Jimmy... please check the link on your Level 3 course. When I click on the "Understanding the Grape Vine: Part 1 Anatomy WSET Level 3" it does NOT show this video, it shows the Level 4 video!!!
Hi Jimmy. I am a member of the E-learning group and just watched the crossings and hybrids video. If I understand it correctly, if you had a number of different grape varieties planted in close proximity, you might have a great number of crossing happening every year due to cross pollination by wind, insects, animals, etc., but, because the grapes containing those seeds are harvested, and the seeds never have a chance to germinate, no new variety is created? The flower that is cross pollinated is still going to produce whatever variety grape it initially was, but the resulting seed would be the result of the cross pollination.
