Was offered an Air King over the summer while just stock checking my Rolex AD. I passed it did nothing for me. But I appreciate your thoughts and mini review.
sergio godoy omega’s are definitely underrated compared to rolex these days, Omega has better, more modern movements with magnetic protection for less money then a basic no date Rolex.
i cannot afford any of these beautiful watches but thank you very much for showing them. I could be very, very happy with any of them. But, if forced to express a preference, I somehow find the sheer class of the Omega makes it the superlative choice..
I have to say A Lange in general is very underrated compared to Patek. I own an aquanaut in white gold, green dial and a Lange 1 in white gold, blue dial, the Lange was a bit less expensive and the movement on that watch is incredible. Lange finish work and complex movements are unbelievable. I love the Patek for its heritage and is extremely well done, but the Lange seems to take it to the next level in craftsmanship.
omg , never seen the Lange 31, thanks for the introduction. I will never have the moneis to buy a remontoire, but i bought a Habring recently, will urge him to make me one :))) Have fun times.
Came across the VC Quai De L’ile for the first time a few months ago whilst looking at the usual Overseas and Royal Oaks..and bought it. Beautiful watch and an absolute bargain pre-owned at Datejust money. Despite being discontinued for the inferior 56 , there are still a few new ones on the market for around £9-£10k
You did a superb job on this one Armand. I love the VC, jt is stunning in person & actually a great value in the VC catalog. I didn't know about that particular A Lange but it is a beauty indeed, thanks!
waferpie123 It’s a nice watch, it has a Tudor 70 hour movement in it without the silicon to protect from magnets, less water resistance and at a higher price point then the Tudors with the same movement. Also you can get the Tudor in titanium version for still less or gmt version for around the same as this Breitling. The Breitling is a nice looking watch but doesn’t offer anything special for its price in my opinion since it shares movement with watches almost half its price.
WATCH CHRONICLER - I like to listen to podcasts in the car on my commute. My in car radio doesn’t play ball with anything other than the iPhone podcast app. Ah well, thanks anyway. Best wishes - great UA-cam channel anyway.
Interesting video. Particularly liked the Omega Globemaster.

agreed, it's really quite ugly IMHO.
Robert Sullivan agree the air king is one of the few definite passes in the Rolex line for me as well.
The omega is a stunner! I’d love to get one some day!
sergio godoy l They are easily attainable.

The new Air King is ugly. What's with that green paint? Close, but not quite on the mark.
Enjoyable and thought provoking. The VC's my favorite.
Superb video. Subbed. A great job of showcasing the little known or undesirable.
The Globemaster is on my radar. They should make a black dial available. The current Air King dial is fugly. It needs a makeover.
Calatrava is not underappreciated, many people appreciated them. Calatrava is number 2

What are your thoughts on Norqain? I just learned of this Swiss brand over the weekend.
Great content and well thought out subject matter!

I like the Vacheron Fleur d' Lille or whatever it's called too - but I prefer the original version that showed a more open-faced design.
Globemaster is a beast, but it's L-L is too lengthy for my wrist. DAMN.
I think the omega hour vision specifically the black with contrasting rhodium track, is probably the most underrated watch made in the last 20 years.

...everybody was having a good time and then AL&S shows up with a... WHAT ?
It would have bee great to see a model from Girard-Perregaux.But the options of this list are also outstandin.
I would very much like to love the Air King, but try as I may I have never been able to do so.
Thanks Armand for your quality charm and knowledge
Excellent video. Doing what you do best
Each has its own charms but also obvious shortcomings to be forgotten by most people.
Rolex all the way
Great video Armand.
What do you think of the Breitling Superocan Heritage ii ? Would you say it's underrated?

@@Peter-tc3ep very good reply, thank you.

Love the new intro music
