    I also add my witness to the truth of the Prophet Joseph Smith! By the power of the Holy Ghost, this has been borne to my very soul! The gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth by his prophet Joseph Smith! How grateful I am that I am apart of this. That I live now in these latter days! Praise the Lord! Praise the man who communed with Jehovah!!!

      Diane Collard Yes he sure was, and so were Brigham Young, John Taylor, Wilford Woodruff, Lorenzo Snow, Joseph F Smith, Heber J Grant, George Albert Smith, David O McKay, Joseph Fielding Smith, Harold B Lee, Spencer W Kimball, Ezra Taft Benson, Howard W Hunter, Gordon B Hinckley, and now Thomas S Monson, but the prophet Joseph paved the way for them.

    The first time I heard this song was at the Utah State Prison. I was doing a year sentence for possession of drugs. The man who creates the stained glass windows for the temples came and shared his story at a fireside. His wife sang this song at the end of the meeting. I had never heard this song before. The beauty in the song and her voice pierced my soul and imprinted on me permanently. The words In this song I remembered, like I had heard it many times before. I listen to this song regularly and can feel the spirit every time I listen to it. Our Heavenly Father knows each one of us individually and knows our hearts. He loves each one of us no matter what we do. The atonement is beautifully created for our own good if we utilize it. May each one of you find peace love and charity in your lives and be able to return home to our Heavenly Father. Sending love and light to all of you reading this. May God bless each one of us in our journeys.

      I, too, was touched, and my testimony grew because of the truth I felt in this lovely hymn!! I had come to know about the first vision, and more of what Joseph Smith knew, as I was able to see how much more in truth and blessings…..which is the fullness of truth and blessings that the Restored Gospel and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has had to offer me over me over the years…and still does, amidst the opposition of these days. How ungrateful I would be if I had not listened and followed when I did….and even though life is very hard at times now, I will never give up the fight for the right and truth of the witness and testimony of Joseph Smith, and of all of the prophets and apostles, and many other disciples of Jesus Christ….both in former times, and in the present day, as well as my own testimony, more precious than anything the rest of the world has to offer me. How many testimonies of the truth are needed to convince those who do not know? Not until they desire and seek with honest hearts, will they discover the truth of what we know. I only wish that they would follow what the Lord tells us through his chosen servants, for those are Jesus’s words to us that will help us to truly live. This church is the only true and living church upon the earth today, and what I have learned and experienced and know….it is the only one that can offer both salvation and etetnal life. Lehi’s dream is truly being played out on the earth today….in other words, it is really happening. The way for man is narrow, but as the narrow way is followed, the righteous possibilities and choices are endless, and there for the choosing.

    Nothing that ever happens in the world will ever change the truth of Joseph Smith’s inquiry to God, and the first vision that followed, and all of the good that has come into the world because of it. The Kingdom of God will roll forward, nobly and consistently, until Jesus declares that the work is finished.

    Being a prophet is not about doing spiritual tricks. It is about being the Lord's mouthpiece, spokesperson, and a leader by example. It is about telling the truth of things that have already been revealed too. Emphasizing and teaching the words of Jesus Christ. I do suggest that you go to click on the MORMON CHANNEL link on my home page here, and see all of the wonderful and GOOD things that are being taught. Don't call good evil. If it's good, it's good.

    I love the Book of Mormon that Jesus Christ sent into this world. He called the prophet Joseph Smith when he was only 14 and at that time Joseph was instructed by Jesus Christ and God the Father was there too, declaring his Beloved Son. Everytime I watch this video I feel the Spirit of God, feel peace, comfort and happiness because of the truth. So thankful for what this event has meant to the world, even what it has meant to me. I read the Book of Mormon which came forth by the power of God, by the command of Jesus Christ, and know it is true.

