  • Sometimes the bravest thing to do is accept a little more help. And it is okay to do so.
    A little update too.
Just got to keep putting one foot in front of the other.

I am INFINITELY proud of you for taking this step!! Letting people in when you are feeling so low is so very hard, and you did it. I'm also extremely proud that despite you feeling this low, YOU KEPT GOING!! THAT'S PHENOMENAL! You had nothing left to give (direct quote), and you still dug in and pushed forward and that's absolutely amazing. I'm so so proud of you.

The pure joy in your face by the end is miraculous 😘
I hate this cliche but remember once you hit rock bottom you can only go up. I think Hannah brought you so many of what we call NSV (non-scale victories). Maybe you can plan and focus and treating yourself weekly to remind yourself that Fi IS worthy!!!! You most definitely loved. Even from those of us who don't physically know you.

I think it is a great idea accepting help with preparing meals and snacks. that is one of the main things i struggle with as well. I understand how strong the voice is, and i get very confused, and filled with guilt over everything i put in my mouth. It is very exausting, and crippling. You are doing a great job, you should feel proud of yourself. You are always a huge inspiration to me. I enjoy watching your videos. I feel better knowing Im not alone!! Love, Loren

Been thinking about you. Even though you can't see it you have grown. Struggling and continuing your meal plan and being honest with your family and team is HUGE growth. We like to believe that recovery is a straight line but what's hard to comprehend is it is normal to have all sorts of dips, curves and valleys in order to get to the finish line. I'm not going to share what helped me, we all have to find our own way, but you are doing it. You will get through this! You will figure out how to quiet that monster in your head. It gets so loud, but you will figure out how to be louder! I believe in you! Cheering you on from the US. ❤️❤️❤️

Sometimes recovery looks/feels like "going through the motions." It is a legitimate part of recovery and something that doesn't get talked about enough. You are working so effing hard and it shows. I don't personally view this stage as a setback (although my opinion doesn't matter, only that of you and your team ofc!!), but rather one of the many stepping stones towards recovery.

To be able to help someone is a good feeling so you are doing a good thing for yourself and others too. (I'm sorry this is going to be a long one but I am posting it despite my anxiety of imposing here)
Dear Fi, I hope you are really proud of yourself for letting others in and letting them help you in this crisis! I know I am! That's a very hard and scary thing to do when one has spend so long shutting the world out instead.
Let them be your woggles! 😄 Because learning to swim is hard and dangerous and getting help with it gives one techniques with which to actually swim instead of treading water and simply not drown.
Also, from the outside perspective it's much harder to see a loved one struggle and _not_ be allowed to help. (always with the caveat that it has to be actual help and not being overbearing or expecting everything to suddenly be well after having helped, etc - though your friends and family seem really good at that actual kind of help) And being let in and allowed to do something (even if it's something as simple as a hug) eases one's own anxieties and worries.
You had mentioned that you felt you needed "a day off" for months but always insisted on that being impossible and having to push through and keep challenging yourself - and I kept nodding along because while it was obviously exhausting you, I had no idea how you could get that day off. But maybe the pace of change was too much and the amount of responsibility you (and others?) felt you had to shoulder was, too? I mean, I can see where it was all coming from but it also obviously wasn't good for you mentally? Maybe going forward you can find a way with your team and parents to make changes at a more bearable (and thus more doable and sustainable?) for you pace.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed and you in my thoughts 💚
