Why does everyone say if your riding on the road you shouldn't do the desmog to the KTM? I ride my ktm 500 exc-f both off and on road. Since I am on the road from time to time then I shouldn't do the desmog?

Depends on the state and emissions law. If you remove, you could be in violation
