@@KingPOF Well, lore-wise Casper was a slave, as you can see by the color of her name and the collar around her neck. She simply didn't earn a place on the ship to the stars.
If you go by in-game, hard-coded mechanics: You literally can't load slaves into the shuttle and you have to recruit or liberate them first, which I just didn't do 😁

how well does your game run on these really long lasting colonies? farthest i can go w/o getting tired of the frame drops is about 4/5 years :p
"Ok" up to 40 colonists I'd say. The more mods you use and the more corpses on your map, the worse it gets 😁
Yeah, eat the corpses burn the skeletons, use deep storage mods for less textures. Also there are some mods for performance improvement but 8 am not yet sure if and how they help
Use performance mods. Like runtimegc or rocketman.
They'll enhance your tps so much.

Don't keep animals (except horses or muffalo for caravaning), and clense your tile of wildlife periodically. Every animal on the map counts as a pawn, and the game has to calculate for every time a chicken does "go over here, go over there(unless other is overthere) eat seed, go over here (can't go over there, else go over there +Y+1) and so on. If you aboslutely have to, use cows or similar you can milk. Keep 1 bull to have babies, eat the babies.
Holy shit. Your people barely escaped! Good timing and awesome ending, I am so glad Rimworld exists. I'm planning on creating something similar to Rimworld too, but I'll add my own twist on the formula and hope it only turns out 1 percent as good as this game.

I had ending like that once. They threw a grenade as i launched the ship, blowing it in half, leaving most of the colonist behind. What software do you use for the timelapse, and how often do you have it set to take screenshots? I have Gbs of colony pictures on my pc, might as well make a timelapse or two.
The addon "Rimworld Renderer" takes the screenshots once per in-game day.

What is that in extra cell in each Pawn's room? A research bench of some sort?
What happened at the beginning the huge fire that nearly ended your run early?
I think some raider set the crops on fire, not sure anymore. I'm using the addon Wildfire, that makes it so that fire does not automatically start rain. Usually the whole map just burns down if the fire is not stopped.
what was the seed that got you this kind of terrain? Is this like an Island? Like an archipelago mod, and you just chose one of the islands? I have never seen one like this and it is beautiful I want very very much. Or maybe you can give me the seed name and I can try to find it?
It's from the mod Geological Landforms on the workshop.
It came out a while ago and has since been the most popular mod for the game I think? It shows up on the very first page of the workshop at least.
Adds a ton of interesting map types to play on.
