Phil literally says in the video that the people making these decisions were not elected but are bureaucratically appointed positions. They only people they're accountable towards is their higher ups and the only thing they want is more power and control.

I'm sure intense pressure from the teacher's unions contributed to decisions to close schools. They bought into the Covid hysteria, felt at risk, and wanted to save their own big behinds at all costs.
We wen´t through hell, here in Denmark, were many businesses closed, and most schools we're closed, and kids send home. We still see the effect of this today, and not in a good manner. Cheers from Denmark.

I was in China the entire time. From 2020-2021, I was teaching in Dalian in the north. For most of the time we were on zoom. Businesses closed. Some permanently. I moved to Shanghai hoping it'd be better. Suzhou got covid, so they did an entire lockdown including the highways to nearby small towns like where my friend lives. Following Suzhou's lockdown, Shanghai had a few cases, and we went into lockdown for 2 months. My buddy in Pudong had a case in his building a month before the lockdown, so he was essentially stuck in his building for 3 months. I lived on my school wasn't in any neighborhood community groups for ordering food or sharing news, but my friend in Pudong was. He was sharing some gruesome videos to my friend and I in our little buddy group of people grabbing their wife and kids and jumping out the window. Was happening around Shanghai. I spoke to some business owners in Shanghai about how this would affect them. They told me just being closed for 1 week sets them back over a million in debt, so 2 months they'll be lucky to even reopen. This all happened at the same time Evergrande bank was collapsing, there was a drought in some parts of China, historic flooding in others that nearly broke the 3 gorge dam, etc. I left when Shanghai reopened because my visa expired and I couldn't find work easily. I read in the news nowadays China's facing recession and everything and you have to remember everything they went through with covid on top of everything else that happened. The country has to be running on fumes aka fake monopoly money and IOU's.

Here in Australia it was a nightmare for kids...My grandson spent two years at home in lockdown...Then when the schools opened up again we noticed an aggression in the children and bullying became rampant ...My grandson left school and was home schooled because of the bullying ...He has re entered school this year (a different school) and it has settled down now to where he is getting back to his normal self again....Even now I have noticed people are no longer as friendly as they used to be I think many are still traumatised by the last 4 years

We pull out of this by changing the educational system (which as been long overdo) by encouraging school choice (charter schools, homeschooling, & vocational schools). The teachers' union has too much control emphasizing wokeness and diversity instead of the academics. Parents need to boycott underachieving (public) schools. In this fashion the public schools will lose money as enrollment declines. They will be forced to compete offering courses in the academics, remedial reading & math, STEM, and vocational training. THE POWER OF THE BOYCOTT!

I agree that a lot of schools handled the pandemic poorly, but isn’t it a little odd that it’s now considered abusive and reckless for schools to let kids spend extended periods of time in their homes? I get that some kids have broken/abusive homes, but that’s not the schools’ fault or responsibility. Until about a century ago, kids being at home with their family was the default state of society, but now it’s a traumatic, life-altering, mind-destroying tragedy perpetrated by the school system?
Didn’t Dr.Phil send children that were on his show to place where they got abused and sexually abused? 🤨
