I'm not sure if you're a tattoo artist or not but the fact that the tattoo artist can't tattoo without scratching up their canvas is definitely a lack of skill and experience. Sure some people have lower pain tolerances that's just fact, but like very other contestant and judge says, if they aren't reacting well then get in do a clean line and get out. so in the tattoo marathon that they showed twice, while yes they said the second tattoo f*ed everyone up, so the overall competition no one was safe, but Dani did get 2 wins over everyone else who i think the other 2 wins had been done by 2 different artists 🎨, so she should have had at least a leg up on the other competitors
In season 13 I just didn’t get Arlene. Had an awful attitude to begin with, constantly rolling her eyes, dismissive, and then just quits. Someone far more deserving could’ve been on the show.
It just depends on the look, I think sometimes they say it and I don’t agree….. but I think if you want a light feel…. You wouldn’t use hard black to give into the feminine feeling…. So it’d be light, pretty, dainty….. but I think sometimes they make designs with hard black and I think it looks bomb like that tattoo look… not just art but that tattoo art look love it
Outline. OutLine. OUTLINE!!! …Unless you are Pony. 🤷♀️ Also, they shouldn’t be able to judge on personal taste. Details, line work, saturation? Absolutely! But the whole, “I simply don’t like the illustration.” is ridiculous. Also ALSO… Alexis is big and bad when picking on Ash, but so whiney when being critiqued. It reminds me of how Niki was w BoneFace.
I just realized, not only do they not show Oliver anymore, but they also skipped over Daniel Silva (number 7), you can see a few glimpses of him. 15:35
These compilations over the years at least show the progression of the series from the early meat-head days and tough talk to focusing on the art work, not to mention the evolution of the judge’s critiquing from pure nastiness to far more traditional.
I hate the human jury because they all say different things about what makes the tattoo good and just because you don’t want a tattoo on your body doesn’t mean it’s a bad tattoo

The human canvas jury was easily the worst thing this show has ever come out with. These people don’t know anything about tattoo critique and then they sit there and tear down tattoos that the canvas’ were perfectly happy with before
Am I the only one that felt like the blind “master vs apprentice” was just crazy off, I disagreed with most of their calls. They focus so much on the outline but ignore some really great values and form, color and saturation on some. Just felt super inconsistent all around on that one.
How could they sit there and make that poor woman cry about a tattoo even compared her to the Texas chainsaw massacre it right in front of her. The tattoo wasn’t even that bad.
I’m so glad that got rid of the human canvas jury in later seasons. So many times they would vote for a tattoo they just didn’t like not based on technicality
At 5:17 he goes too far. Clearly #1 is better, but to say whoever did #2 shouldn't be tattooing was too much. Pause and look at it. It's actually a solid piece. It just went up against a really good piece of work

Especially with the arm bracelet ofc there’s gonna be a bit of flesh that’s gonna be plumped out. That’s how flesh works when being wrapped around by something
The little squirrel tattoo by Duffy wasn’t even bad at all compared to the guys Mayhem tattoo that shit was horrible but they’re saying the squirrel was bad when it wasn’t
100% i think they were just being spiteful because the woman defended herself 🥴 the squirrel was a million times better with linework/shading while also being in color, meanwhile the mayhem one failed in all those parts AND the face anatomy wasn’t great in what should be a realism tattoo. backwards judging completely by the jury lmao
I hate when they blasted the mom portrait right in front of her.. broke my heart to see her cry. The kicker is, she liked it! People are cruel
Ikr! She was like it looks like me and was happy. So mean
so in the tattoo marathon that they showed twice, while yes they said the second tattoo f*ed everyone up, so the overall competition no one was safe, but Dani did get 2 wins over everyone else who i think the other 2 wins had been done by 2 different artists 🎨, so she should have had at least a leg up on the other competitors
I laughed so hard at the dude who tattooed his girlfriend .....she looked like 👽 👽👽👽
In season 13 I just didn’t get Arlene. Had an awful attitude to begin with, constantly rolling her eyes, dismissive, and then just quits. Someone far more deserving could’ve been on the show.
I actually love the pup cone 🍦
I hate when they say things like “Don’t use so much hard black because it’s a lady” OKAY? and?
