It sounds so beautiful that it gives me courage and faith and sometimes it literally brings a tear to my eye, and it makes me feel like a proud Lion. So if you want to live a life of a Lion, you must understand that life is very hard and you must fight to survive. The whole world is ready to attack you, drag you down, and criticize you. I am a grandmother. When this song first came out it was quickly a favorite. I told my kids about it. I wanted my 10 year old granddaughter to hear it because I knew she'd love it. I texted it to my daughter to have her play it for 10 year old. It gor pushed aside. Later in the summer it was a song taught at 10 year old's Bible school and she loved it!
Recently her mom has found her way back to God and told me about this song - the one I tried to show her - called Lions. A couple days later she tells me her husband is listening to it and loving it too! So powerful! Praise God and may Christians rise up as in this song.

However, he was very depressed during the last 2 or 3 years and unfortunately could do nothing with it. Moreover, he had to face deaths of many people that were very close to him. One of his closest friend, Chris Cornell, died about 2 months ago and it was a great shock to Chester. But anyway, we should be grateful to Chester for such amazing music he made.

1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
The key words being 'AS' meaning he isn't actually a lion but rather behaves like, that is similar, AS one. Satan is an imposter. He deceives so his behaviour is deceptive. Paul warns us also that satan can be transformed into an angel of light in an attempt to deceive but we know that he actually isn't an angel of the light.
2 Corinthians 11:13-15 13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
Now who is the TRUE LION? Who is actually both a lion and lamb? Jesus IS THE LION , the singular LION from the tribe of Judah.
Revelation 5:4-6 4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH, THE ROOT OF DAVID, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
Revelation 22:16 I JESUS have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I AM THE ROOT AND OFFSPRING OF DAVID, and the bright and morning star.
We learn in chapter 5 that this Root of david, which is Jesus, is also the Lion of the tribe of Judah.

I'm not religious in the slightest and I know this song is about God but I find that it can be interpreted as a song of empowerment and I love that Skillet can word songs so that it can be about god but it still can be a second message, of courage and empowerment in your life.
