All these people spreading hate and criticizing...jazz fusion is improvisational music, so there isn't a rule book that says, "You must play covers this way." Come on, people, these guys played their hearts out and did pretty freaking good at it too! If they feel satisfied with their performance, and are constantly striving to get better, then I think encouragement will go a lot further than criticism. If they literally played everything incorrectly from the original then I would understand, but these guys did a heck of a job covering a very difficult piece of music...let's give them some love, not hate!
That being said, I loved the cover, guys! Keep up the good work!

I liked what they attempted to do but it was a bit sloppy.
I've recently been to a Snarky concert in Rio and they performed the ~first minute in slow tempo as well. The transition feels awesome

Why is there so much bitching in these comments? Does anyone know how hard it is to cover a snarky puppy song is? No onewill have a snarky puppy groove. These guys have their synergy and Snarky has theirs. If you wanted to hear some shit that sounded like the original then listen to the original. These guys had fun and while there were a few things that could have grooved better for my taste it is small nitpicks that are subjective. People keep saying "They should have done this and that" as if this isn't a JAZZ COVER... You guys are trying to hear Snarky Puppy sound where there is no Snarky Puppy. Smh everyone's a professional critic. You guys had a unique twist on this and I can tell you guys spent time on getting this to sound exactly how you wanted. There aren't many full band covers to entire scores like this. Much respect!

Bravo guys. As the self-proclaimed world's biggest Snarky Puppy fan, I confess that I listened to the end and enjoyed it almost as much as a live Snarky Puppy performance. :-)
When I discovered this I first thought "Oh no it's impossible to cover SP", but these musicians are wonderful. If they came out to my town I would join the gig at once.

I honestly don't understand all the hating around the drumming in this cover. Ok, this guy doesn't have the amazing groove Snarky Puppy's drummer got, but hey men : they are not Snarky Puppy. They are fans, and they probably play it best than many of us (for those who ever tried to cover this song).

Its unique. Its got energy. Harness those funkier vibes and i see some great upcoming artists here.
Kudos to the drummer, several parts it got a little sloppy especially at around 7:30 but it's tough to keep time without hitting anything. If I can recommend one thing it would be get yourself a snom. It's an absolute staple in all of the SP drummer's (Larnell,Sput, and JT) arsenal.