It just depends on the look, I think sometimes they say it and I don’t agree….. but I think if you want a light feel…. You wouldn’t use hard black to give into the feminine feeling…. So it’d be light, pretty, dainty….. but I think sometimes they make designs with hard black and I think it looks bomb like that tattoo look… not just art but that tattoo art look love it
It’s weird how they try to act like Oliver Peck never existed.
Lmfaoooo this is one of the videos where the meme is LITERALLY happening
Dave: You have to tattoo what your canvas wants
Artists: UGHHHHH WTFFFFFF
Duffy’s squirrel is adorable 😍
33:42 I think that tatto unfinished is still really cool. If I went home with that I wouldn’t be upset it looks good for not being finished
Ryan is just sooo talented
Outline.
OutLine.
OUTLINE!!!
…Unless you are Pony. 🤷♀️
Also, they shouldn’t be able to judge on personal taste. Details, line work, saturation? Absolutely! But the whole, “I simply don’t like the illustration.” is ridiculous.
Also ALSO…
Alexis is big and bad when picking on Ash, but so whiney when being critiqued. It reminds me of how Niki was w BoneFace.
I disliked Ash and Alexis as Alexis was always starting something and Ash overstayed her welcome
I just realized, not only do they not show Oliver anymore, but they also skipped over Daniel Silva (number 7), you can see a few glimpses of him.
15:35
seeing matt was great, i loved his art and he was adorable when the judges and coaches were complimenting him he was all flushed😭
Sittingbat work for 6 hours already. I couldn't imagine both the artist and canvas sitting there for 6 hours.
If your from Colorado, especially the Metro, you would immediately know that blue horse. Blucifer is an icon. Great freaking tat.
BLUCIFER
These compilations over the years at least show the progression of the series from the early meat-head days and tough talk to focusing on the art work, not to mention the evolution of the judge’s critiquing from pure nastiness to far more traditional.
*professional
I hate the human jury because they all say different things about what makes the tattoo good and just because you don’t want a tattoo on your body doesn’t mean it’s a bad tattoo
I'll die on this hill, Bubba got shafted on the coach face off blind critique. That shit was IN-FUCKING SANE
The #4 puzzle 🧩🧩 lady tattoo is my favorite!!!!!
This is still playing in the background because it's for forever it appears... But not ONCE did I feel like DAMN! I want ink from any of the supposed "judges".... I've seen their Insta and it ain't anything but Blah! It really is funny how "reality" shows make things so further make belief. I want a Scott Campbell ink and Tatu Baby and some others but NEVER the judges work as it is simply just MEH!
The fish has a tail, you just can’t see it lol. Just like all those people in the portraits presumably had a body, they just didn’t tattoo that part.
I like how Arlene said she has cataplexy and paraplexy or whatever it is she said so she can’t get stressed or she’ll get paralyzed and Chris responded with “if you get punched when ur rigid ur probably getting knocked out”. Like dayumm.
the fact that most of the competitors get offended by the honesty of the coaches is like baffling
I wonder if that squirrel lady still loves her artist after watching her episode and hearing Duffy call her a "bitch" ?😮😅
There is no way they use the full 6 hours for most of these.
Its cap they use what time they need
@@johnkennedyreyes2634 they have to have some sort of limit because we see lots of unfinished tattoos
@2:36 you can tell Katie did the tattoo because Honestly it looks like her, The big droopy eyes they look like her eyes with out glasses on but the owl doesn't have glasses if it did it would be her as a owl !! 😅 🤘🇺🇸🤘🇺🇸🤘🇺🇸🤘🇺🇸🤘🇺🇸🤘🇺🇸
Why do we only hear Oliver in all these clip videos? Every one I've watched they don't show him.
they took him out of the videos bc of a racism scandal that came up
@@aquaxastro I ended up seeing that today. Thank you!
He dressed up in black face and a racist costume and sa-ed someone was also racist to the poc producers behind the scenes
That One Girl On The Verge Of A Breakdown Every Time The Camera Panned To Her… GIRL
Duffy’s Squirrel was way better than Brian’s
There is so much I've had to say about this whole comp, but I've held my tongue
However, Marissa being challenged by Chris (Kris?), her mentor, got me in knots: he didn't throw you under the bus; he's an ex marine, and as a vet, myself, he threw you a challenge to see if you'll sink or swim, baby That's how marines, hell, military in general, do That's how they gain their confidence and trust in you
Why do I always go to bed watching a Winebox Papi video or serial killer documentary and I wake up to a Ink Master marathon??!! So weird. It’s either this or catfish. Auto play algorithm is wild!!
