Yeah, you can usually find better deals on local auction sites, the prices that I list are for typical eBay/Bricklink listings. Unfortunately these sets are very very rare to find in the US, and we don't have access to most of the European auction sites.

Yes i saw some pretty old train sets for a relatively good price in one Dutch Bricklink shop
