Salt on the bottom pan acts as the oven,,if you place the grill pan directly on heat,the buns will burn
What can I do to avoid them from drying?
Can you use a Niko to bake(jiko koa)...using the double grill?
Yes you can.Just place the grill pan on a chapati pan.
They look soft and yummy, me i love brown burns, is it possible to replace the white flour with a brown one, (whole wheat flour)

Can one use normal serviettes in place of the baking paper? Also, what did you add after the yeast?
Kindly dont use the serviettes, grease the pan with butter or cooking oil and dust some flour

No baking powder needed?
No,you only use yeast
Does self rising flour work for this too?
Just use the plain flour because you will have to add yeast, yeast is a must

Grease then pan with some cooking oil or butter the dust some flour.I used an old pan.