The human canvas jury was easily the worst thing this show has ever come out with. These people don’t know anything about tattoo critique and then they sit there and tear down tattoos that the canvas’ were perfectly happy with before
3:27:00
That girl was so ANNOYING! She looked like a discount, bargain bin version of Cyn Santana. 🤦🏾♀️
4:07 that eye twitch tho 😂😂😂
Am I the only one that felt like the blind “master vs apprentice” was just crazy off, I disagreed with most of their calls. They focus so much on the outline but ignore some really great values and form, color and saturation on some. Just felt super inconsistent all around on that one.
How could they sit there and make that poor woman cry about a tattoo even compared her to the Texas chainsaw massacre it right in front of her. The tattoo wasn’t even that bad.
I'd go with Clean. Ryan's winning tattoo is stunning!
I’m so glad that got rid of the human canvas jury in later seasons. So many times they would vote for a tattoo they just didn’t like not based on technicality
Two words for all the drama with Canvas squirming: NUMBING CREAM 😂
when the show original started there was no such thing as numbing cream
They always asking where the black is, how dark do they want these tattoos? It’s got dimension leave him alone 😢💔
Funny that as soon as the finale hits literally no one has a bad tattoo.
At 5:17 he goes too far. Clearly #1 is better, but to say whoever did #2 shouldn't be tattooing was too much. Pause and look at it. It's actually a solid piece. It just went up against a really good piece of work
100% I'd go with Cleen every time.
And I'm not a tattoo artist, I can't draw for toffee and i don't have any tattoos 🤣
If you are from Colorado or ever been to Colorado, you know damn well where that red eye bronco is from lol.
I should get a tattoo of a rat looking all majestic under the moon, that would be cool.🌖🐀
It’s low key dope
Yes, I'm usually anti - bringing up past stuff and knowing the context of everything, but Oliver wore a custom with N in the middle of it, Blackface with an Afro and a fake gap in his two big teeth. Pretty bad, man.
And he was canceled so...
It’s pretty hilarious
@@zildjiankiller N used in that way doesn't scream hilarious.
Who cares stfu
@@zildjiankiller wow racism that doesnt affect you whatsoever. Funny.
I wonder if every artist makes money during the season, since they're away from home and aren't working. Wonder if the producers pay them for each tattoo they do?
No I spoke to cleen a while ago and they get paid per episode. Some of the things he told me seriously ruined it for me lol
@@TJSPARKLE
Well damn, that kinda sucks. Unless they're getting a nice amount per episode. The more popular people probably get more?
@@TJSPARKLE what you thought this shit was real? They tattoo yeah but everything else is staged
@@sad_vegan507 I was talking about the judge's involvement mostly
@@sad_vegan507 and yeah clean said about alot of it staged for TV
North Carolina looked awesome idk wtf that judge was talking about... If they're having days with "no" best tattoo they need to change the name of the show to "tattoo uni"... They should judge all the tattoos blindly, their "tattoo environment" isn't for women they always lean towards the dudes even when the work sucks. 8 out of 10 "winners" are men
If you don’t know who peck is you’re lost on the eyeball tattoo
ashley is really good. realism is the most difficult, with 3d hyper realism, you will be top notch.
1:12:25 I prefered Raul tatoo it is more appealing to the eyes and a really Nice concept
10:25 he's right, that eagle looks depressed!
The nj tattoo is so beautiful 🤩
IMO the number one tat out of the 24, definitely shouldn't have been number one! I guess everyone likes what they like tho..
Why is Oliver cut out of all the judging commentary? They don’t show him
he was caught doing black face multiple times :( so he got fired
My god, that black dude at the end, so effin patient.. Good on him for being able to handle that smokin hot diva.
All so beautiful and lovely to see 🙏😇😎✌️💛 Great work.
I miss the show.
46:49 I’m in love with Kelly Doty 🖤💚
