    Wow…this is one of the best videos I’ve seen about pruning atemoya tree. That is quite some saw, just amazingly sharp 🤩Your trees now look so different and beautifully ready for the new season. Love your lateral branches. Thank you for sharing all the great tips for atemoya tree pruning 👍❤️

    Thank you, Thien!!!
    This is my 3rd time trimming my aetymoya. I’ve watched a few videos and saw how you carefully considered how to trim. I did it!! Proud of my work with your guidance.
    Now, please make sure you continue the next steps. I’d like to know how often to water, and how you pollinate to maximize fruit production.
    Can’t wait to see you ongoing progress. Appreciate your sharing!
    Thank you!

    Great vid. Super informative and nice to see the before and after shots. A shot into the dark you ever have seeds and wouldn't mind sending some I would pay for delivery. I'm in Vietnam and we have barely any of these nice looking varieties.

    Hello Thien, do you trim your trim in September when the fruits are growing in size? Is it a good idea to trim away the extra branches and leaves that have no fruits, so the nutrients will oncentrate and go into fruits on the tree. Thank you.

    Hey thien i live in la. Can I hire you to teach me pruning etc for a day? I have a pretty big atemoya that was overgrown. I want to shrink it down to a manageable height. The tree was originally my moms and she didn’t know how to prune. I’m taking over all the gardening and learning the correct techniques.

    Hi! Thanks for this informational video! I noticed that my atemoya tree has several branches growing out of the trunk that are parallel to it (totally vertical) and there are several branches that are horizontal growing from them. Do I trim the vertical branches? They almost look like another tree trunk. Thanks for your help!

  • @phanatix721
    @phanatix721 Рік тому

    Instead of creating all the vertical branches,could u just trim short and those vertical branch sprout horizontal branch? As long as you also look at the height you f the tree?

    • @TnTranN
      @TnTranN  2 роки тому

      I keep mine to a manageable height so I can reach and hand pollinate the flowers. I would top it off at a desirable height and start training side branches for future crops.

    Hello,
    I've been watching some of your videos. You are doing excellent job at growing and caring your atemoya trees. Your trees are producing lots of fruits.
    I see you are pruning trees very early.
    I would love to get some of your scions of atemoya . I live in Atlanta, ga.
    I can pay you for your efforts and scions.
    Thank you much in advance
    ... great works

      They don’t tolerate any frost without dropping all fruit and leaves. I’m in much warmer area than Atlanta and my atemoya never get mature fruit. I have good success with cherimoya, guava and have 5 acre avocado trees. Probably not worth trying unless you keep heated greenhouse all winter fruit doesn’t ripen on atemoya till Christmas or later and no sugar unless it’s warm all time fruit is on tree.

      I do have small greenhouse with two heaters turning on when the temperature dips below freezing. I have guava trees and two papaya trees in my small greenhouse and so far, they are surviving.

      @@kennyoun6126 yes I get almost no frost but the cool weather during final stage of ripening cause my atemoya to be poor taste and kind of rubbery texture. Cherimoya tree has much better chance of producing good quality fruit in area where it’s cooler weather during ripening it will ripen in early spring or late winter with great taste.

      Welcome to the game :) Atemoya is a hybrid breed between a cherimoya and a sugar apple. Atemoya is more aromatic, chewy and sweet.

      How old is your tree and what fertilizer do you uses? Fruit size depends on the age of the tree and how many fruits you keep. Too many fruits for a small tree will produce small fruits.
