The record holder is the 275 Trophy-R, not a "regular" Trophy like this one ofc. Btw, it's pretty obvious that Renault Sport was already developing the 275s way before the 280 Cupra lapped the Ring.

We don't know what time did Megane RS 275 Trophy on the Ring. I think it could have beatten Seat but the difference was to small so they needed something extra like R version to set a bigger gap in between.
I'm looking at buying one but what should i look out for in these RS 250 and 265 and 275's? the ripped bucket seats? if its been tracked? serviced on time etc? and is the 275 much better than the other 250's and 265's much better aside from a bit more power?
Seems to me Renault are just fettling with what was already a great car. I think overall your really better off buying the older Megane RS250 and sticking a remap on it which will take power to around 295... Saves you a massive wedge of money and will beat the 275 trophy anyway.

Anyone gone from a Fiesta ST to this as an upgrade? Not referring to power specifically, but driver feel, handling and how engaging of a drive it is. I haven't driven a car that's as precise and on point as the ST, but I think the Megane might just be if not just as good, a lot better..
I have. Megane is a more capable car but at lower speeds in the street, Fiesta is better and more willing to wag it's tail. Megane has much higher limits and the diff is magic.

I sold my mint 06 rev up 350z last year and just put down a deposit for a 2013 megane rs 265 cup... believe it or not the megane is slightly quicker than the 350z and more comfy. It revs way faster than the 350z and throttle is more sensitive in sport mode. I cant wait to get my car next week!!

Brilliant car , no doubt . If i had to choose between a type r and a 300 trophy . I would Take the Renault in a hart beat , on the looks alone . Because when it comes to power and handling , it's to close to matter really .

I wasn't aware a brand as lame as Seat has so many fanboys to make fun of Megane after it "lost" the record. Who cares. It's still a better drivers car in every way. Lap time is not everything, even though Leon cheated as well, you can't actually buy the car in the spec that it was used in...while...you CAN buy the Megane 275 R version. Everything that made the Seat fast was made by VW anyway, Seat get's little credit for it. Megane is also an old car...it's 7-8 years old pretty much with some tweaks. Seat is brand new in every way. Don't worry....next Megane will be a hybrid, it will have a petrol + electric engine, and it will probably have 4 wheel steering like the Laguna GT has...then it will take another 6-7 years for others to catch up. That's just a fact.

Where is the limit of the traction control, can it be disabled, what does the lsd do, does it tuck into corners under power more.... Such a poor poor boring review ...

Renaults are bad quality cars. French cars in general are horrible. They had to exit the US market and never have been able to come back.

Old Megane was 20 seconds per lap faster than RS500 at Nurb.
