How would you, in manual or P mode, engage eye tracking when taking a selfie? I'd like to set the camera on the tripod, walk in front, and have the camera instantly focus on my eyes. I note that this works in the A+ mode. Please be as detailed as you can with the settings -- I've tried everything I can think of.

How do you feel about shooting video and grabbing a screen shot? Sure, it is an extra step but does allow many potential frames to find the perfect shot.

For still image perhaps it will work. For candid shots that require much faster shutter, it won't. Also it takes more steps to convert video to photo unless you do video most of the time. I'm the opposite.

What focus setting would you use no the A7iii using the built-in intervalometer? I can't seem to get it set to follow focus with a moving subject.

Excellent question. I'd suggest dialing down aperture, ie. using bigger f-stop numbers (eg. f6.3) to ensure a wider depth of field when you use built-in intervalometer. When you use a remote shutter or smart phone (via bluetooth), you can use much shallower depth of field (eg. f2.8) as you could half push to focus. In camera mode, your camera won't follow focus on a moving subject unless you half push the shutter either on the camera or remote control in order to focus. Let me know if this clarifies.
