Excited to see your process of decision making on your projects Nora! The fish quilt is beautiful and I love the idea of “Less is more” regarding the quilting. The pink and black quilt is BEAUTIFUL! The fabric looks like one from Edyta Sitar. Again, Thank you for sharing and I’m giving thanks your wrists are a bit better💕🧵
A great rotary cutter for you would be the Martelli rotary cutter. Very easy on the wrist. Pricey starting out, but you will not want to go back to the regular rotary cutters! I love mine. Well worth the money and no wrist issues.
Your fish quilt turned out so fantastic!! I also love to put all kinds of colors and prints together, it is so fun. I absolutely love your floral quilt that you are making. I used that floral material to make my daughter a table runner for her long dining room table. I backed it in a pretty black print so she could flip it at Christmas and use it for a base for her Christmas decoration/design that she uses at Christmas. It turned out really nice. I had enough left over that I made me a small table topper. I wonder if you might want a small black border on either side of the pink print that you are thinking of using next to the black and white squares? It seems like it might need to be set off a little to make a statement. I love all of the projects that you are doing, and I wish you great success at your market. I also hope that your wrists/hands are doing better. I truly enjoy your videos. Happy quilting………………..
The fish quilt is phenomenal! I wouldn't have given those fish a second glance, but I love what you've done! You have a great eye for unusual aesthetics.
The fish quilt is wonderful! I think the pink strip on the second quilt is the wrong shade and scale for that one. It just didn't work for me. Why not a plain black border between the center square and the checkerboard. I think this quilt will be stunning!
Love all your projects! If you’re not happy with the checkerboard border, use a harlequin shape. I think that would be awesome with those big florals. Mitered corners are way easier than they look. Hope your hands recuperate quickly! 😊
WOW, you’ve been quite busy! All your work is beautiful👏👏👏. I love your thought about the quilting for the fish quilt! Sometimes less is more🥰. Question- would a soft grey work for the binding; it’s looks like there might be a grey color in (>) looking border of the fish block. I hope that makes sense🤪. I really enjoyed this video and thought process of everything! As a newer subscriber I need to catch some of your other videos!!! Thank you so much ❤️😀
On the floral quilt with the black and white.. what size square did you use for the floral fabrics? What size black and white squares for the snowballs? Absolutely love that quilt top!!!❤❤❤❤
Mitered borders are not difficult at all! You might want to check out this video “My No Fail Method To Do Mitered Borders That Anyone Can Do For Quilting” by The Whimsical Workshop.
I have the same concern as another viewer regarding the scarf. It's beautiful but the hand stitches with a single thread are very likely to break. Perhaps consider a topstitch at this point.
On the scarf, I don’t understand why you wouldn’t put wrong sides together and sew with the machine. Your hand stitches will not stand up to regular usage of the scarf the way machine stitches would.
No fretting needed! The borders on the fish quilt are perfect! Gorgeous quilt!!
I sure would love to see more of your crumb quilting. I learned so much from those videos.
Fish quilt is beautiful!
The fish quit is beautiful ❤
Love the checker board border!

Good morning! ☕️🧵

Looks great!! Great job!!❤
I like that black for a border rather than the black and white check. Just me.
Yes! The fish quilt turned out great! I’m getting ready for an Artisan’s Market at our local park. Crunch time! 😊
The fish quilt is looking great!
That quilt looks incredible!!!! Love it ❤
Swap the pink border with the black printed border...if you have enough of the pink, that is ..
I would go with the brown that is in the quilt…
I would love to see the beautiful quilt draped over the back of your couch behind you at the end of your video.
I would use it as binding

Many quilts are finished this way (coverlets since no batting). It’s a very sturdy finish, taking small stitches is recommended.
On the scarf, I don’t understand why you wouldn’t put wrong sides together and sew with the machine. Your hand stitches will not stand up to regular usage of the scarf the way machine stitches would.
The feel of the finished product is completely different.
Are you ok? Haven’t seen a video in a while so I hope all is well!
