Why would one side of the car be super green and the other isn't?
If you aren't subscribed, help us get to 500k!
They must of had been sitting close to another car or was partly covered
first thought is the ☀☀☀☀
Moss grows on the north side of things. Good to know when hiking if you get lost
Moss and mould grows more when an area doesn't get much sunlight. That side must have been shaded by the sun for the most part each day.
@@Scottie2hottie1122 correct!
The side of the car that faced the north would have the moss growing on it since the sun doesn't usually directly hit it. Another great video!
Interesting!
Bingo. It's all about the car's N/S orientation that determines how the moss accumulates,.
Definitely thought the same…same as my house 😂
@@WDDetailing it's how you find your way in the woods when you're lost.
Moss doesn't always grow on the north side, but that's ususlly where it is. The reason it doesn't grow in dierect sun is, the heavy uv radiation kills them, as well as bacteria and other micro-organisms. Hence the term, "sunlight is the best disinfectant". (Used also as a phrase reffering to transparency in government or business.)
The power washing on this car was so satisfying to watch!!! Thanks for another great vid.
Glad you enjoyed!
What a beautiful car. I miss Pontiac so much. I would buy another Trans Am if I could.
Excellent job guys 🎉😊
Agreed on the sunlight exposure. I bet the interior plastic and fabrics are more faded when viewed from that direction as well.
Thats amazing. This car could have been sent to scrap but now it will for sure be fixed and back on the road. Thats the best level of recycling. Awesome work.
Great job, guys 🙂 What a transformation. As a car detailer myself here in Norway, I also polish the inside of the hood when I do the cleaning of the engine bay, and espesially if the car skall be listed for sale. When it comes to the gas cap, it seems like we have the same tecnique going. Best regards
theres only 3 things that a newer car has been parked that long for is 1. it doesnt run 2. the owner passed away .3.the person got locked up for a very long time ...
maybe all 3...
Possible. Or owner met with an accident.
I love how RJ just pauses after the windshield wiper falls off 😂😂
Northern hemisphere. I learned about moss growth in 3rd grade. But you learned UA-cam comment algorithms in your first video!😂
I recently started watching you guys. Really enjoy your content. Very relaxing to watch the transformations you do. I particularly like the older cars since I am older - at least older than either of you. I have been watching a lot of your old videos playing catch up. It’s amazing how fast your subscriber count has grown.
Well im 18 and im into old cars since i was a kid... Muscle cars are the Best by my opinion 💪😁
This is how I fall asleep at this point in life. I'm 33 but have a love for late 80's and early to mid 90's tuner cars. Having said that I'd sell my Honda in a heartbeat for some classic muscle.
WOW what a transformation, that car is in great condition.
Great job guys! These G6's are usually Swiss cheese.. this car was obviously someone's pride and joy. From the wear on the drivers door kick plate and rubber trim, guessing an older person who dragged their feet in and out. It sold cheap to someone and first time it failed they could not afford to fix it. Or at least thats my backstory guess. Haha Even the headlights aren't cloudy.. hope it gets a good owner. Thanks for the great content.. keep up the good work 👏
Do you all ever get the back story on any of the vehicles it would be interesting to know why like this Pontiac G6 was sitting for 5 years obviously it was in good shape so why did someone leave it sitting?
Anything’s possible. Owner could have passed away or maybe it sat because of a divorce dispute over who got the car. Sometimes it takes years to settle disputes like that
Hello from Germany! Good job guys! Im always looking forward to saturday when you release your new Video. I like your detailling!😉 Alles Gute für Euch !!!!!!!!
moss/northside
There is something almost spiritual about cleaning a vehicle. I would love to work for you guys. Your music choices for the video tells me would get along beautifully.
The side with the most moss was facing north. It's a great lesson to know if you're ever lost in a forest.
Check out flat earth and you'll realize there is no phenomenon
Great Work as always Guys keep the Grind Up
Temporary cure for my anxiety!! Neat job guys
The side with the most moss was not getting any sunlight but the other side apparently was.. Another great transformation! You guys rock!