      Alma 11:27-39, 44" And Amulek said: Yea, there is a true and living God. Now Zeezrom said: Is there more than one God?
      And he answered, No."
      Does Smith agree? "I will preach on the plurality of Gods. I have selected this text for that express purpose. I wish to declare I have always and in all congregations when I have preached on the subject of the Deity, it has been the plurality of Gods."
      History of the Church, Vol. 6, p. 473-479

      Steve, if you read the whole account, and not just the trap question of Zeezrom, you will see that Amulek did answer this question... and while he said that there was no more than one God, he did talk about the SON of God coming down to this earth... so you see, when Amulek says there is ONE God, he is not meaning that there is one person. ONE means unified. ONE means acting together, of one mind and one spirit, a perfect unity and TEAM effort. There is no way the Father of us all could save us from sin without ANOTHER. It took two. Jesus Christ needed to sacrifice for us, and then he and only he could pay the price of sin, He being perfect... and this satisfies the demands of justice IF we accept Him, obey His laws and keep His commandments. This team effort to save us from our sins is what the Godhead does, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. One God. Three beings. They are a team and it can be no other way, otherwise mercy would rob justice and God is not going to do that.

    I love the choir on this, the all female choir that sang this particular arrangement at General Conference recently. They sing it with such great feeling and power, it is the best arrangement as far as I can tell. Also the organ has a solo in this song that just impresses and is powerful in the Spirit, the chords, the divine quality to it. I am a musician and can tell you that this rendition of this song is the best I have heard and it fits this video beautifully.

    I will say. I grew up Mormon and I cannot fully get behind it’s full dogma. However. Joseph’s account of this. I know full well. The darkness overtaking. All true. The smallest of hymns and prayers repels them.
    You don’t have to be Mormon to receive light and protection. Simply ask for it.

    • @bookofmormonanswers
      @bookofmormonanswers  5 років тому +1

      CupidCrux, this account truly is powerful and you can feel it is true by the Spirit which is in it. People may be dogmatic, but the truth is the truth and Jesus Himself was not dogmatic, at least not from what I can read in the scriptures. Jesus was always patient and even said less rather than more, like when he was being judged and then crucified. But the Lord does want us to get along first, rather than be taken back or offended and let differences separate us. Even Jesus' Apostles were arguing once about who was the greatest among them, and Jesus taught them to be one, not argue or contend, and to be the servant of all to be the "greatest" in the Kingdom of God. If there are doctrines or "dogmas" that bother, all I can say is pray to know how you can accept them, and maybe the spirit of understanding will come.

    If I had a chance to do something, I would ask my Lovely beloved Heavenly Father to let me sing for him.
    Sure I'm never perfect, but I had made some serious mistakes in my life once, but I think if you ever did that then go to your Bishop and repent for those things, I know that I did that as well, and right now I have a testimony that God the Farther and Son Jesus Christ will never give up their love on you.
    I believe that this is all true, I know when the adversary tries to bring you down, Iv'e been through their before many times.
    And that sometimes, I always used to thought that I should had never accepted the truth in my life before because of all the thing's that I have done and seen before wrongly in my life.
    But the truth is real, and I know that it can not be denied in my own heart, and weather I had ever made a mistake again or before, then I shall truly know that I must always try to repent no matter how hard the trial goes through always your life.
    I witnesse unto thee that Russel. M Nelson is a true Prophet seer and revalotaor of the earth today, and that I also known that Joseph Smith was always a true Prophet and seer and reverlator once from this earth, not only did he do this for us but he also knew any was told that he needed to do this for his beloved Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ our Humble Brother as well.
    And because of all these things that I know is true, I desire that one, I am able to find what I am looking for as well, that I know if you search dillegently like the words from the Prophets and apostles that have said before, then ye shall also find and know what you are looking for in life as well, that you shall study and prayer the scriptures when you ponder in your heart that this is all true, I believe that the words that are many spoken today are true, they are their to teach us, guide us through our wonderful Heavenly Fathers Plan of salvation, and that they are also thier to warn us about the bad and unseeking temptation and bad things that has been bringing into this world today. I know and I study and ponder with a word of heart that this is all true, and I Humblely and truthfully say that in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

    You know, those are details that none of us really KNOW about, aren't they? Here is what I DO know. I have prayed and asked God if these things about the vision are true, and He has plainly manifest the truth of it to me. Also, everytime I hear this song, or watch this video depiction, the Lord reveals the truth of it to me by the POWER of the Holy Ghost. I still know its all true. None of the other doubts you bring up even matter. This is because the event happened as Joseph Smith said.

