  • I have always loved the forest with all my heart, and to pay homage to the country I grew up in, I have created this little medley of tunes that most people in Sweden know.
"Du Gamla, Du Fria" (Swedish national anthem), the lyrics are written by Richard Dybeck (1844). The melody comes from Västmanland, and it is unknown who wrote it.
The theme song from "The Children of Noisy Village" ("Barnen i Bullerbyn," 1986) is written by Georg Riedel.
The music from "Ronja Rövardotter," 1984, is written by Björn Isfält.
The melody to "Ja må du leva" (Swedish Happy Birthday) is of unknown origin but is of a very common 18th-century type and occurs both with Mozart and Haydn.
"Den Blomstertid Nu Kommer" is a hymn from the year 1695 with the text by Israel Kolmodin. It has been rewritten several times, including by Johan Olof Wallin, who in 1819 did an editing of the text that is used today. The melody is counted as a Swedish folk tune because its composer is unknown.
