Yesss. I can't wait for the Rooney concert. One of my favorite Luke episodes even though it was mostly about the Oliver triangle. I love that Chris seems just as cool as his character - a big warm hearted kid.
The O.C. had a real problem with important "side" characters just disappearing, never to be heard from again. Luke at least got a reason and a season 2 guest spot.
His character development was probably one of the best on the series. He went from the absolute worst to super likeable. Wasn’t fond of his Julie relationship, but it sorta worked. Was bummed when he left.
Rachel mentions that Adam Brody was in a band called "Big Japan". Now...I'm guessing that was the inspiration for Summer going to prom with a guy from a band called "Big Korea" 😆
Yes and in an episode in season 3 where Marissa is at Newport Union public school, when Ryan joins them for lunch, Chili is wearing a Big Japan T shirt . It’s the episode where they all go to get yoghurt and leave Ryan and Johnny to talk at the table by themselves.
@@_NPJ speaking of Chili, I totally forgot the actor and the super suuper strange circumstances of his death... i wonder if they mention it once they get to the episodes with him. i mean it would be weird if they do, but also weird if they don't i guess?
He was! I saw his band play I think about 3 or 4 times. Rachel and Mischa went to a show and I got to meet Rachel and Adam there. Jonah Hill was in his band for a bit too :)
@@NELLISZ1 yeah that will be interesting. It’s crazy that his name in real life was Johnny and he died from a fall.... similar to his friend Johnny in the show!

It's been months-I'm still the kid from Chino who burned a house down." 🔥🏠 Marissa-"And I'm still the girl who tried to kill herself in Mexico." 💊🥃 Seth-"I'm still...the...I'm still Seth Cohen." 🤓 Luke-"Man, this is gonna suck!" Probably the best episode of the podcast so far! Chris seems like such a happy, positive guy and we definitely need more of people like this in our lives! It really was such a pleasure to hear him talk about the show, and the chemistry of all three of you is just on point. Hope he'll be back soon! Also...we needed more of Luke!!!
Oh my gosh, he is the loveliest person. Would love if you had him back again. I like how he dove into what he may have been thinking within the scene as far as his choices went as an actor. Overall just a great person, you can tell.
Luke being portrayed as this very surface level, superficial dude and then Chris being the complete opposite of that, very talented, educated and cultured, just shows these actors are amazing.
Omg i totally agree! He is a fantastic actor! Honestly his personality just make him look completely different if you know what I mean. Such a pure soul.
It was super ironic that during the "Oliver saga", Luke was only other one to see through Oliver ("Dude, he was NOT joking") and stood by Ryan when everyone else deserted him, Seth included.
@@prathameshrane5841 yes! the show focused wayyyy to much on the respective relationships and stupid triangles that the friendships were super underdeveloped

I love this podcast. This episode does indeed set up the foundations for a new friendship circle for Luke and in fact, we see how good a friend he can be since he is the only one who believes Ryan's trepidations about Oliver and goes further to actively support him by investigating Oliver, did Seth? Nope.
I said that a little ways up. Ryan stands by Luke in this episode and takes a beating with him. Luke respected that and returned the favor through the Oliver saga.

This may be my favorite episode of the podcast so far! It might have been the first "interview" I've watched with Chris Carmack too and I absolutely love him!
