- Carl Weiseth and Jeff Katz take the rapidly growing sport of Speedriding to a new level in the French Alps this past winter!
Speedriding combines big-mountain skiing with small gliders called "Speedwings", allowing these guys to lay down first tracks on areas of the mountain that have never been skied before.
Check out their website Speedfly.com for more information about the sport, and for details about their training programs in Salt Lake City, UT.
This is absolutely the most beautiful amazing thing I've ever seen a human being doing. I've never been so impressed
The fact that he has like 3 feet on either side of him while going through those mountain chutes is insane. I can’t imagine how thrilling this must feel
Magnifique. Quel talent !!

Amazing what is the name of the last line ?
wow
It's so hard to believe that it's real but it is.
Well that looks tremendously dangerous. EDIT: upon rewatching this I'm very surprised these people aren't dead, this has to be the most dangerous sport in the world. One wrong move, 1 equipment failure and you're done.
Equipment failures are almost never the cause of accidents in this sport. Base jumpin more dangerous tho
There's a reason why the Chamonix valley is informally known as "The Death-Sports Capitol of the World".
As others have said, equipment failures are probably rare with this sort of setup (unless you count things like your parachute "failing" when you cut it too close and shred it on a rockpile).
What are you talking about? Its the safest extreme sport out there. If his parachute fails he still has skis, If his skis fail he still has a parachute.
@@DamienMaclaren - Well, it's not actually a parachute.
@@DamienMaclaren
T' a bien raison toi! C'est pas un parachute , ça n'a rien a voir. C'est le sport avec le plus gros nombre de mort par rapport au nombre de participant au monde.
i will know soon in les ARCS 2000. i let you know my vid if i am alive
Aloha Utards.. former PC guy here living in Cham, FR... would you be kind enough to share some locations with me please? These are some good lines me and the boys would like to fly...many Mahalo...sean...
Les deux Alpes
stopped watching at 01:09 when he grabbed the skis
Huh
Haha I managed to blind that one out to get the rest of the vid, I know under extreme enjoyment they accidentally pop out from nowhere now and again... Youth years popping out of nowhere... lol
