- Hi guys, welcome back to my channel :)
In this video I will be unboxing and doing a mini review of the Spear & Jackson Pole Hedge Trimmer.
I will also be putting it to use in my own garden and see if it really does reach the top of my tall hedges.

Nice review, thank you.
Great review bro!!
Thanks brooo!!
I bought this same pole trimmer for about £60. Must've been lucky to see something like that at a car boot sale. For some reason the one I have when you extend the pole further it doesn't lock into place but keeps sliding down, and I've locked it according to the locking symbol on the pole but it doesn't seem to lock. It does a really good job at cutting, but it says that you need to clean it after each use and use grease, no idea why as my other hedge trimmer I never had to do that. I bought it specifically to trim a really tall conifer tree (probably about 20 feet high) that was too difficult to reach with ladders, and even with a pole trimmer you still need to climb steps as it's that tall.
cool stuff
That was epic
Thanks 😊
In the two years since this video what has been your experience with this hedge trimmer in terms of reliability, any problems, and ease of use?
What decided you to buy this particular make and model? Was it the Spear & Jackson brand name or the fact that few long reach trimmers nowadays have a cable instead of a battery?
It’s been great, no issues. Very reliable. The only thing is that when using for a long time your arms can start to ache when your using the trimmer to cut taller hedges as it can be heavy. The brand name mainly and the fact it did exactly what I wanted, to cut tall hedges that are at a 90 degrees angle. I’m not really fussed about cables or battery so that did not really bother me.
@@MrJunedj That's very reassuring, thanks!
How do you take it apart? Can't figure it out
Theirs a lever on the handle, which you press to make it longer or smaller. You can’t exactly take the whole thing apart. See the user manual if you need help.
@@MrJunedj Sorry I meant when you first get it, it comes in 2 parts to put it together. I need to take it apart to get back in the box. Hope that makes sense
