- Nothings more satisfying that taking a filthy car and turning it around with a good honest detail, and in this video thats exactly where we find ourselves, detailing this Monday Integra DC5 until it looks the way an iconic JDM car like this should.
A bit about the car we are working on:
The Honda Integra DC5, also known as the Acura RSX in certain markets, stands as a testament to Honda's engineering prowess and commitment to performance. This compact sports car, produced from 2001 to 2006, holds a special place in automotive history, cherished by enthusiasts for its nimble handling, rev-happy engine, and sleek design.
The Integra DC5 was the successor to the DC2 Integra, which had already earned a reputation for its exceptional handling and high-revving engines. With the DC5, Honda aimed to build upon this legacy and deliver a more refined and powerful driving experience.
Introduced in 2001, the DC5 came in two main variants: the base model powered by a 2.0-liter inline-four engine, and the high-performance Type R variant. The base model offered a respectable balance of performance and practicality, while the Type R, true to its lineage, was a track-focused machine designed to extract every ounce of performance from its engine and chassis.
One of the most notable features of the DC5 was its engine. The base model was equipped with the K20A3 engine, capable of producing around 160 horsepower, while the Type R boasted the legendary K20A engine, tuned to deliver upwards of 200 horsepower. If you use this straight out of the bottle how long can it dwell before you need to rinse off with washer. I have a white van that occasionally gets a little bit green and speckled 🤔

How much would I pay for this?
Between $500-2000 they kind of speed along the process in this video and don’t show how much of everything they were doing. But most people don’t even do a “paint enhancement” The lightest form of polishing for under 350 bucks. This car was filthy to start with got polished had its wheels taken off, had its interior cleaned and had its bumper taken off and re-sprayed. That’s a pretty penny for a service like that.
Perhaps 3000 since I’m just now seeing it looks like they did in fact install a proper ceramic coating on the rims so they definitely also did it on the paint.
