I feel the lack of a pre-season with Celtic has harmed him a bit this season. Playing a bit of catch up with the rest but he does have alot to offer this team.
I said even last season, that Idah looks scared on the pitch. He doesn't know where he's meant to be. Then in the Summer, Celtic initially offered £4m for the guy, Norwich wanted £5m. There was a couple of weeks of too and fro, then nothing. It seemed it had all cooled off. Into the last week of the window, Celtic suddenly pop up with this £9m bid for the guy, and £11m for Engles. All it was, was Celtic flexing their financial muscle. It wasn't anything more than that. They wanted to show they had the clout to go out and spend big money. Unfortunately, they've spent that money poorly. Idah is useless. He's a £2m player, at very best. They spent £9m on him, he should be their main Striker this season, and be expected to score upward of 30 goals. If a guy like Shankland can scorer 30 last season, for Hearts, then a £9m Striker should be expected to at very least, equal that. He shouldn't be a back up, he shouldn't be sat on the bench, he should be starting games, and bagging Hattricks for fun in Scotland. Engles is another one. Celtic have spent £11m on a guy to take penalties, because he's offered very little else, both domestically, or in Europe.
Engels makes team of the season currently... Belgian call ups galore also. All at only 21, he was bought for next season as well - talk about a bonus. Maybe football isn't for you, probably thought he was rubbish against RB Leipzig too 😂 Idah has scored 5 goals in the equivalent of 6 games, btw. Not bad for a second choice striker.
idah showed he can be a 10 million player at the start of the year mate he was playing like giakoumakis if not better winning us a cup and scoring important goals, he'll get his chance to prove when kyogo's needing a rest and hes still young. As for engels there must be something about him if the belgian manager, clement and rodgers is saying he has that something special
@@lf67hh28 Who's team of the season(so far) is Engles in? He started the season well, looked dangerous against the lesser teams in our league who, anyone who was already at Celtic looked good against. He's done nothing, mate, other than score a couple of penalties. Football's for me. Who is it Idah has scored against? They didn't spend £9m on a boy they were initially offering £4m for to score goals in Scotland, and win them the league, you spend that money on a guy to score goals in Europe, and improve their overall standing, and he's not delivered. Compare him to Kuhn, who cost £3m? That was money well spent. Idah will be sold by the end of next season, and they'll have to accept a loss on him, because he's never worth anywhere near £9m.
@@haggisneepsandhatates5892 He's never shown he's anywhere near worth £9m. Celtic didn't think he was worth £9m at the start of the window, when they offered £4m for him, and Norwich(whom he wasn't even getting a game at, because he wasn't good enough) rated him at £5m. What happened between the opening weeks of the transfer window, and the closing week to more than double Celtic's valuation of the player? I'l tell you exactly what happened. Fans were getting unsettled at the lack of signings, and they went out to show they could spend money. that was it. There is zero chance that when they look to sell Idah, that they'll get a profit. They'll make a loss, because he's very simply, not a good Striker. You spend £9m on a guy to do it in Europe, you don't need to spend £9m on a guy to win the league, the players Celtic already had were more than capable of that. Engles might turn good, but he's another they'll struggle to get a profit for. £11m? Had they spent £3m on him, they could maybe look for £12m when they sell him, but some of the figures i've seen from Celtic fans, in terms of what they expect to get when they sell him, are utterly ridiculous. I've seen figures upward of £40m being mentioned. No chance. Compare those two to Kuhn, who is looking an absolute steal at £3m. He's a guy they can expect a hefty profit on when he's sold.
@scottw.3258 He's featured in the team of the week 5 times in 8 domestic games 😂 - based on current form, he will have to be in team of the year. He also performed fantastically in 2 of our 4 Champions League games. As for Idah, he's scored in the Champions League, League, and Cup - that means he's scored in every competition he's played in this season. (Plus, he's scored internationally, too). Now, given he's not yet fit, and his return is 5 goals in 6 games across all comps... I'd suggest he's doing just fine. 😂🤷♂️
He's played 6.17 games for Celtic and scored 5 goals.
He'll do just fine.
He’s an international striker? The same thing was said about Maeda a year ago and those doubters ran for the hills.
If Maeda couldnt run he would be nowhere near the team as his crossing and shooting is wild to say the least.
We bought daizen as a ST and Kyogo as a winger! Turned out jst fine!
Thank god he's no a coach 😂
I'm Sure He didn't see anything either. When He scored the last minute winning goal against Rangers.

It's nearly December. 😂
Would've won fcukawl last year without his goals
I saw a cup final winning goal to seal a double not that long ago
