That was one thorough wheel clean, the suspense of the rinse off was killing me 🤗
The kerb rash on that wheel was all round the rim....such a shame.
Looks like the drain in the fuel filler is blocked.
Great work considering it was in such a poor state, I think you’ve probably just doubled its value! 😂
What detail brushes do you use? One on the wheel

With a little bit of work, this car can really turn out great.
I advised the owner to do the following:
1) Either buy new wheels or refurbish them (including a complete acid strip, refill & re-spray)
2) replace the tyres because they are all perished
3) Re-spray the bonnet section or at the very least, touch up the rock chips.
4) seal the undercarriage and the arches to prevent rust.
5) Ceramic coat the paintwork using two coats of carpro CQuartz UK 3.0 and one coat of carpro Gliss.
You could do with a cover or awning to keep you from the good old UK weather...quite a decent job, using some good products too!

Another good job and a filthy car, don’t forget the tar removal also, and at-least a hand polish after clay, what clay do you use? Does it show up the muck beings it’s orange??

The detail brushes just a generic brand from Amazon. I tried a few out and I found these are quite soft.
I do have some 26JPN brushes that are quite expensive but very high quality. I use them on more expensive cars.
For the wheels, I use a tuffshine tyre brush and EZ wheels brushes.

yeah, I've found Iron Fallout remover works way better on baked on wheel dirt than wheel cleaning solution does.
How could you let a car like that get into such a bad state

Big improvement but after using a clay bar the car should be machine polished to remove any marring caused by the clay if not a glaze or paint cleanser applied by hand or machine nice video though 👍🏻
Thanks Paul. I was planning on machine polishing but I ran into a few issues. Firstly, the rain prevented me from doing anything. Also, the paintwork was extremely bad. There were lots of chips & peeling (although not easily noticeable on camera). The swirls required a heavy cut, but I didn’t want to risk getting under the clearcoat & damaging the paintwork further.
I ended up using Aqua coat by AutoFinesse because it provides touchless protection for at least 3 months. I contemplated using a paste wax, but again, I didn’t want to touch the paintwork unless necessary.

The 4-door ruins the look. It loses the sporty, aggressive style and starts to look more like a saloon car with an ill-fitting bodykit.

Enjoy the video but we were 10 minutes in and you were still washing the front wheel, would like to have seen more polishing etc 50/50 old and new paintwork especially on a black car looks great 👍
The screws holding the fender molding! Ouch
Its a horrible way to reattach the arches even if the clips are damaged, Tiger seal or something similar works better and looks much tidier.
@@CarefreeCFC83 the owner said that he mounted the curb and the bottom got caught on the edge. It snapped the entire fender piece off.

@@ThatRedNismo the purpose of a presoak (in this case Surfex HD) is to do two things:
1) it acts as a degreaser and cleaning agent, so it begins the process of breaking down any contamination, as well as softening the layers of contamination (first layer is usually dust, followed by road film, then followed by other heavier contamination)
2) it acts as a lubricant, so when you use the pressure washer for the first time, the friction from the pressure washer doesn’t cause the particles of contamination to further embed themselves into the clearcoat.
My type r is almost dirty like this one was 😂.
I actually bought this one from the owner, it is now my car. It was very dirty haha.

@@LostDetails. You will always get trolls mate. No matter how "open and honest" you are.... how kind you are.... how accommodating to folk you are.... once you get one, you will suddenly get a load. Necessary evil but dont be frightened of using the block button. Yes they may come back on a different account but it makes them do work to be able to do it, once isnt an issue but if they have to keep doing it, they will leave you alone in the end. Never engage the trolls....

I’m based in London. My road does however look like a lot of roads in Manchester and Leeds, and looks almost nothing like a normal London road.
@@LostDetails. it's a shame because the traffic noise spoils the video....try muting the sound and playing some none copyright music in the background....I can deffo recommend some good channel names, "NoCopyrightSounds" is deffo worth checking out on UA-cam...."DG MUSIC - Bass Boosted" is another one worth checking out....it might take away a distracting part of your work and replace it with a pleasurable part instead....just a thought...
