know James Bond is an iconic part of Britain but as I am from London I’m not sure that would be a good idea
I have this set and loved building it. Do you think youll ever be able to review the Taj Mahal or the UCS Millennium Falcon?
love the mini vehicles
The model is beautiful
Nice review!
If there is one thing I hate about this set it would be that in the middle with the draw bridge, you have to lift the car up because the bump between the draw bridge and the towers aren't aligned appropriately.
I build this too! I might review it on my channel..
When O saw this set in a toy store in London i was like:
"Wow, this is cool!"
And then:
"Damn, it's pricey! Fair price for such a big set, but still."
I hope they do another grand bridge, maybe the golden gate or Brooklyn?
Or them bridge's in the netherlands (We dont need american themed sets, more love for other places)
My wife and I did this and it is great. I like it even more than the Big Ben. The only problem is that it is so large it is difficult to find a place for it. It is currently monopolizing the desk.

This is so cool!
Cool I like big lego sets reviews =)
I just got this set! its bigger than it seems
Wish it was minifig scale. Apart from that it is one of the finest 2010 sets.
Wow is very Beautiful lego
I want this set SO BAD!!!! :D THX JANGBRICKS FOR DEH REVIEWS YOU DO SO WELL!!!!! :)))))))
Matthew Heisler You should get it! I got it on Christmas!
If I remember from LEGO's official video, they shortened the bridge a little bit so that the size is manageable. Also if I remember correctly, 556 1x1 Tan Cheese Slopes!
I would love to know how to put a motor into this to make it open and close with the motor.
Impressive build.
Will this be used for display, or will we see elements of this build in your city?
It's well done I like it
No sadly it is sold out, I got it a couple of weeks ago and it is an amazing set but it is not available in Canada anymore, I still don't know about the us though
I think this is my favorite lego smaller then minifig scale set.
Wow! That is awesome! How hard was it on a scale from 1-5, one being the easiest, and 5 being the hardest? That's a really good job!
I LOVE IT
Got mine brand new, still sealed, off of craigslist for 140$ US
I have also made a MOC building and the most of the details are from this set. You can find it here ua-cam.com/video/erUlKlDEt-I/v-deo.html . Hope you like it. 2342 Details MOC.
Please jangbricks make a 2015 set review it would be so cool
I love this set it's a great collectors piece if your into lego architecture also does any one know if jang has done a review of the lego Taj Mahal??
I love LEGO
can not wait to build it, for now it's lego sydney opera house I build now and I love it.
Make some more miniature scale cars for it plz.
That is so cool.
loved it
This is a big Lego set :)
For completeness they should have included the smaller buildings at each end of the bridge
it's really good to get a set that is in my country originally
+jan dixey same with me
UK needs some recognition
+jan dixey You are so right because a lot of lego sets are either Danish or American styled for example in most lego vehicles the steering wheel is on the left, it should be more international or modular so you can move it to the right (if you want) so I agree because I'm English and proud
AWESOME
Now imagine this in minifig scale
Jang, why do you review sets of buildings from London, Paris etc but not Australia? Is there any chance you could review the Sydney Opera House? (Set #10234)
Ale you from australia?????🤔😏
get it while you can!
It's 4295 peices ... I'm building it as I type this, but great review!!!!
Build a double decker bus for your city moc
I've seen this bridge before in real life and I think the model is quite accurate :)
+Pig Expert13 Oh and btw to all you americans out there Taxis are only like that in London and some other big cities (you occasionally see them in other places)
Awesome
I think it's great but you should add a pirate ship set to go through the bridge.
Yeah that can also show the elizabethan era of England
While the built does look good I decided against getting it because of the amount of repetition in the build. Also, it is too massive for my city. It will look oddly out of place. But very nice review as usual.
I want to get this and pair it with the new spiderman Web Warriors Ultimate Bridge Battle set coming in August! SHOULD I DO IT?
Do u know when u r reviewing the Lego Bionicle sets?
Getting that for Chrimbo

So cool if I get that I would faint!!!
This is an awesome set lego should make a lego sky tower
Maybe the burj khalifa
I been on tower bridge in london
Have you done London St pancres station
Now that's tan!
look at the box how many is that little pieces on the conors of towers
How many instructions including the set?? I guess 5
is there anything on the inside of the two towers?
When was this set updated? The box is different than it used to be, (now labeled as Creator rather than the original plain blue) and the set has 4,295 pieces, 8 more pieces than the original.
In your reviews could you give the price. It would help a lot.
I believe it sells for about $310 usd on amazon, hope this helps
It's a pretty sturdy set... until your cat crashes into it! I was so mad at that cat!!!