    I know it is i true - i knew it the first time i heard it - i dont know why some people get the answer so powerfully and automatically as i did - as a 16 year old - it used to puzzle me as a missionary as well - but I know he saw God the Father and Jesus Christ -

    • @machupicchushow
      @machupicchushow 6 років тому

      I know it is true too, even on my mission when I already knew from age 16 as well, it was witnessed to me powerfully as a 19 year old missionary when this movie played. It still does the same many years later. The Holy Ghost really witnesses to me that this really did happen, it is true, and if we know that this event was true, we will accept the restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ next, the priesthood of God being restored as well, Book of Mormon is true. All this!

    • @machupicchushow
      @machupicchushow 6 років тому

      We are merely guessing at "details" but the official version IS the one that Joseph Smith penned and made into Church History, and now is scripture. The only way to not believe that is to suppose that Joseph Smith was a liar. I have received a witness every time I see this that Joseph Smith was not a liar, but was God's prophet, he did see what he claimed he saw, and I don't have to take his word for it, God witnesses this so it is true, by the power of the Holy Ghost we may know all things. Personally, I really don't care what Martin Harris or David Whitmer had to say about much, they had many person struggles later on, and Whitmer never returned. He did not believe Joseph Smith was a prophet, and apostacized... his opinion or version of things rings suspect to me anyway... logically. Spiritually, the Holy Ghost has NEVER witnessed to me of any of the things that they ever said or even supposed. Because of Martin Harris the Book of Lehi was lost, and the Lord did call him a wicked man at the time. He had troubles. I don't trust his account of anything that didn't have to do directly with Joseph Smith. He got excommunicated, and then came back after a long time. Its kind of like in the days of Jesus, there also was a bad apostle, Judas, who did some pretty despicable things. We can't take it for granted that because of a calling that a person is righteous all the time, and must be believed. In fact, it is our duty to know by revelation whether what a man in such a calling says, is the truth. By the power of the Holy Ghost. It is the same today. When I watch General Conference, and hear them, I still do feel the Holy Ghost verify and witness that what they say is the truth. If one of these was to say that Russell M. Nelson was a fallen prophet, and I had to merely take their word for it, that is when I would stop listening to that apostle, and listen instead to the Holy Ghost.

      more on Martin Harris (from Ensign 1979) "Joseph Smith wrote sadly from Liberty Jail, “Such characters as McLellin, John Whitmer, David Whitmer, Oliver Cowdery, and Martin Harris are too mean to mention; and we had liked to have forgotten them” (History of the Church, 3:232). This entire group had been excommunicated, the first four in the spring of 1838, and Martin Harris in December 1837.
      Some years later Martin Harris repented, and on 7 November 1842, five years after his excommunication, he was rebaptized in Kirtland (see Times and Seasons, 2 Jan. 1843, pp. 62-63). But his repentance was incomplete, and he was shortly led away from the Church again. Within two years he had become an avowed member of the Shakers. Subsequent to that he joined with James J. Strang and even served a mission for Strang’s church in England.
      He later left Strang and on 23 January 1847, with William W. McLellin, an excommunicated former apostle, organized a new church, the Church of Christ. That particular church soon proved a failure.
      Through all of his waverings, Martin Harris never denied his testimony of the Book of Mormon, the one thing of which he had a sure knowledge.

