I have a theory here… I think when Barry expelled Thawne’s Negative Speed Force energy from him, and it went up into the sky, it must have corrupted Deon and the Still Force.

I feel like these final two episodes will be the last we see of Tom’s Reverse Flash. I think it’s evident, because this season was planned to serve as somewhat of a finale in case the show got cancelled. Plus this scene where Thawne is having a flashback of his life with Barry, could possibly foreshadow his last battle with him.
I mean the dude has done all he could to destroy Barry’s life. All that’s left is for him is to kill somebody else that’s close to Barry (my bet is Joe, since he’s no longer going to be a regular next season), and that will cause Barry to defeat him once and for all.
Even though Jesse isn't gonna be a regular, he's already confirmed to be making a few guest appearances next season. So I don't think Joe is gonna die unless they decide to have Jesse return in just flashbacks or fantasies
This is most likely one of the bigger twists of the season, Deon helping thawne definitely one of the most plot-twisting things. However still great episode, however the cgi in certain areas could have been better and the acting was pretty good.

What an amazing performance by Tom Cavanagh
Deon probably turned corrupted because Thawne created a reverse flashpoint. It messes with the natural flow of time.
Not going to explain everything about time and space, but time is meant to split up into different timeline as we live our lives and each timeline is a different space or universe which means there are multiple universes.
Time is past, present, and future. Therefore, everything is already laid out and we just have to live long enough to get there. When we make a choice, we are brought to a new timeline.
Thawne, on the other hand, messed with multiple things in a previous time in order to achieve a single outcome in a future time. Thus, this goes against how time is normally supposed to work and we get a corrupted Deon. When the Flash tried to solve this problem, it might've worsened the effects on Deon because that timeline still exists for him.

Ok this ending got me confused badly cause wasn't the cube around way before Deon(The Still Force) was born. Could maybe the Still Force we know not even be real and we haven't been introduced to it yet or it could be that Deon has gotten corrupted but something or maybe even the negative speed force somehow corrupted him and if so it corrupted the other forces most likely but that's just a theory of mine. Am I the only one who's still confused as to why Deon is reaching out to Thawne for help? What could he hope to gain? And for that reason, why is he even a bad guy now?! I thought he was good now.
This is the Negative Still Force, not the real Deon.
Maybe he was never good in the 1st place. The fact that he can see the past present future, maybe he came up with a master plan to get revenge on flash for a reason idk.
Or considering past events which messed with timelines on a different level might have affected still force 😀 and split Deon into two opposite characters with different motives, bad character being strong and dominant.
But negative still force doesn't make any sense. According to flashverse all these forces are concious Cosmic beings scattered across existence just like Marvel's phoenix force and others.
Considering still force was a being of time itself and also considering the fact that there's no such thing as negative time in physical sense even irw and also considering that traveling back in time and slowing down time is not negative or positive but neutral/constant and time flows only in one direction forming a multidimensional sphere of pathways/traces created by one single point that's traveling aka the time. The direction of this point is always the same and cannot be changed.the only thing that can be tampered with are the intersections of pathways/traces of time. So from all the above things, negative still force doesn't make sense even in fictional science if this still force is a pure being of time and if time is considered as an abstract entity which is cyclic in nature.
At the end it depends on writers will and logic.

I've had one general complaint since the beginning, well not QUITE the beginning but mostly. The thing is...Eobard Thawne, yea he's not just fast. He's been shown to be equal to EVERY Flash that has ever existed, and in most cases actually FASTER and not just by a little bit...hes A LOT faster. In fact he may be the fastest being in the entirety of comic history. He's also a living paradox...Basically he's impossible to ever actually beat fully. I think I vaguely remember something about Barry stealing his powers eventually and him dying...but I also think I remember him still coming back...since he has no past and no future to distort he's basically endless. But the beef with the show has always been that aside from the first season when he was quite clearly vastly superior to Barry, his speed wasn't really where it should be (for obvious reasons, they have to nerf him while Barry is still expanding his powers so he doesn't win instantly). I do think it's neat that when Zoom was bragging all about how he's the fastest there ever was or will be and clearly dominating Barry with pure speed, that little line after he killed a time remnant of his to fool the team: Cisco asks if it was a speed mirage and Zoom replies "a speed mirage? No, even in not THAT fast" (essentially saying no one is fast enough to occupy to places at the exact same moment). Yet Cisco asked that specific question because Cisco has actually seen someone capable of doing that, and doing it without any real effort...back in season 1. Wells (Thawne) confronts Cisco as Cisco just figured out that Wells is the Reverse Flash, and he asks him how there were two of them fighting each other at the same time and Thawne holds up a finger all condescendingly with a smirk and just occupies two places at once and says "it's an after image, a speed mirage if you will". And he did it so easily that you don't really grasp how much faster he was than everyone else.
The downside of that was that if he's fast enough to create a speed mirage he is clearly fast enough to meet the speed requirements to enter the speed force, yet his connection had been severed and so he couldn't enter into it to travel through time. So he clearly HAD the speed required, but somehow couldn't access his speed force at the same time. I guess it can be explained away by circumstance and his paradoxical nature...but really I think it was just the writers of the show not knowing what to do with him in any real sense.
I love how thawn began season 8 and ended the season... looking forward to cobalt blue hopefully

It cannot because the timeline changed most of the events before s6 aren't even the same due to crisis also in this universe dark matter & lightening created the flash . The future flash did not travel back and become the lightening.
@@pthespidey5057 In an old comic storyline, Barry does go back in time and is the lightning bolt that gave birth to both The Flash and the Speed Force.
Its in Secret Origins Annual #2, published in 1988. So there is precedent where it could happen.

Excuse me what? How did they reason that? In the books all the other forces are contained beyond the Source Wall and it entered the universe once the team up of heroes and villains destroyed the source wall to progress the DC Universe into the next stage.

So deon is gonna prob have thawn get his speed back , mess with the time line and kill flash but comes back and gets revenge with the other still force and destroys the negative speed force (flash and his mom ) then boom show over
There are so many bomb shells in this episode. I kinda knew that when Thawne was talking to someone it was Devon they kinda gave that away and i saw it in one of the promos before i actually watch this episode. I am hoping they can deliver on theses bomb shells. Instead of what they did to John diggle’ s destiny being a wasted opportunity.

Yea, I’m curious too. In Armageddon event, He gave Barry power of the still force so Barry could go to the future to stop Thawne. My theory: this is the negative still force / Deon. The good Deon might be trapped somewhere after he tried to helped iris a few episodes before