Huge effort, great result.
I’m just adding to a comment already made about the mold. It’s been a common belief/understanding over years and years that mold grows on the North side of trees and buildings due to the lack of sun. I’ve actually dealt with this on a house I lived in for 10 years. Every summer/fall I’d have to power wash the North side because of the green mold. This theory is also taught to and by survival experts in case you’re ever lost in the wilderness and need to get a general idea of which way North is by looking for the mold on the sides of trees.
That is one plus of living in Las Vegas, since it's the desert we don't have to deal with mold or moss. Good work on this one!!!
Your question can be answered by always asking “how did runaway slaves in the south know which way was north?” Moss on trees primarily grows on the coolest side, which in our country is the north side. Love your vids!
Insane transformation! The car went from green to white on the outside😂 Keep up the good work!
Haha thank you!
IT LOOKS BRANDNEW!!!
Great job!! Greetings from Holland! 🌷🌷🌷
Great job Brent your so good at your job!
The sun 🌞 hitting that side
feeling a bit depressed , gonna watch WD detailing videos. They are so relaxing in some way
I have a Pontiac g6 that I daily and you made it look better then mine 😅
This video has me missing my Grand Am... I LOVED that car so much.
Great job!
I'm so glad you guys started vacuuming out the cowls in front of the windshields. It used to drive me crazy watching you guys make a soupy mess trying to powerwash that stuff out!
One of the best transformations I’ve seen
Good job
Thus g6 cleaned up very nicely
My gas cap cleaning method: Apc 1:4 dilution, spray evrything, rub it in with a soft detail brush, blow it clean with either a pressure washer or steamer and later always touchless drying with a leaf blower
moss grows from the north.
North side=more moss. Taught me that in school 60 years ago. Awesome job once again. Looking forward to Robbie Layton coming out to pick up the 57 Chevy.
Belíssimo trabalho 👏❤️ muito bonito o Pontiac ❤️❤️❤️
This was a good one 👍🏻
Nice video..
The moss growing is because of the sun
Does Pontiac still makes cars today? I was thinking they were dead.
That is one of the most satisfying video you ever made
Nope, Pontiac bit the dust in 2011; so it's gone along with Saturn, Hummer, Oldsmobile, Mercury, and Plymouth. It's still pretty sad that as the years go by we see fewer and fewer vehicles by these car brands on the road.
great video super detail
Great job as usual….thing is actually in really nice condition ☝️👊💪
Isso sim que é higienizar um automóvel, estou aprendendo. Parabéns!
Hello, wow wow and wow.
Nice video and nice car!!! 👍
i love what you doing guys! this video was super satisfying, only the thing is that the paint got old and colour is no longer white white.
WOW, WOW, WOW!!!👍👍👍😁😁😁
Awesome job guys A+++!Rondo
Nicely done guys 👍😁
So I take it you didn't do the Boy Scout thing when you were younger? 😁 Really cleaned up nice, it definitely had a good base to start with.
NICE JOB
Green on north side, just like moss grows on north side of a tree.
The North/West side gathers more moss, it's the same on trees.
excellent job ,bravo
Do you buy these cars you find or get them free? I'm still hooked on that Catalina you transformed. Really enjoy watching your videos.
Looks really good
I have a 07 GT. After almost 4 years, I removed the front license holder. Looks better :)
Can I ask what is the solution you use on the prewash? I use super clean 10-1 mix on my Nissan frontier truck, I just feel it's not doing enough work to loosen up heavy build-up dirt.
wD detailing and stauffer garage should do a video that would be my dream come true make it happen 🤙
Sooo satisfying 😍😍 it makes me want my car done! I wish you were in Minneapolis!
GM used those rivets on all their cars with plastic bumpers as far as I know. And yes you're right they are permanent, so drilling them out is the only way.
What a find. 90% of Pontiac G6's have severe rocker panel rust! Also, these motors were bulletproof!
