Hi Alex. Thank you for your professional videos on the Volvo XC60. I've found all of your videos that I've seen for this vehicle easy to follow and informative.
Are the apps still available? i tried to connect my phone via bluetooth with intrnet sharing enabled. It connects/shares music, but cant access the internet. (2014 s60)
Loved the video, thank you from Wales # I'm picking up a Volvo XC60 next week, it's a late 2017 2.0L SE Nav D4 'R Design' model. Can anyone tell me anything about these engines? What are they called - T5, T6 ?! I read some were made/are Ford engines? Is this one? TIA.
Alex, this is very good, but I think it would be better if you focused on how to activate different systems using VOICE controls first - and then show how to use manually.
Hi. What is the best connection to do with a Iphone so the album art cover will show on the display. Is it only when you play the music in Itunes/Apple Music or Spotify? Or both apps? Have a lovely Sunday. @alex?
what's the name of the latest software needed to update the VOC system "in the car"? Having issues with Volvo customer service hearing me out. Resubscribed for the VOC for another 12 months before the original expired. A week later, I can't remotely start the car from the phone as Volvo is telling me that the system on the car was deactivated so I will need to spend more money at the dealership ($200 roughly) for an in-car software update. WTF? Next car may not be a Volvo.
I CANNOT get my Bluetooth track info display to work at all. 2015 v70 with the same Sensus Infotainment system but it only shows “audio streaming” when playing Bluetooth Spotify tracks via my iphone7, same goes when I use it via AUX cable. Please help. Thank you
Alex, I bough a US Spec 2015.5 Volvo V60 Cross Country with US maps. I am in Europe and would like to change the US Maps to European Maps. Do you if that can be done or can I do it myself? Thanks, Fred
Navigation outdated and sucks just use google on phone. push button panel difficult to use. Sometimes hard to hang up phone calls using exit button. headlamps very dim in s60,v60 with halogen bulbs. Other than that tha cars run great! 3g modem is a joke..lol Best infotainment system I have ever used was the 2016 toyota prius. Flawless!
Volvo wasn't able to complete the update in time for a 2015 model and they didn't want to wait until 2016, so it is technically a 2015-and-a-half model year.
hey Alex, would the Volvo on call app other similar apps like BMW connected drive which allow you to honk, lock and locate your car remotely still be able to function if there wasn't a data card or Wi-Fi connection?
Why would anyone even pay for a car with "Navigation" (for $1000-1500) is beyond me. Its cumbersome and slow. Buy a $20 vent holder for your phone and use Google maps. Traffic is excellent and entering adr is super easy. You can even do it as you are on your way to your car so you dont have to get in, start the damned thing and THEN start programming...
This is how you do a professional video presentation on UA-cam.

Excellent review, thanks a lot, very informative and proffesionaly presented
Volvo's center console looks like a TV remote on the plastic.
Waiting for the new XC90, finally they redesign the center console
Everybody talks about Apple connectivity ...
What about Android ??? Does it comunicate well with Android devices ?
Loved the video, thank you from Wales #

Hey Alex, You mentioned BMW's MMI system, do you plan to review that system anytime soon? Keep up the good work.
I am amazed that Volvo didn't bother to put a backup camera on this car. It only has the sensors.
As far as I’m aware of they all come standard with a back up and 360 sensors?
@@gian_m Nope only certain trims. 2015 T5 Platuium has it but 2017 S60 T5 Dynamic does not.

does premier have cause seems like it does not
Hey Alex, can you use your phones internet connection instead of the built in At&t for the apps? Because that 3G seemed a bit slow... great review!
Yes you can. The slowness was mostly the coverage area I was in.
Excellent video, thanks.
Just got mine the other day. Any thoughts if the software just get updated overtime and get better, or is that a pipe dream.

NICELY DONE VIDEO. thanks a lot :)

So this means my 2016 Volvo can connect via that Volvo car app ?
Where i can buy it?
Could you go over seat functions
Can you download apps?
Recently bought a 1st gen xc60 2016
Hey Alex, Will this system or BMW's be able to get the Apple CarPlay through a software upgrade as it becomes available?
BMW has not said anything, but Volvo has said that this version will not get it, but the XC90s new system should.

Have you noticed that the TFT display is tilted down on the right side?
So, with the 3G modem does that mean you have to pay for additional service with a cell/data service provider?

how much is the Sensus Navigation?

can you communicate with siri via a button on the steering wheel to place a call or send a text?
2015.5?

ratfaceken No, without that connection there would be no way to communicate with the car.

I mean navigation is standard on all volvo s60 models so ya you don't really get a choice to not have it these days.
How can a audio system in 2017 not support FLAC!!!!!!!!
probably because few people use it.
hard to keep up, needs to slow down for us non-technical folks.