    People seem to think that religion is supposed to make sense instantly but that's not true as we are just humans. We forget that these words are given to us by a divine being of immense power. By God himself. We are just humans and to deny his words simply because WE do not understand them or why he has told us different things? I have seen people deny Joseph smith as a prophet because of this or that. But just remember that if God tells you to do something. Not everyone will understand why. Doesn't change how true it is. The Bible is a witness to that, for many many people that were killed in situations just like Joseph Smith. Just remember that not everyone understands the why. That is where faith comes in. I know for a fact that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God and that he was truly the chosen one to help restore the Gospel. And if we truly listen to this song we can feel the truth of the words and even the video itself.

The Devil tries to stop him praying but he could not overpower Joseph. that day in the spring of 1820 Joseph saw God and The Savior. Joseph was told not to join any churches on earth all of them are wrong at the time The Church was not on earth. the Savior told Joseph many other things including that Joseph was the prophet then Joseph was alone he ran home and told his mom Lucy what happened.

      If Joseph Smith ran home and told his mother that he talked to Christ and God the father in 1820..can you then explain to me why the account of this mentioned first vision was not known by anyone until it was published by the church in 1838?

    • @bookofmormonanswers
      @bookofmormonanswers  7 років тому +3

      because Joseph Smith did not make an OFFICIAL account of his experience until 1838. notes and drafts are available to all prophets. Moses wrote the first 5 books of the Old Testament, even though he was not there for Genesis. It is done by revelation. When Joseph Smith was a young boy, he was still learning, and farming. He had a 3rd grade education. I don't think its very fair to demand a complete written account from the 14 year old boy who was still learning how to read and write when God called him as a prophet. Try and give the boy prophet a break, and wait for more information. The fact is, Joseph Smith DID make an official version, and I have read both, and they are still compatible, just depends on your perspective at the time. God is ONE, you know, and the interesting/fascinating details came later when Joseph Smith took the time to explain it more thoroughly. Should be as simple as that. Have you ever thought about how the New Testament has 4 gospels, and yet Matthew writes about the Sermon on the Mount, 3 chapters full! And John does not, but covers other things that Matthew did not. Are you sure you are being FAIR here to Joseph Smith to demand that all of these notes read the exact same with each other? Maybe the draft Joseph wrote early on was an attempt, but his skills to write and communicate improved over time? Surely his translation of the Book of Mormon taught him to improve literary skills. Surely publishing all of the Doctrine and Covenants revelations taught him literary skills. Later in life he was more able to do the best job at documenting the experience of the first vision with exactness and authority that was given him by the Spirit of the Holy Ghost.

    • @bookofmormonanswers
      @bookofmormonanswers  7 років тому +4

      Steve, read the whole sermon of Amulek there, not just the lying words of the lawyer who was trying to entrap him, twist the prophets words there. Amulek also talks about the SON of God who will come down and be the Savior, so you see, already, there are TWO. But He says they are ONE, because he means ONE in PURPOSE. Let's not twist this, its very clear what Amulek meant, because its all there. Joseph Smith saw two personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above him in the air. One of them spake unto him, calling him by name and said "Joseph, this is my Beloved Son. Hear Him!"
      I think it is important to know that the word "GOD" is plural (Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, all separate beings). In the Bible the Hebrew word is ELOHIM, and this is a plural noun. Look it up, this is a very old truth than many don't know because they are only looking at the ENGLISH word GOD, which looks on the surface to be a singular pronoun. Looking at the Hebrew, the original language, it is clear that the original word used (Elohim) has no such ambiguity.

