BUCKET LIST project car!! | 1963 Mercury Meteor | Will it RUN?

Hey! First off, Hope you have a great Christmas or whatever Holiday you celebrate!
Its that time of the year, budgets are tight, and I decide to buy another car..
Anyway, THIS is a 1963 Mercury Meteor, I've always wanted one, thanks to an old friend ‪@SideMoneyGarage‬, go give him a follow! We don't talk all that much anymore, but I'll always respect him since he treated me fairly at 16, and not just as a the little nerdy kid that I was.
Back to this Meteor, I found it on Marketplace about 3.5 hours from me. I am so lucky to have a great friend that is always down to go mess with these old Fords, so we went and picked it up! It was definitely more rusty than I (and the seller) thought, specifically in the rear rail of the trunk. BUT the body on the car is so solid, that I think we'll be able to manage. It has the small block 260 V8 with a three speed on the tree. This should be a cool little cruiser once we get it back on the road.
Curious to see what you're thoughts are on how we should take this??
I'm thinking lowered, white steel wheels with the factory caps, some portawalls, paint the roof white and maybe even a scallop down the side/hood.
However, all that is considering we CAN get this thing back on the road and figure out how we are going to put floors in this.
Definitely ambitious of me..
