Thank you so much for this video. Expecting a Big 4 offer (got the verbal confirmation phone call), and am debating leaving my current job for a consulting role and these videos are gold from an insight perspective
It is also noteworthy to mention the Big4 staff levels that are mentioned, this is mainly specific to the US. You also have senior manager positions in the Big4 in other parts of the world outside of the US. In the US the director level is more of a calendar promotion and not as a junior partner in other parts of the world. Being promoted to partner in like Europe is more typical at the age of 37 to 40 years. So important to manage it differs across the various global member firm locations. Great video for junior Big4 staff levels.
Yeah this process is also specific to Australia and New Zealand. Note this is for risk consulting/internal audit and not just audit which I think you might be talking about. I know for audit there are senior associates etc as well.
I recently accepted a full time offer from one of the big four firms in the US. Will be working in assurance line of service as an associate. Your vids are very helpful!!
I left big 4 after 11 months experience immediately after being promoted to experienced associate. I have joined Aramco. And I am not sure if I made the right decision or no
Hi Sanjna, I’ve been accepted for the PWC program. Your video and talks were very helpful, thank you so much again.😄😄btw, the program is for trust and assurance, you are very inspirational for me.
I love your videos in this topics so much! They motivate me a lot! I even started some additional online courses outside the uni to get better understanding of some stuff that was not covered during classes 😍 and of course I'm sending my CVs so maybe even in this difficult times I'll be able to find some part time job in finance 😌 if not I'll have to hussle in June/July after graduation 🙈
Thank you so much Magda! You are honesty so supportive of my content! lots of love to you! oh woww congrats on doing that - it will be so good for you in the future! I love that you are taking control of your life and career and doing everything you can to get ahead! Good luck with everything and all the best! :) xx
Thank you for sharing~ This is helpful~ I’m going to take my last few ACCA exams soon and I hope to know more about working as an accountant and working in Big 4.
Hi Jade, best of luck for your exams. Hi Sneha, I'm perusing my Acca and bcom and wil be staring my job at KPMG this coming July. You can do ACCA directly after 12th grade but I recommend doing it along with a bachelor's degree.
Hi guys. I am an ACCA Finalist about to write my final paper. I would definitely recommend doing ACCA. Along with the professional qualification, you can get a BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University UK. Good luck. 👌
Hi Sanjna, really want to thank you for making such informative videos. Tbh, my career is pretty much paused at the moment due to the current situation. But I’m hoping things will get better soon and I’ll get to apply all wonderful information I have learned from you :)
Hi Sanjana. Thanks for doing this video. I am sort of planning a move after 2 years to Canada. At the moment I am working as an external auditor at a Big 10 firm (their main head office is situated in London, UK) and completed my first audit season and about to start the second season and have about 1 year of experience. By the time I move, I will have 3 years of experience, so will I be able to transit to consultancy or banking? I am currently working on a big leasing/financing company and this client will be allocated to me throughout the entire period of 3 years.
Hi Tasbiha! I think that having 3 years of experience under your belt puts you in a good position to obtain great opportunities elsewhere and definitely in consulting. I suggest looking at applying once you have reached the 2-2.5year mark and see how you go with the opportunities.
Hi Sanjna , I am recently recruited as a Business Risk Consultant at EY. Your video was very helpful to know day to day activities in Risk Management. Can you plz guide on what to prepare or learn before joining the role? Some impt skills/software which will be required?
Honestly it is all learning on the job. The fact that you have been accepted means the organisation has accepted your currency skills and will train you further. All I can recommend is being up to date with the news and perhaps learning a bit of excel :) Good luck!
Not necessarily, there are so many avenues that one can go through - most jobs in the consulting/advisory can be mixed and match. Many of the skills are transferrable.
Hi Sanjna. Great work. I have a query, I have dropped out of my CA and I hold experience in Transfer Pricing at KPMG. Do you know what alll exit opportunities are available?
I would suggest speaking to someone who has left transfer pricing and ask them about the opportunities available. I can only provide examples for risk/audit sorry.
oooh congrats! I believe it is the innovation team, but not entirely sure. This team is usually responsible for AI, intelligence and technology type work. A few things I found just from researching is Data strategy and analytics maturity assessment, Information management, Data engineering, Data warehousing, business intelligence (BI) and data visualisation, Data science, advanced analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) and Cloud-based analytics services. Hope that helps! :)
@@successbysanjna ooh dang. That sounds ... Like a lot of work I have definitely done ! I guess they will teach me (I was a campus recruit ) Still very excited to start working starting from Jan 4th, just a bit worried about my work life balance.

Hey Sanjna
Have you considered making a video about what goals Graduates should have e.g ( Career Progression vs learning opportunities vs money)
Great idea! I'll have a look into it
yes
Hey Sanjna, do you it's possible to move from like big4 in Asia to big4s in countries like Australia?
Yes offcourse! You would need to look into the mobility scheme and see how that works :)
What do you mean by a mobility scheme?