    • @bookofmormonanswers
      @bookofmormonanswers  7 років тому

      good question, but a very basic answer here. Because it was a DRAFT version and not the FINAL version given in 1838. I think it is that simple. I have read the 1821 version, it is filled with mistakes, spelling errors, crossed out words, remember he did not have a word processor so you have this marked up version, even incomplete. In 1838 Joseph Smith had educated himself to the level where he could write better, spell better, and form sentences and grammar better. He put out the official FINAL copy of the documentation of His first vision in 1838. There is no mystery here. Nothing was hidden, do you include your drafts and notes when you print a final report? I know I don't. I have several versions of professional reports before the final one goes out, having undergone several reviews and revisions. The old ones are on my hard drive, but I don't publish them.

    How interesting that the LDS church teaches that in 1820 Joseph Smith had a vision of Christ and God the father, and that he ran home and told his mother...and yet this specific vision was not known by anyone until it was published by the church in 1838.

    • @bookofmormonanswers
      @bookofmormonanswers  7 років тому +6

      Joseph Smith was the one who published the vision. Not the church. He was the prophet at the time. Different versions of the same event. Have you ever written a journal? I have, and you leave stuff out, even important stuff. You are writing your random thoughts, because its not perfect. Casual attempts of Joseph to write about his experience when he was young are not the authoritative version, more like a draft. The official version was the version that Joseph Smith FINALIZED and it ended up in the scripture.

    • @bookofmormonanswers
      @bookofmormonanswers  7 років тому +6

      Something else to consider are the four gospels in the New Testament, each relating specific experiences and events of Jesus Christ and His ministry. Yet they are not the same. John didn't include the SERMON in the MOUNT, but Matthew did. Why? They differ slightly, focus on certain things, yet are compatible when one believes it, and understands that these written versions are subject to the limitations of man, his memory, his language, and his skill at writing, etc. etc. It shows that not all prophets are the same, and we can plainly see that John the Beloved covered some very specific and important things that Matthew did not, and Matthew covered the Sermon on the Mount and John did not. But they both are in the canon of scripture. Something to remember when one holds this standard up to a modern prophet who at different times in his life, separated by decades, has another focus on the same event. I have read both, they are compatible to one who has an open mind as much as they have an open mind about the four gospels in the New Testament.

      Did you know that Moses wrote the first 5 books of the Bible, Genesis, etc. and he was not there to see it personally? It was given to him by revelation. God told him what to write. He saw things in vision. He wrote the record. Now Joseph Smith being a prophet would also be told what to write by revelation and inspiration. That version of the vision that is in the scriptures? That is the official and complete inspired version. Not the attempts he made at writing things when he was so young, and not ready yet. Those interesting historical tidbits, but they were not put forth by Joseph Smith as the official version. Only that which is in the scriptures, and which the Lord blessed with His approval. Isn't that what matters? What the Lord thinks?

    • @TheMBROO
      @TheMBROO 7 років тому

      The Gospels are 4 individual people, these first vision accounts are from 1 person, so you are comparing apples to oranges. And I forget how many first vision accounts there are... like 9? And one, maybe the first story, is completely different from what the church uses today as its standard marketing tactic

    • @machupicchushow
      @machupicchushow 7 років тому

      Is the Bible a "marketing tactic?" The fact is, there are many versions of the Bible. KJV, NIV, etc etc, dozens! and nobody seems to bat an eye about it, but you are making an issue out of DRAFT versions of scripture without regard to the fact that ONE of these was the official version, the FINAL version. With your logic, nobody had better make a draft report, only go for final versions, because they would be held to account over draft versions. Its a nonsense point of view to take. You need to give Joseph Smith some space to develop his official account, his FINAL version, well thought through and remembered, rather than piece meal versions, some second hand account versions even. Be fair minded here.

      He said in the 1832 draft account, filled with numerous misspellings and mistakes (crossed out words, it was clearly a DRAFT version, unfinished) that "The Lord" spoke to him. That is true, He did. He never used the words "one personage" as you have implied. That was a specific phrase only used in the 1838 FINAL copy of his work on documenting his First Vision, and he had all of the spelling errors corrected, all the grammar corrected. Joseph Smith advanced at communications later in life (like in 1838), but he started with a 3rd grade education and one should remember this when they hold him to phd standards of writing. God does not require one to have a phd to receive revelation from Him. All it takes is faith and a willing heart.