Good job ..👍😉🇮🇹
I think the car came out really good if under a car to drive around then once you get it all taken care of thanks for the video
When cleaning the engine bay two questions: 1. What product do you recommend and 2. Is there anything you should do to protect the engine? Disconnect the battery? Avoid water on certain parts? Etc.
I have a white 05 bought new currently has 90k and I’d never do that to a car 🥺 Pontiac Forever ♾️ . Fantastic job 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍
The front license plate bracket was installed on that G6 because the car was going to be sold in a state that required a car to be registered with two license plates. (Ohio used to be one of those states, but not anymore.) My 2015 Cruze was built at the GM Lordstown (Ohio) plant, but it doesn't have a front plate bracket, as it was sold new in Pennsylvania, where only one plate is registered per vehicle rather than two.
My theory on the side with the moss is, that side was facing northeast. Not much natural sunlight ever hits on that direction, have it be a house, shed or car.
I use to drive one of these exact Pontiac g6s.. the one I drove for a year or so was a greenish color. Insane to see how good this car looked . Before it sat, it was well taken care of. The paint looked amazing once it was pressure washed, and the interior looked good too. I wonder what happened?
Im enjoying youre content my friend, i liked so much to watch youre video, cause i have same car
That steering wheel airbag is about to pop tho
HY I LOVE my 86 Trans am.
a stepped drill bit might work better when drilling out rivets, a twist drill tends to screw in and grab and spin.
Magnifique
Good job wide the car
All moss grows on the north side of anything anywhere if permanent or left stationary for extended and long periods of time.
both of you have such nice yams... what a way to make the videos even better, with a little "yam focus" lol
Been detailing nearly 40 years and I clean the gas cap area same as you. I do clean the wheels very last. I do not want dirty water and debris dripping onto the clean wheels. So I clean the entire outside of the vehicle before cleaning the wheels.
The answer to the video question about moss on one side versus the other is photosynthesis if there's some more sun exposure on one side versus the other the green will grow more
"Moss will grow on the 'north' side of the tree" is something they taught us in camp to help navigate. Therefore, the one side that had moss was facing north.
عملكم أحبه 😍 أكثر من رائع
Thanks for this video my 06'G6 is just like this one except mine is silver that one will make a great car.
Nice job. I have that little pad on a plastic stick to do the inside of the windshield... LOL
Hey never diss a Pontiac the performance division of General Motors provided some of the most iconic cars of our time. Such as Smoky and the Bandit (Fire Bird) GTO etc. They were forced to close as part of the government rescue. My G8 GXP still leaves much more expensive cars in the dust and looks awesome as well. Good job on the detail the G still looks good...
I like the dialogue between all of you. All of you guys have fun personalities and it shows that you really enjoy what you are doing. Why do you not remove the carpet and door panels on flooded vehicles? The amount of disgust underneath is usually pretty overwhelming.
Good.jop 👍👍👍👏👏👏😄😄😁
Moss usually grows in shaded areas or on the side “not facing the sun”. In the northern hemisphere the south facing side won’t grow as much moss because the sun exposure on that side dries us up most of the moisture needed for it to grow.
Great video. I wonder how the paint would have looked with a shot of fallout cleaner....lol
When drilling out large rivets, use a 2.5 mm or 3 mm first then finish with the final sized drill you need.
And the prevailing wind carries dust and spores as well.
North is moss and always helps you find your way out of the trees
Great video guys. Love the music too.
Can someone tell me what floor system they are using in their shop?
I clean my gas cap area with spilled gas ⛽️ 😆
* Hey guys! Don't forget to hit that like button, comment, share this video and subscribe. It really helps the channel a lot. Thanks! *
I think that you have more green algee on one site of the car, is becors of the wind blowing from the same direction
I also believe the reason for the gteen moldon one side and not the other is that side was probably more subject to whether like rain and sunshine
One side was parked facing North, allowing more moss and lichen growth.
