    Honestly the tape doesn't look as bad as perceived. Its clear that he sees everything but is hesitant and doesn't fully trust it (hence the pumps). Even on the dropped picks Im not too mad over the throws, tight window throws that are possible to make. Didn't help that he had to run for his life every other play but Im glad he got meanigful reps. Hopefully he corrects these mistakes and puts together a solid next 2 games. Really pulling for him, just gotta improve and stay ready if his number gets called.

      They ran the same play action pass the 49ers are known for over and over again without running the ball.

      The best analysis I’ve seen. All the fans saying he can’t read a defense or he processes the field too slow when it’s clear to me it’s just his confidence, sure there will be some coverages he won’t know yet or hasn’t seen but that’s not the issue. He’s processing his reads just fine, his feet are in sync with his eyes, and they’re pretty accurate throws, but unless you have the full confidence to confirm what you see with your eyes, it’s not gonna string together properly. I believe he will improve throughout the next two games

      That’s completely false. The tape is terrible. He miss read a zone cover 2 read ore snap, caused one of the sacks. Missed a linebacker dropping in coverage. Absolutely terrible showing. These weren’t even exotic defensive looks they were giving him. In a real high stakes game he would be eaten alive

    I'm not a Trey hater, but man this actually really highlights how good Brock really was last season. The poise, decision making, confidence that kid has. Also this is sorta not fair considering this is pre-season, Trey is playing with the B and C team. When you got CMC, Kittle, Trent, Aiyuk, Deebo all out there, the defense is not going to be as tight.

    • @mathewbaxter3443
      @mathewbaxter3443 Рік тому +1

      How??? Brock played with the best offensive roster in football. It’s impossible to compare them accurately by watching trey with the back up back ups compared to Purdy playing with cmc and kittle. 2 players Lance never started a game with. Purdy is overrated and Lance is underrated. This will play out in a few years.

Maybe he’s doing it too fast for people to see. But I will say he was a second to late because the pass wasn’t bad (in Kyle voices). Also I guess we don’t see that defender right in his face??

    Some of the misses where and on the second sack I kinda want him to let it rip, but this looks like more of someone who’s playing through the mental part of post injury particularly his finger injury. With guys in his lap on 3 step drops him protecting himself makes sense. Also seeing how the backup d-line did.

    As a Raiders fan watching this for the defensive schemes and play positions, I feel for Trey. Needs to really get in to gear in correcting his pocket presence & sensing pressure off the edge faster. Doesn't help their line kinda fighting for the lives with how hard the Raiders are pressuring

    • @kelbystephens1517
      @kelbystephens1517 Рік тому

      Dumb bro. Race has nothing to do with it. People like you bringing up the race card, when Brock Purdy was a stud from the get go. Trey is talented, yes. In fact, he is exactly what Shanahan (white guy) drafted him to be: a mobile passing quarterback. But the truth is, if he were better than he’d be starting. So far, Purdy is the starter. Don’t think a white GM and a white head coach would draft a black quarterback, just to suppress him on the sidelines due to his race. You sir, are the reason racism is still around; because you like to bring it up when there is a disadvantage towards a person of color that you happen to see. Wake up, find God, and quit playing victim.

    • @kelbystephens1517

      Most people, white, black, or whatever want to see this young man succeed. The same “sports talk shows” you see nowadays are the same people that talk down on Ryan Leaf (white), Tony Romo (dominantly white), Kirk Cousins (white), Mac Jones (white), Jimmy Garrapollo (the dude the let go in part of Lance), Jared Goff (white), Daniel Jones…. The list goes on. Just wanted to throw that in there, since everything is about suppressing the black man to you

    If you came to bash Trey then I question the kind of fan you are. These players on the field are depth pieces. There will be key injuries and without depth you don't win championships. McKivitz is already a mid tackle, Trent will have his injury issues, Kittle... well his nickname is George Brittle and I can go on and on. But hey at least Trey didn't look his best and the 3rd rounder kicker missing chip shots, none of the back up linemen are developing. None of that matters it's all about Trey in an 11 on 11 game🤷🏿‍♂️

    Not as bad as it looked watching live. Still not good though. But to be expected after not played a game in 11 months & coming off major injury. If it looks like more of the same next week, I will reluctantly resign to the idea of Trey as #3. He needs to be better, period.