    A question to any Mormon willing to answer, and thus satisfy my curiosity: Its been said before that Mormons doubt the reliability of The Bible as it has been passed down through the years, and many things have believed to have been altered in its texts.
    But in Luke 21:33 the Lord prophesied that "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away." Wouldn't the last part of this statement contradict the whole concept of alteration, and remain as evidence supporting the current Bible's accuracy?
    NOT trying to start an argument/flamewar/catastrophe in the comments section, I want a perspective.

    • @bookofmormonanswers
      @bookofmormonanswers  7 років тому +3

      God knows where all of his word is, and they surely will not all pass away, but all things will come true as He said through His prophets. Jesus did say that. "For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." Matt 5:18. We do not doubt the reliability of the Bible. If you would research, you will see on lds.org very clearly that we have the WHOLE of the KJV of the Bible there for all our study, and we believe it, use it, teach it. It is the word of God. SO is the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, the Pearl of Great Price, which you will also find there. They all comprise the standard works of God and are compatible, because they all came from the same source, even Jesus Christ by revelations to His prophets since the beginning of time.

      the Mormon church always has to throw in that they believe in the bible "as far as it is translated correctly." And yet God supposedly restored the "only true church" but 173 years and 15 prophets later after joseph smiths death, God still hasn't had a "correct translation." But God has had time for the current prophet to cut the red tape at the opening of a 2 billion dollar mall. The truth is, THE BIBLE has all the moral truths and instructions we need. THE BIBLE has all the wisdom and truth about Jesus Christ that we need. The Mormon church claims they restored the Gospel, but what did it Restore? Polygamy and a restriction on black skinned Africans from going to the temple, aka racism. Just look up quotes from the Journal of Discourses about racism, and you will find Mormon prophets teaching some very embarrassing things; so embarrassing that they have tried to sweep it under the rug and play it off with millions of dollars marketing themselves as mainstream Christianity. And money talks, so they have bought an image for all to see, but God isn't about the outward appearance, God judges the heart. And like I said, God has been transforming the heart of man since the beginning, long before the Mormon corporation tried to sell their brand and get rich. Well, they got rich alright, but that is not going to do them any good when they stand before God. (ALSO BIG NOTE** The Mormon Church does not even have the rights to the Joseph Smith Translation, the RLDS church does, which is now called the Community of Christ. Think about that....)

Most important of all is that Both are strong testimonies of the divinity of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

    • @bradybess7868
      @bradybess7868 6 років тому +2

      TheMBROO God does judge on the heart you are correct on that. But when the church was restored, blacks didn’t have very many rights regardless. The church gave all men regardless of color the ability to hold the priesthood once revelation was given that it should be so. Now they have had that ability for decades! And a true disciple of Christ loves all regardless of race and as a member of this church I can say that that is the case for us. Discriminating against blacks is NOT a part of church and in no way is that reflected in our church today. As far as the Book of Mormon goes, the Bible has amazing things! But do you really think that that is all God had to say to us? He wouldn’t give us any more of his words than that? He wouldn’t want us to have more of his word?

  • @bookofmormonanswers

    Juan, you seem to have very detailed items on things other than the Book of Mormon, and I really want to believe you are sincere in raising questions, but you do promote videos that teach how to basically draw away or "reach" Mormons from your points of view . Seems You might be wanting to have a friendly debate rather than an inquiry as you have alluded. You are starting with the foundation of anti Mormon talking points, and that's a formula to fail because they are usually wrong or taken out of their context both textual and cultural . If Jesus Christ ushered in the Book of Mormon, then sent his angels to also give Priesthood authority, and then commanded Joseph Smith to organize and restore his church to the earth shouldn't our discussion be about these things rather than distractions? Distractions which can also be found in the Bible? I look forward to a discussion that does not repeat the tired and old anti Mormon talking points. There are so many other more productive ways to dialog based on our personal opinions etc. that we don't need to resort to quoting blocks of text to each other. I am interested in what you really think and understand on the matter of the Book of Mormon and revelation etc

    I wonder if this song is about him seeing 3 personages, 2, 1.....guess it depends on what mood Joe was in.

