Do you know how to make the packer go all the way in from inside the truck... Where you could dump behind the packer if your not paying attention....I did it twice but don't know how I did it...
Depends on what type of truck you drive. These ones it’s actually not even possible as the blade for the hopper only clears the hopper. The body raises to dump the load.
Interesting operation. Seems to reduce or shut off the hydraulic pressure for the ram when the truck is moving/braking. The ram could easily have a hard time keeping up with collection on a busy route.
It cuts out/reduces whenever the truck is over a certain RPM. This route is pretty spread so the truck gets over that limit between houses more than it would in a dense house-to-house subdivision where the truck would rarely go above 25 between stops.
We just got 2 new ways on Mack chassis , and yes for the recycling side def not good as it’s a pretty shallow hopper to begin with IMO , our routes are close together homes , it’s added at least an hour for me just having to stop and cycle the packer .
Is it equipped with the double stroke ?..mine is set up with intermittent pack..I can manually activate the packer if needed…and you lift chains are very loose
@barryapple70 same here, my municipality got newways now and its slower than the labrie automizer that we have by and hour, the arm is slower in all directions and the hopper is to shallow, alot of times we have to hold the can in the air to keep trash from falling out the truck when dumping
My company got 4 of these trucks and they are vastly inferior compared to the Automizers we run. Arms are so slow in and out and like you mentioned the packer shuts down when going above a certain RPM. They are ok on trash but completely useless on recycling.
The best part is when the popping and whisteling and the screaming noises start That means that the garbage bags starting to feel the pressure from the squeezer blade Does this truck not have the function to manual operate the packer ? So you can also squeeze the bags deeper and more compact the garbage more ?
bruh i accidentally disliked this when i meant to like it and i was like looking through my liked videos like, “where is that one sidewinder packer view video?” lol also good vid
In my opinion New Way’s Sidewinder has the advantage over Labrie’s Automizer & Expert HH, so I’m betting they will. Although I’ll miss those LEUs the Labries were mounted on!
Yep... and a poorly done one at that. Look at the phoney doglegs. The tower shakes directly out of the factory. Give me a Labrie any day. These things require rebushing twice a year minimum. LMAO. They're cheaper for a reason people.
I enjoy watching your videos keep making great videos I like your a lot keep making great videos I enjoy watching your videos keep making great videos

Do you know anything about those packer systems?
Thank you for responding
Awesome!

Nice catch! I operate a Sidewinder and it would be cool to have a HD view of the hopper like this lol
Thanks! Unfortunately the hopper cameras are nowhere close to HD 😂
@@hunterdawg89 not even close 🤣

How much weight can the arm pick up?
have a gud day

How many tons can it pack?
On a 31 yard body variation they average about 13 tons. Most I’ve ever seen was 15.
Amazing content! Think the city likes them enough they're gonna replace the Labries with them when they get retired?
In my opinion New Way’s Sidewinder has the advantage over Labrie’s Automizer & Expert HH, so I’m betting they will. Although I’ll miss those LEUs the Labries were mounted on!
Labries have already been replaced by these. All the main routes are done by these New Ways and the Labries are the spares to these. Glad you enjoyed!
Isn’t this basically a labrie automatizer clone

@@phoenixx_risingI agree, it's like a knock off, the arm isn't as quick and the hopper area is to shallow and the parts do look cheap

Are you picking up garbage? SAN Antonio trash cans are brown our recycling blue and organics green
15 minutes and not one milk pop ... People need to throw out more.
best packer in the industry
hardly. It's a Chinese knock off of a Labrie That's all New Way knows how to build.