      Joseph Smith had a vision, he knew it, and he knew that God knew it, and he could not deny it. I too have a testimony that he saw and heard what he said took place, and that single and authoritative account is found in the Pearl of Great Price. Critics like to point out that Joseph Smith, the CHILD, had a draft of his experience written, but fail to mention that he was literally illiterate and found great difficulty in composing a sentence. Later in life as his literacy grew, he made the attempt to FORMALIZE the account, and only he could do it. its not up to critics to find old scraps of incomplete things or attempted drafts, and to then formalize them. That's disingenuous. There is more than one way to call God. Is God the Father, or is it Jesus? Or is it the Holy Ghost? Were all three present there, surely they were, but it was Jesus Christ who spoke to Joseph Smith after the Father introduced Jesus Christ to Joseph Smith, and commanded Joseph "Hear Him!"

6, p. 473-479

      That account in the Book of Mormon is very interesting, the one with gteh lawyer Zeezrom trying to ensnare the prophets of God by twisting their words and fooling the people. Zeezrom did notice that there is a God, and that He also has a Son. SO Zeezrom noticed that there were TWO beings spoken of by the prophets. But what Zeezrom failed to understand, because he was not spiritually able to discern it, being an enemy to God, was that although God the Father and Jesus Christ are separate beings, eternal Gods, they are ONE God... one in purpose and plan of salvation. It takes TWO to make salvation for man possible, you know. You need a savior to suffer for your sins, or else mercy can not be extended to you from the Father. Justice only would prevail without a savior Jesus Christ, because you can't pay for your own sins, being unworthy. Jesus was worthy and able, even perfect. He could do this, and this is why you need him, and this is why there are TWO Gods who work together as ONE God in their Plan of Salvation.

    Joseph gave us prophesies including that the Jews would return to the land of Israel Jerusalem and rebuild the city as a sign the book of Mormon is true 3 Nephi and articles of faith. A civil war would be fought in America because of slavery Doctrine and Covenants. War would be poured out on all nations - two world wars. The Mormons would build a city of Zion - Salt Lake. He also affirmed in the book of Mormon a Temple, the Lords House would be built in the tops of the Mountains - Isaiah 2.

      And the remaining prophesies in the Book of Mormon will also come true, such as those said by JESUS CHRIST in 3rd Nephi chapters 15 on... So much about the Gentile Nation (USA) and the American Continent on which they dwell, which is the promised land. Worship of Jesus Christ is mandated by the Lord for all who live on this land or they will be swept off in the ripeness of iniquity. The House of Israel (Lamanites and Joseph/Ephraim) are also on this land. The prophesy of Jesus Christ is that the House of Israel, the remnant, will come in as a lion and tear to pieces if the Gentiles do not repent. These and many more prophesies and warnings are given in the Book of Mormon, and they are all true.

    Yeah, right! He saw a pillar of light! RIGHT! NOT! In his own handwriting, he said in his first account of his so-called first vision, that he said he saw a pillar of FIRE descending on him. Now, which version are we to believe? The one JS wrote about a pillar of fire, or the one that Brigham Young edited, which you have in your modern Book of Mormon, which says he saw a pillar of light? They can't both be true. He either saw a pillar of fire or he saw a pillar of light. Which is it, people?

      Joseph Smith was responsible for the version published, and you are making different words describing the same thing as being in conflict. He "saw a pillar of light, and WITHIN that light he saw two personages whose brightness and glory defy all description." Flame of fire surrounding them, IN a pillar of light that did descend from heaven. Both are true.
